The Restaurant Choice Avis 

Received a £25 gift card as a present but haven't been able to use until now due to Covid restrictions and all restaurants being closed, however the card has now expired and cant be used. Tried contacting Restaurant choice multiple times but no response, their website form doesn't work and keeps asking me to fill in the comments box, which I have, but it wont submit! No recent tweets or facebook replies from the company to hundreds of people in the same boat. They are just keeping everyone's money without providing the service we have payed for. They should be removing all expiry dates during Covid19.

Shocking. Had 2x £25 and the restaurant didn’t accept either. Funds have expired apparently. Absolutely disgusting.

A negative turned into a positive

Having emailed with no response read the reviews on Trustpilot which were the same as my thoughts they took my cash. BUT I thought I give it one more go and after reading a review dated 21 May I phoned and was dealt with by the company very well and have since received my replacement card. Just a shame they could have avoided all the negatives by replying to the previous emails.

Bought 2 x £25 girft cards in May this year. Were sent two that ran out of date last year. Called to complain and was told I would receive replacements within 5-7 working days. 7 working days later and they're still not here. Called again and was told due to high demand, they will be posting them in 2-3 weeks time. Said I didn't want to wait and asked for a refund, was told they're non refundable. Bad business!

Had a gift card expired January 31st 2021, Just phoned spoke to Isaac who was very helpful and polite, the card and amount has been honoured and new one on its way. Many Thanks

I should have posted this earlier to say I did receive a replacement card in the post after my second comment. So, thank you Restaurant Card, we are looking forward to using it soon.

I had 4 Restaurant Choice cards worth £100 in total. Due to lockdown we could'nt use them. Tried using one yesterday and it had expired. I called customer services and spoke to George. Such a courteous gentleman! He is sending out new cards that are valid for 18 months. Thank you George.

I had an expired card that I had been gifted last year, called customer support on 03301233471 and was promptly connected to an agent who was able to help me and issue me a replacement card! They confirmed the new card would be with me in 5-8 working days and that I would have the original balances I had not used. On top of this, they have since changed from being called the restaurant choice to Restaurant Favourites and from when I receive the new card I would have 18 months to use it! Super happy with this result!

We received a gift of fifty pounds worth of these vouchers and due to what’s happened in the world couldn’t use them within the ridiculous timeframe...we tried on several occasions to contact the company to no avail....would I recommend this company.....not on your life they are total rip-off merchants.

My card expired in February 2021 at a value of £50 - I sent a couple of emails via the online contact form, however had no reply.

Followed the advice on here and called the number on the back of the card, spoke to a very helpful person who informed me a replacement card would be sent out and would take 5-7 days, and has an extended expiry date of 18 months.

Can't complain at that!

If you have a gift card that has expired, just PHONE Customers Services on 03301233471 and they will post you a replacement. I called on 22nd April, spoke to Moses who was very helpful and I received my replacement card in the post 3 weeks later. I had been told that it may take 6-8 weeks so was really pleased when it arrived sooner.

I had a £25 voucher with this company, but with the obvious restrictions on restaurants not being open due to the pandemic (and also unable to use voucher for take-outs) it expired. I have emailed 4 times now asking for the voucher to be extended because of this - not 1 response received.

I was given a £50 card by my company at Xmas, expired by May!
Total rip off, Don't buy gift cards!

The worst company ever.

I wasn't able to use this during COVID, as the restaurants were closed. I've e-mailed them twice over a few months, and they've ignored both e-mails. My £30 voucher is now expired, as they're only out to steal your money.

I'll tell everyone I know to avoid this disgusting excuse of a company.

Absolutely shocking do not buy any gift cards from this company, had 1 purchased but due to lock down restrictions we couldn't use & it expired tried contacting them no response awful company steer clear

Just call the customer service telephone number! Cards replaced and will arrive in 1 or 2 weeks. All with excellent professional and polite customer service. Well pleased today. Thank you.

Don't email - call them. I got straight through and they were very honest in saying that a replacement card would probably take about 8 weeks. Will take that over losing the money!

WARNING DO NOT USE! I can not use the code on the website and I have emailed them many times and had no response at all. No phone number. Starting a complaint with the financial ombudsman.
