We're an independent small family Wine Merchant in the United Kingdom. Started by David Robertson, a 40 year veteran of the wine trade, and his son Jamie. Our passion drives us to find those gems that do not cost you an arm and a leg. Really pleased to get one of my favourite reds online and at a fair price. Delivery took a week which is ok but UPS needed me to be in to sign for the parcel - they say at your request. So I’d to wait in for it which was a pain worsened by the fact it was an hour beyond its expected time.
Be better if it could be delivered without a signature. Cheers

Hi William! Apologies on the longer delivery wait. Sometimes we don't have a particular wine in stock and have to delay shipment a couple of days until we receive more. Under our alcohol beverages contract with UPS we are obligated to require an adult signature due to the nature of the product inside. This is to make sure the person receiving the order is over the age of 18. While it is unfortunate they were late to deliver out of their time slot, we sadly have no control over this. I hope you understand. Thanks again ever so much for the order and we hope to see you order again from us soon!

You emailed to say you have more stock arriving this week. It’s Friday night and I haven’t been notified if the stock has arrived , let alone my order processed
UPDATE: I was contacted very late on Friday evening with an apology and an explanation about the delay , followed by another email to my reply. My order has now been delivered and I have again had a follow up email. This company cares about their customers and I can’t fault their response. I’m delighted with my wine and will be ordering again.

Poor communication
Poor communication. No response when I asked them to have the items to be picked up and get a full refund, as 3 out of 12 bottles in my order had been broken by the delivery company. Some of the remaining bottles were covered in spillover. I think the damage was due to mishandling by the delivery co, but also, the way the bottles had been wrapped seemed poor. Sadly, I’ve lost hope for getting my money refunded.

Hi there, I was awaiting to hear back from you upon what was delivered by UPS. We have not heard back from either about the extent of the damage aside from this review. Whether this was an issue on our end or yours we did not receive this email about the collection. Also please be aware. UPS is not supposed to deliver damaged shipments, they repackage the damaged box themselves so we take no responsibility for the quality of their replacement packaging. They are supposed to return all damaged shipments however light, to us.
I am more than happy to process this refund for you now we know the details of what remained. My sincerest apologies for the bad experience, which sadly is out of our hands when in the hands of our couriers, as I assure you. The quality of our packaging is strong, durable and offers more than enough protection. It cannot however, withstand bad mishandling as you mentioned by the courier.
I have went ahead and issued your refund now for the destroyed bottles plus delivery fees. Please check your emails or account for more details.

I wanted wine from a particular South African estate. Robertsons had one varietal at a sensible price but not my favourite merlot. I contacted Jamie to see if they could get it before Christmas, who tried but unfortunately they couldn't, so I ordered my second favourite. It was delivered a few days later double boxed with each bottle individually bubble-wrapped. Excellent and very safe. I'll order my favourite when it becomes available.

My 6 bottles of red wine parcel was despatched to the courier, UPS. UPS lost the parcel. When I alerted David & Jamie of this problem they soon sorted out a personal delivery.
Very nice family business with first-class service.
