I recently have applied for an Equity Release with Royal London. I can only say that I have been extremely happy with the service given and the prompt service. I would definitely recommend Royal London Mutual Ins Society for an excellent service and product.

Efficiency and really quick to deal with my request.
Just being able to talk to someone very polite and friendly didn't make me feel stupid and explained everything regarding my questions very fast at dealing with my query sanitary james was lovely both times I spoke to her she was just lovely infact the people who put me through were also polite and courteous lovely company to deal with
She explained the process very detailed
The request for a withdrawal was submitted on Wed 15th and an autogenerated email responded stating that payment would be made in 5 to 7 working days i.e. between 22 and 24 April.
Today (22nd April) I received email notification that the payment would be made in 3 to 5 working days time i.e. 27 to 29 April. This is totally unacceptable. It shouldn't take 5 days to process a simple request such as this. If you can't make your own deadlines, then I suggest you revise the automated email so that people's expectations are managed according. A week to process and pay these requests should be the target. Just not good enough.
James listened to me and answered all my questions clearly and honestly (I felt) and patiently. I'm much clearer about my options and this will help me make a decision. He was very polite and professional.

Absolutely horrible customer service if there is one in the first place. I have been trying for days to contact them to check on my insurance policy, each call I spent more than 30 mins and never got through to talk to anyone. Absolutely shambolic service. Stay away from Royal London
I'm Annette and I withdrew all pension funds from RL last year. However they are mailing me as 'Gavin' and continue to do so despite my having been in touch with them to inform I am not 'Gavin'. Today I have two levels of security code to vote in AGM .....

Every step was explained to me fully and carried out swiftly and efficiently would highly recommend the service.
Jamie (Donald) was super helpful and very friendly. Answered my queries and quickly provided me with the information/paperwork i needed.
Setting up an income release plan was straightforward and completed within a few days. The process felt secure at all times. Thank you RL Team.

Royal London customer service is excellent. We all feel a little ignorant when it comes to pensions and I'll be honest I didn't really understand how they had changed in recent years.
However, Royal London explain very clearly all the different options. My Annuity contact there is Jane Webb and I cannot praise her highly enough. Very personable yet professional. Very polite and patient. She made sure I understood everything and was happy to repeat or elaborate on anything.
Although, this pension is only a small one I couldn't transfer to my main pension, she still gave me time to consider all my options and to have a call back so I could investigate my options further.
Everything has gone very smoothly and as long as there are no delays with the application, it was quite an easy process.
