I’ll say this plainly, their materials are beautiful.

But I didn’t understand that at the beginning.

When I first started, I genuinely thought something was wrong. I couldn’t smell much, and like some of the reviews here, I assumed the materials were weak… even rubbish. I actually threw them in the bin and left them there for about a week.

That’s how wrong I was.

Later, I was listening to Sam Macer speak about how long it took him to even smell something like Hedione properly, and that hit me. So I went back, took those same materials out of the trash, and gave them another chance.

This time, everything opened up.

Suddenly I could smell, not just smell, but understand. The subtlety, the control, the precision. These are not loud, aggressive materials. They are refined, balanced, and extremely well made.

Now, with more experience, I can say with confidence:
Scentscientists has some of the best quality materials I’ve worked with.

So when I see people saying “I can’t smell anything,” I don’t take it seriously, because I was that person. It’s not the materials. It’s the nose.

Final thought

These are not beginner “wow” materials.
These are real perfumery materials, the kind that reveal themselves once you level up.

And when they do… you realize how good they actually are. THANK YOU SCENTSCIENTIST FOR STARTING ME ON THIS JOURNEY.......

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

Ive had a few oils from scentscientist and have been so impressed, I have recently ordered some in the spray version and the staff were brilliant guiding me through how to order, if you love niche perfume you will not be disappointed, and you can try the oils before you order the sprays.

i will continue to follow products that you will release, i am interested 😀

Initially had an issue with the communication. Since then Elliot has reached out and provided a very sincere apology, which I am satisfied with.

Definitely planning to use the shop again.

My first order was simply the best. Ordered on Monday afternoon, and received on Wednesday morning. Well packed, so nothing to complain about.

Recieved the goods and all i can say is WOW. Amazing quality.
Worth the wait.

The company is real so it's not a scam. The thing is communication, and error. Rather it's with the product or with shipping they run across errors a lot it seems. The kicker is the communication. You basically have to stalk and harass to get a response. It seems as if they are just way understaffed. As if there's only one person handling thousands of orders and thousands of emails. I am sure they are aware of this issue so I have no idea why it hasn't been corrected by now. Nobody should wait over a month for something, while stalking a company for tracking info.

Just wanted to thank Elliot for getting in touch with me and explaining what happened. Amending my initial rating and giving 5 🌟. Also want to thank Elliot for the extra items he sent me at no extra cost. Greatly appreciated. Many thanks to you Elliot.

I've be reading the reviews here and I'm surprised there is negative comments. I found this site by accident and ordered one of there products and to be honest it's the best I've ever tried. Will definitely be ordering from them again .

Terrible customer service, won’t reply to any emails and very limited information sent over when the order was placed, have no idea if my order will ever arrive based on other reviews

After messaging on the shopify app Elliot got back to me straight away, circumstances out of their control meant the order couldn’t be shipped until today so will be arriving tomorrow, looking forward to sampling their products and if all is good using them in the long run

Look I’ll be honest,

The delivery was a little late and I didn’t like the fragrance. However the customer service is very good. Elliot reached out to me and solved the issue and I was eventually left happy.

I placed an order on July 18th and made the payment, but my orders were not sent. I sent an e-mail and a message from the website, but there was no response.

I am really happy with my purchase. I will definitely come back for more of INSPIRED BY series. Bottle is cute(I don't feel ashamed of having a copy,because the bottle look very elegant and niche style) and paper packaging is bonus. No plastic! Quick delivery. Fragrance itself is beautiful and no alcohol smell. I don't know how accurate it is but I will definitely try to get my nose on the OG to compare. I know that OG Hermes is edt and doesn't last that long that is why I wouldn't pay full price for it. I really want to try more from this company. Thanks a lot for affordable option that doesn't look and smell tacky:)

There was initially a glitch with my order but it was dealt with magnanimously and generously so although I cannot comment on the perfume which has yet to arrive their customer service is exemplary.

Really impressed. The package was dispatched really quickly, I received it within a couple of days and it was nicely wrapped. Definitely use again.

Order arrived very quickly, I ordered the Inspired By perfume (White Jasmin and Mint) which has been discontinued from JM and it is beautiful. Do not hesitate to buy this you won’t be dissapointed x

I am so happy with everything I have purchased form this company, my orders have never been delayed and I remember I’ve contacted them once to add something to an existing order and they got back to me the next day. I know it usually take months for some perfume ingredients to arrive when ordering from other places, that’s just how it is, as it is such a niche market and the demand is rising. I’m very happy that this company exists to be honest and you can get things so fast. I also want to add that everything I have from them is a really good quality, so just want to say a massive thank you and I really recommend them!
