Failed delivery, useless customer service

On Oct 9, I ordered a TV-bank by Selsey from Home24. On Nov 3, I was notified by Selsey that my order was successfully delivered, but it was not. The answers that I get from the customer service are polite, but give no result. At the same time Home24 marked the order as delivered. This is the worst.

UPD: They delivered the wrong item, which is also damaged.

DO NOT BUY ANY PORDUCTS FROM SELSEY

No communication possibilities besides e-mail coms, which is just once a day and trying to hide and slow down complaints about the product.
Return of the product took almost two weeks, in which century we are living?!
No information in advance about an earlier delivery
No working telephone number
avoid to buy anything from that company at any cost !

Most horrable experience since years, I regret to overlooked that really bad reviews. I am going to never buy something from Selsey again

Avoid Selsey products at all cost

Avoid Selsey products at all cost, they sell knock off furniture at rip off prices. Purchased the sofa for about £800 and within 3 months the legs have started coming off due to poor manufacturing and they are unwilling to solve the issue.

Poor products and even worse customer service.

I can not believe Amazon lets a company like this trade on their platform and as a result I have cancelled my prime membership.

Paid over a 1000 for a sofa
Absolutely poor service start to finish.
The sofa bed section broke within the 1st month.
Complained they made me wait 6 months for a part, took the day off work Wrong Part!!
Complained again stated they would send me a whole new middle section within 4 weeks.
Near enough the time they sent me a email stating they will no longer be delivering to the uk.
They did offer me a 250 refund which I did take as i had no option.
But that 250 is not to pay someone to try and fix the broken section of the sofa.
The sofa is made from cheap wood and chipboard.
Id avoid this company at all costs.

Do not purchase your goods from here. They are not UK based, they are based in Poland. The sofa we purchased is poorly made, thin fabric, thin pieces of MDF and they refuse to acknowledge or take responsibility for their lack of craftsmanship. My sofa bed basically cracked in half and they refuse to do anything about it. I should have listened to the reviews here.

DO NOT BUY. Actually dangerously made furniture. Our couch was horrible to build (there were no holes where there were meant to be…to out screws in and the instructions were terrible) and within a few months a piece of wood under the cushion snapped making it not useable! When asking for a repair I was told it was “mechanical” as in “I broke it myself”… I am a pretty average weight and I did nothing but sit on this couch.. and it snapped?!!! Can you imagine!?

Honestly, do not buy

Awful company

Awful company. Bought a tv unit through wowcher and it’s already long overdue the delivery date. I told them I wanted it refunded and they said it will be delivered in another 2 weeks. I replied saying I can’t wait longer and to cancel it, and they just forwarded me the same email they had already sent, saying it will be another 2 weeks. Terrible company, feels like a scam and their customer service is the worst I’ve experienced. Don’t use them for any reason.

Wish I could give zero stars ,bought a suite came damaged also has to be built up does not state this on website details ,sent them photos asking for new one to be told I have to pack up the one sent ship it back to them then they will send another one !!!!yiu sold me damaged goods you should collect and send new one .I have 2 children under 6 one with special needs how can I have no sofa until yiu decide to do this shocking please do not use this company AVOID AVOID AVOID

Joke of a company!!!

I bought a settee through wowcher and was given an estimated delivery date of today (14/3/22) and that someone would be in touch within 2 weeks to confirm delivery.

2 weeks passed with no contact. Contacted them via email and was advised that order would be put through and someone will be in touch within 2 weeks to confirm delivery.

Emailed last week to say noone had been touch. Was advised that they would contact courier for an update.

Emailed them again 2 days later to request an update - no response.

Decided to ring them this morning- what a joke. You get through stay on hold for 30mins after which get told you will be put through to a consultant soon then get cut off. I am now on my fifth attempt trying to speak with someone!!!

I am now starting to think that this is a scam and when I finally get through I want my money back!!!

Hopefully someone from Selsey will read this and contact me or even pick up the phone!!!!

Avoid This Company At All Costs

Avoid This Company At All Costs. They Have Been An Absolute Nightmare. Cabinet ordered in September took almost a month to arrive damaged to such an extent items had clearly fallen out in transit plus the rest of the cabinet was soaking wet. I am still fighting to have the parts replaced with relentless e mails not being answered or being told the parts are being made in the factory ready to ship to me. Halway through February and still waiting I hold out no hope anything will ever arrive. E Mails just brush you off when they do reply weeks later. Please Avoid wasting your money with this dreadful company based in Poland but trade under a .co.uk website.

Just No... Never again.

Had to the unfortunately deal with Selsey because I brought from Manomano.com (do not use these too). Issue with sofa with in correct instructions. Bolts not fitting, and the pouffe (footrest thing) was taller than the sofa so looked very odd. Had to remediate this myself with a few compromises.

Contacted support through manomano and they forward to Selsey so been dealing with them direct. After countless emails back and fourth, photos as evidence and even uploading a video with commentary of the issues. They still not progressed. It was delay tactics and have no intention of resolving.

This left me feeling infuriating . I had to repeat myself over again and they even requested I upload the video again. I have confirmation the video has been downloaded so why do I need to do that? Refuse to believe that in that time no one viewed the video. And if they did not it shows how poor they are.

I don't believe I will ever get it resolved. But if I do it would be fair to update. I think I will cut my losses and buy a new sofa next year and learn to live with this one for now.

My advice is to avoid Selsey and manomano if you don't want to be disappointed. Use them at your own risk.

Update. After the above. Selsey compensated me with some money back which is about right for the issues I faced. But it was difficult getting here.

I ordered a pink arm chair from Selsey…

I ordered a pink arm chair from Selsey and it came with the legs broken . Contacted Selsey about it , got a response and lots of promises. Now, a month and half later they say that the manufacturer still needs to make the chair! What kind of company is that ? I am a pensioner and paid a lot of money for a chair that is broken ! I asked for either a new chair or a refund, still waiting for a reply…
Should have read the reviews..stay away from this company…! It is now end of January, still no refund which they promised. How come that Standard and Trading service doesn’t look into this bogus company?
They should be shut down and not rob money of pensioners !
So I finally got my refund. Thank you.

A total nightmare

A total nightmare. This company is a joke. Warning never purchase any from them,they are not fit for purpose. I ordered a pendant light fitting from Mano Mano on the 27th November 2021.never received the item . Numerous contacts with Mano Mano, but they are also useless, another one to avoid.
Had an email today from Selsey informing me the the courier is UPS and that they can locate the item at any of their distribution centres in the uk. I asked them to resend the item but the are ignoring my request. I paid over£100 for this item. Reading the reviews . I’m astonished they are so bad. Never again,they are a joke

I ordered a hallway unit in august…

I ordered a hallway unit in august which was finally delivered 2 months later . When it arrived the mirror was smashed so I contacted Selsey who told me they’d ship a replacement mirror . 3 months later and I’m still waiting with the box just sat in my hallway . I don’t like to complain about things but this company is unbelievably incompetent. I really wish I’d read the reviews before ordering . I’ve ended up buying another hallway unit now because it’s been that long and have emailed asking for a refund but have just been ignored . I wouldn’t recommend anyone using this company unless you want to pay for something that you won’t receive .

I should have read these reviews before I placed my order. Ordered tv unit 31st August and stated on the website it would be 3 weeks to dispatch. Here we are on 15th October and still no tv unit. Been testing tv on a box for the last 8 weeks. All chasing has been from our end and absolutely no explanation from Selsey. If your thinking of buying as cheaper than elsewhere don’t bother unless you don’t need it for a few weeks. Do not advertise delivery dates that you cannot keep .. found out yesterday that only just arrived in country. Back to Wayfair we go.

Thanks for the reply but we didn’t buy from Wayfair .. we bought from you and now 9 weeks. Where is my furniture??!!

Never had to deal with such a bad…

Never had to deal with such a bad company before. I was put on hold every time when i rang, with no1 answering the phone for 30 mins few days in a raw! No response to emails, facebook messenger, nothing!! Never ever order from them! This is a scam company that needs shutting down immediately! After reading the rest of reviews I dont want my order anymore i want a refund!

Sofa got lost, stools got lost, complete disinformation, website doesn’t work well, contact option in error. Total time waste and still don’t know if money as well.

Absolutely shocking!

Absolutely shocking! Over 4 months and still no delivery, with numerous emails back and forth with their office@ email and receiving insulting excuses everytime. Would recommend staying away from this company!
