En blandet oplevelse: Har flere ældre Silva-kompasser, der virker fint og altid har gjort det! :-)
Og ét lille, der var decideret ubrugeligt (ville helst pege mod syd - men var heller ikke her stabilt). Silva siger selv, det er lavet under licens i USA - og at de indenfor de sidste par år _har_ fået styr på deres licensaftaler. Så /forventeligt/ bør man ikke få tilsvarende "skrald", hvis man køber helt nye modeller... Det håber jeg er rigtigt og hæver derfor anmeldelsen til hele 3 stjerner! ;-)
Silva dont stand over their products
I was relying on the Cross Trail 7R during a remote ski tour in the mountains when it failed completely. Without warning, the light wouldn’t turn on. At first, I assumed it was my mistake — maybe I’d forgotten to charge it. But once I made it back home using my partner’s headlamp, I checked and found the battery was fully charged. The unit just wouldn’t power on.
This was a serious failure in a situation where dependable equipment isn’t just important — it’s essential. I was lucky to have someone else with me, but had I been alone, it could have ended very differently.
I reached out to Silva support, explaining the issue and providing video evidence. Unfortunately, they refused to offer any help because I couldn’t locate the original receipt. Despite the clear fault, they wouldn’t stand over the product, offer any troubleshooting advice beyond generic instructions, or provide any goodwill solution.
For a premium product marketed for demanding environments, I expected better. I’ve used Silva gear in the past and wanted to continue doing so, but after this experience I’ve lost confidence in both the product and the brand.

Deras kundservice blew my mind! Christoffer välte berg för att hjälpa mig, trodde inte att kundservice i den klassen existerade.
Very poor quality
The products are well designed but very poorly made. I have a head torch which is very temperamental, it works about half the time. The battery connections can be a problem, but sometimes I can’t figure out the problem and the light refuses to turn on, then an hour later it works.

De sparte noen kroner på en ny lykt, men taper ganske greit på at jeg aldri tar sjansen på Silva eller Primus noen sinne igjen.

Just started using the carbon trekking poles I bought and they're great, Poles are well constructed, light and strong, easy to adjust to the required height. Accents are more balanced and descents over loose and slippery ground made much easier. They attach to my rucksack when not required so always to hand. Take them on every trek now...
Kundeservice trenger et oppløft
19/8-2025 kjøpte jeg 2 Drybags med ventil for å komprimere klær og div på tur. Ved mottak så er den ene Drybagen ødelagt da ventilen har løsnet fra selve gummikanten. Drybag nr 2 holder ikke på vakuum så den blåser seg opp igjen. Har sendt 2 henvendelser via Silva sin nettside men hører ingen ting. Når man bruker chattefunskjonen på nettsiden så får man beskjed om at melding ikke er sendt. Selve Drybagen er fin,robust og rask frakt fra man bestiller, men når jeg ikke får svar overhode så blir jeg skeptisk til om det er en seriøs Forhandler.
Burde kjøpt i Norge så det er lettere å få hjelp på garanti saker men siden de var på tilbud og et kjent merke tenkte jeg det var trygt og enkelt men nei. Hører jeg ikke noe denne uka så får Klarna ta saken, evnt så betaler jeg faktura å fikser ventilen selv. Disse skal brukes på fjelltur 5/9-2025 så begynner å haste.
Greit utvalg,rask frakt,produktene er generelt bra da jeg har flere Silva Drybags men akkurat Kundeservice der har Silva noe å jobbe med
1/9-2025 fikk jeg svar fra en kundebehandler som var kjempehyggelig og fikk nye drybager uten problemer men nå var det en revne i selve brettekanten på den ene posen så lakk den og. Jeg fikk beholde de 2 første drybagene og fikk 2 nye og lappet den nye så det holder. Fikk et AI generert svar og de hadde ingen opplevelse med akkurat mitt problem så de hadde ingen løsning på hvorfor det skjer. Selve designet på ventilen er bedre så det har holdt så noe bra er det jo men kjøper ikke denne type drybag igjen. Får ikke 5 stjerner pga produksjon utfordring
Falska löften om garanti
2 års garanti beskrivs det på hemsidan men när yttermaterialet på produkten sedan börjat flagna inom denna tid var enda svaret från kundtjänst "yttre faktorer" och "oaktsamhet" utan att specificera närmare. Väskan har använts till och från jobbet på cykel... Mycket besviken på bemötandet.
Miserable product
Miserable product. The bag broke in less than 8 moths of barely using it. Customer service told me photos aint right that i should make a movie :)) .

Silva Sweden gets 10 out of 10 in my opinion. I've purchased one backpack and three running belts.
They are the best type of these products I've ever purchased and they look good too, they're excellent quality and I'm sure I'll have them for the rest of my life.
I had to contact customer services, i corresponded with Susy, my situation was dealt with diligently and I'm very happy with the result.
This is one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had.

I purchased a running vest for Christmas for my daughter. Unfortunately it was too big.
I emailed to find out how to get an exchange or refund.
I was told I was outside the return deadline. I was shocked as this was a present?
I would think an exchange was not to much to ask!
I have had to purchase another jacket from a different website.
I must admit the way it arrived, shoved in a grey bag, no packaging or paperwork, i should have realised this was a shoddy company who really doesn’t care about customer service.

I bought a Silva Compass via Amazon as a Christmas gift for my son. There was a discrepancy in the Amazon listing and the item arrived slightly differing from the description. I emailed Primus-Silva UK Customer Services and received a swift reply. The matter was dealt with very quickly, efficiently and pleasantly by Susy. Five star customer service.

Silva sendte produktene til feil adresse og fril land og i stedet for å ordne opp, så kanselleres ordren.
Første gang jeg opplever en kundeservice som ikke er interessert i å løse et problem som de selv er skyld i og i det minste beklage at de har gjort en feil. Du får legge inn en ordre på nytt var svaret…
Nei takk, Silva. Jeg får vente til pengene er tilbake på konto igjen og bruke dem et annet sted. Krysser fingrene for at de sender pengene riktig vei da…

Helt perfekt liten pannlampa från Silvia, värd 5 stjärnor, om det inte vore för batteriluckan man måste använda ett hårt föremål för att öppna eller göra sönder sina fingrar. Kul om man ska byta batteri i mörka skogen eller rättare sagt farligt.
Quality products, excellent customer service.
I have used Silva compasses for years for orienteering and find them nice to use, accurate and durable. I ordered a Ranger compass for my daughter as a Christmas present but I made a slight error in the postcode and it was delivered to the wrong address, (as couriers use postcodes and don't really read the address.) Silva kindly agreed to send a replacement one to me and to try to recover the first compass via the courier. Thank you Silva, that was really helpful and much appreciated.

Good products and good after sales support
Have bought a few Silva products, with a recent purchase being an extra battery for my Trail Runner Free headlamp. After a few months, the battery started giving issues (which I can't fault them for; Li-ion batteries can be like that...).
Customer support was great, and a few days later a replacement part arrived via courier. So at least in the UK customer support gets a thumbs up from me.
