Using Solar Sherpa stopped me from making an expensive mistake, the advice and guidance is excellent.

Good time keeping completed quickly

The information, guidance and general know how provided by Alex has been really helpful and much appreciated by myself and elderly father.

At the start I did not know just what questions to ask when seeking information on solar. The articles in Solar Sherpa provided that information. In addition they could recommend a number if installers who they have checked out. I have used one of there recomended installers who has been excellent.
They provided 4 separate quotes to cover different combinations of equipment. We chose to instal 24 panels and a 10kW battery and inverter plus an energy gateway all by SigEnergy plus a diverter by Eddi for the emersion heater.
We are waiting for a smart meter instalation, due next week so we can change our energy tariff and be paid for energy supplied to the grid. (presently giving our excess free to the grid)
Not had to import any electricity from the grid as generation exceeds our usage.
The scaffolding, roofers and electricians were excellent and very professional. An excellent job well done by the team at Rygol Electrical Services.

Last year I began looking for quotes for solar, I very quickly drowned in offers of quotes with not enough information to learn what I needed. This was education before sales. So much more relaxing and easy to trust.
Once I'd decided to use their search they recommend the three businesses closest to my home who were on their recommended and trusted list. One of those was a company who is spoken with last year & actually got some sense.
They've been really good and have helped design a system to suit my needs for now and future.
Solar sherpa have been in touch since to check I've had s good experience and leave some helpful info on what to expect next.

Learnt alot about Solar and what to look out for.

With solar panels going to decorate your roof for the next c.30yrs, and the ancillaries (inverters, battery, etc) having a 10-20yr and with the cost involved you want to make sure your investment is sensibly undertaken.
Thank heavens I stumbled across Solar-Sherpa from a Google search. They have been great at demystifying the complexity (& bullsh*t) of some of the options you get presented with. They provide great bite-sized insight emails that chunk out the details in a clear and meaningful manner. Additionally, they passed my enquiry to 3 supplier/installers who provided more meaningful quotes than the two I received from major utility companies.
I have now accepted a quote for 22 solar panels, 14kWh battery, 6kw inverter, emergency power system, etc.. Currently waiting for the DNO approval process to complete and then get the works undertaken.
Expectations are for a c.7-8yr payback and hopefully less
