Very bad, asking to pay to book a view, be careful, it’s literally a scam.

Even when pay and sign up, you will still get automated replies coercing you to pay and sign up again when you want to view a property, like today I saw ad by them on Gumtree ,contacted them to view, they say I have to sign up and pay £79, but I already have, they decide which viewings for you telling you not to discuss any other properties with Barretts landlords, he himself started handing out list of other properties but they need a guarantor and £5000 to move in, the other place in Askew Road was oily with creasy 2 sets of steps to get to the most hellish, mice infested, tiny loft space for extortionate rent, I'm not here to tell lies, I have actually been economical just to warn others not to waste their money with this company, you can do it yourself.im very very disappointed with Spacelet, I feel cheated and duped and conned .

I called these agents to view a property. Their answer was that they will send me a link to subscribe and pay a £80 fee in order to get to view their properties. I just hung up as this sounded like a scam. Do not fall into such a trap and encourage these malpractices that I'm almost certain are illegal!

Worst experience ever, it’s a scam, I was really hoping I would get a nice place as they promised on the website but it was really Disappointed, it’s a completely SCAM dont ever sign up for this, 79£ not really good service, good luck to you finding a place, spacelet 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼😡

This company is everything that's wrong with society and contributing to the housing crisis... As soon as they get your £80 joining fee then you will get treated like dirt. The rooms they advertise don't exist and the ones which do exist are not the same price as they originally claim. It seems that the few good reviews they have received are from a small minority of people who happened to get treated okay, but the odds are Spacelet will treat you like scum as soon as they get your money and you will have to find another place to rent on your own anyway even after paying

I don't understand all the bad reviews as I found a place shortly after registering. The staff were really helpful and I had at least 2 viewings a day for a couple of weeks until I found the right place. If your looking for something fancy this is not the place but it's great for affordable studios. I would definitely recommend.

Spacelet charges fees to view properties. In the UK, charging tenants for this service is considered illegal.
According to the law, it is prohibited for landlords or agents to impose a fee for the service of property viewing, as the act of viewing is an integral part of the tenancy-granting process.

Unprofessional, Nasty and discriminitive customer service advisor. First time ever contacting the company I simple rang up to enquire about a property and ended up with That silly customer advisor saying ‘spacelets doesn’t want to help people like you’ slammed the phone and blocked my number. Throughout the interaction she extremely rude.

Absolutely scam:
They took my £80 and they dont even find a room. They even reply to your email. They will not even give your refund. They are bloody scam dont use them.

Scam agency.

After more than a month since I signed up with this scam agency I had one viewing for something over my budget but the third party agency who showed the place in case was asking 6 months in advance payment which spacelet "forgot" to mention on their website.

When I told to the lady who is answering the phones about the bad reviews on the trust pilot she said: everyone can write everything these days.

I m a membership AG8651 with a Wishlist on their website as they requested and nothing happened for more than a month. Scam

Update: everyone who got scammed by the Spacelet can call their banks and got the payments back, the bank will easily help against these scammers. This is what I've done. They will try to scare you with the terms and condition you accepted it, the banks says it's not working. Good luck everyone. :)

Shame on you! Asking 79£ just to look at properties. Big waste of time and big scam!

I ended up finding a nice self contained studio in a nice area after a roughly a month and in a nice area. I had to pay six months in advance so that I can get it quick otherwise someone else would have taken it. I give it 4 stars though because of the properties I’ve seen before getting my studio. Although I like the studio I’m in, I didn’t really feel at ease when I saw the other properties and as if I was a landlord, I wouldn’t want others to live in such and such properties like I saw. Just either looking too cramped dirty or with a weird outlook with a bed close to the ceiling and the place is dirty but the price was £1,500. I have seen calm/good studios but others are just not liveable for anyone to be in. Apart from that, I appreciate their service as I am in self contained studio I’m satisfied with in a good are too.

Totally unreliable. They don’t listen to the requirements you need for a property and send you to look at dirty rooms. The rooms they send you through the Bartlett Group are fine but the staff they send to show you the property are so RUDE. They never send you to view the rooms you request to see even though they are available on the website. Please save your time and your money. Would give them 0 stars if possible

You can never rent a flat here. It’s just a waste of time trusting this website. They pretend to have contacted the landlords but there will never be any progress in your application. The website usually shows 403 error, I wondered why I hadn’t spotted these weird flaws that other property finder platforms do not have and had wasted more than two months and 79 pounds. They strictly forbid my cousin from contacting them on my behalf since I could not reach them, seems like they fear legal investigations!

Please do yourself a favour and try avoid them, they do more damage than anything.
They use a third party agency (Bartlett group) for viewings leading to misunderstandings and miscommunication all the time.
They lie quite openly about the condition of the paces you're sent to see.
If you want to use them ask for photos first as they will happily send you to a whole different place from what you applied for.
I'm also pretty sure that most of the properties on their website are there to attract people to use them. They themselves are not managing agents of anything.
There's more to say, but trust me when I tell you not to interact with them.
You'll only be out of £ and time.

Scam, do not pay the fee they ask. Studios they offer require 6 months payments ahead and so on..
Just well organised fraud.

Scam. Don't even bother. Nothing they advertise is available.
