Small point but it matters to me because I’m paying. Why does Ripley Starbucks seem to think that a cortado comes in a large mug, “it doesn’t “ it should be in a small glass as this is how it’s advertised simple really. Needs sorting.

Useless scammers
I attempted to preorder two cups of teas using the rewards section of the Starbucks app. I paused my order halfway through to confirm the location of the preorder, but when I came back my 260 stars had been taken, and no order placed. Having spoken to the staff of the order location they confirmed they had no online orders, and that I should speak to the customer support chat.
After repeating the issue three times in the first support chat I was told that my email doesn't exist for any account. The same occured on the second chat I opened, only this time the agent told me that I had to open the UK support channel. I opened the link he sent me, it simply took me to a 404 page not found error on the Starbucks site. I have deleted the app and will not be shopping their again. Throughout the porccesor the staff were slow responding (3-4 minutes ites, sometimes even ignoring me) and close to rude, accusing me of providing the wrong email, even when directly copy and pasted front the Starbucks app.
Incorrect Order and Poor Complaint Handling
I’m extremely disappointed with both my experience in store and how Starbucks handled the complaint afterwards.
I ordered a flat white with oat milk, as I avoid dairy due to digestive issues. Unfortunately, the drink I was served clearly contained dairy milk instead. After drinking it, I became unwell, which is exactly what I try to avoid by ordering milk alternatives in the first place.
Mistakes can happen in busy environments, and I would have accepted an apology and reassurance that steps would be taken to prevent it happening again. However, what really disappointed me was the way the complaint was handled afterwards.
After raising the issue, I waited weeks for a response. When Starbucks eventually replied, they focused on explaining store procedures and pointed out that they had no other complaints that day. They also relied on the receipt not showing an alternative milk, despite the fact that this does not necessarily reflect what was verbally ordered at the counter.
Rather than acknowledging the error or the impact on the customer, the response felt defensive and dismissive, as if the priority was to protect procedures rather than address what actually happened.
To make matters worse, my complaint was initially closed without resolution, and I had to chase the matter myself. Even after reopening it, there has been no real attempt to resolve the situation or rebuild customer trust.
Starbucks promotes itself as being attentive to customer needs, including dietary requirements, but this experience suggests otherwise. When customers order milk alternatives, it is often for health reasons, and mistakes are not trivial.
What upset me most is not just receiving the wrong drink, but the lack of accountability and poor complaint handling afterwards. Customers shouldn’t feel brushed aside when raising legitimate concerns.
Sadly, this experience has put me off visiting Starbucks again, and I definately won’t be rushing back.
Untoasted fruit toast

Extremely disappointed with my recent visit. I paid £7.75 for a hot chocolate and fruit toast, which feels incredibly steep given the quality. The "toast" was barely touched by heat on one side and completely untoasted on the other—leaving it stodgy, sickly, and unappetizing. For a premium price, I expected a premium snack. I’ll be sticking to Costa in the future where the quality is at least consistent.

The Starbucks store in Quinton Hagley Road West is very poor - poor service, poor cleanliness . I went in today as a Starbucks loyalty customer to have my fave fruit toast and cappuccino to be served it in a takeaway bag and plastic cup - I reminded them I was staying in , they said oh we are unable to use crockery - no mugs or plates - , it was not busy but the store was unclean- a very very disappointing experience. Seems I will now not be visiting my local Starbucks store - seriously it needs new management

This evening, I was greeted by Holly and Shannon with friendly smiles, which instantly made me feel welcome. I stayed for a while to study, and the atmosphere was comfortable and calm, making it easy to focus. Holly and Shannon were kind and attentive, which really added to the experience. Overall, this Starbucks is a really nice place to study, and the great service made it even better. Thanks girls!
The best pistachio latte and the best costumer service

I am writing to share some very positive feedback about my experience at your Starbucks store yesterday at around 17:30 on 22/01/26 at Clapham Junction- platform 13/14.
I was served by a young gentleman whose customer service was genuinely exceptional. He was extremely polite, warm, and professional, with excellent people skills — particularly impressive given how busy a station environment can be.
He went above and beyond by taking the time to make me a coffee that was not even on the menu, purely to ensure I enjoyed my drink. The result was outstanding — it was honestly the best pistachio latte I have ever had. I am quite particular about coffee, having previously worked in a coffee shop, so I don’t say this lightly.
I felt it was important to share this because I previously used to visit the Worthing Broadwater Starbucks branch regularly, but stopped due to consistently poor customer service and coffee quality. Yesterday’s experience at your Clapham Junction store was a complete contrast and reminded me of how good Starbucks can be when staff are well trained, engaged, and customer-focused.
He is a real credit to your team and truly deserves recognition.
