SCAM ALERT: Auto-Renewal Trap and Zero Service for a Year (AVOID!)

STAY AWAY from this company. This is not a tutoring service; it's a predatory subscription trap designed to drain your bank account. I signed up for the "Student Pass" (a mandatory fee just to contact a tutor), and ended up not using the service for a full 12 months.

I was billed 39 euro every single month, resulting in a total unwarranted loss of over 400 euro for a service that was NEVER RENDERED OR ACCESSED FOR A FULL YEAR, ZERO ACCESS, ZERO LESSONS

This is unethical and unacceptable. Their business model relies on confusing consumers with unclear terms and hoping they forget to cancel a useless subscription.

WARNING TO ALL CONSUMERS: Do not give this company your card details

I have provided Superprof with all evidence of non-usage. This is a complete failure of customer service and a violation of consumer trust.

The service provided is totally professional and it readily adapts to suit both tutors and students.

Nice platform, have met some great students through it.

Superprof isn’t new, it’s been around since 2013, and most people are familiar with how it works by now. It’s a very popular platform for finding and contacting teachers, and it’s available in many countries. I’ve found a wonderful teacher there for my child. It’s always a good idea to contact a few teachers to find the best fit.
I also check out teachers’ lesson packs, since the savings can cover the Superprof membership while i keep exploring new learning arenas.

Good site, got a great tutor from it

Superprof is fake and fraud... fake id and fake profile...takes money and do not give it to you teachers.. discrimination and fake.. delete my chat or block my account but I shall expose the truth

Where do I begin?
No trial or introductory offer what so ever and if you wish to contact a tutor, you must spend the €39 and it was incredibly poor value for money. I sincerely regret bothering and wish I sourced a tutor elsewhere.

One of the tutors that I seen were good but others I tried to contact were awful. They cancelled on me, had very poor communication, underhanded tactics trying to charge me more than their displayed rate on the platform.

Trying to ignore the fact that they offered a lesson for free when booking.
It probably speaks volumes about how terrible this platform is that their tutors are actively trying to transact off it.

The hilarious cherry on the top was the pathetic attempt of an apology from Gwen (customer care).
Not interested in rectifying the situation, offering me any reimbursement etc. no she wanted to assist me in booking another tutor.. like I'm somehow incapable of doing it myself. Like i haven't already blocked Superprof from attempting to take the second payment.

Avoid this company like the plague.

It is helping building my teaching practice in ways I couldn't imagine.

My only suggestion, please create some short webinars or articles for teachers best practices 🙏

Great way to find a tutor

Outdated database: you have to check yourself if the tutors are still available.
Once a tutor accepted your request, you are immediately charged €39, even if the tutor later cannot make the course, and you have to remember to stop the automatic monthly subscription...
That being said, the support is wonderful.
They have sorted up our issue with this tutor and were very helpful.

These guys are nothing other than gatekeepers for services. 39 euro just to access a tutor, who charge you themselves. Happy to pay the tutors, but why on earth would I pay anyone else? Absolute scam artists.

Superprof platform has helped me to have a side income, teaching my native language. It is the perfect site to get more visibility and increase the number of my students.
I am using the platform since 2023 and I got a great expeience meeting people of all ages that are looking to add a new language to their range of skills.

I've been using Superprof as a tutor for over two years now and my experience has been fantastic. I've met so many wonderful students through this website and I've never had any issues with Superprof myself.
