Excellent portal where to find tutor for any subject and also for tutors to fund students. I used it mostly as a Tutor and I always had very good experience. The customer service is also pretty responsive in case of issues

A tutor's perspective
I'm a tutor on this platform and have had a really good experience. Customer support is very strong and the platform lets me operate freely without trying to police my interactions with students, or try to extract commissions from my lessons. The premium fees are reasonable, making it one a very few viable platforms for professional tutors.

Deceives customers - scam company
Similar experience to many others. Money deducted and rolling monthly subscription set up with out any information about this being set up. Not made clear that €39 would be deducted simply by having a potential tutor accept your initial enquiry, whether you agree to go ahead or not with the tutor. Customers should not have to go into a websites legal page or help centre to find out hidden costs. Avoid and find tutors on more reputable sites.

Absolute Scam – Avoid at All Costs
This company is nothing but a pure scam. They advertise that you won’t be charged until a tutor accepts your offer, but in reality, they sneakily set up hidden monthly payments and drain money from your account without clear consent.
On top of that, their so-called customer support is a complete joke — unhelpful, dismissive, and impossible to deal with. They make it as hard as possible to get your money back, and it feels like the whole setup is designed to trick people rather than help them.
Stay far away from Superprof Ireland. They are dishonest, predatory, and should not be trusted with your personal or financial details.

It specified that the subscription is automatically renewed every month until you cancel it.

TUTORS, BEWARE OF THE FRAUD!
I was expecting a payment from my online student through a platform called SUPERPROF. I received an email from SUPERPROF asking me to confirm my bank details in order to process the payment. However, they requested my card number, CVV, and the current balance in my account. This seemed suspicious, especially since they insisted that I should have a balance at least equal to the amount I was set to receive. After I provided my card information, they charged me €175. When I inquired about a refund, they told me it wasn't possible due to an error on their end. Instead, they requested that I top up my card again in order to receive my payment.

Beware of Subscriptions
Just discovered today that a 7th monthly subscription has been taken from our bank account. 7 x €39 gone when only 1 x €39 initial subscription was earned by Superprof for initial access to website.

I too was suckered by their 'Sharp Practice', which is only that for them. I fully recognise that it was my oversight, having cancelled the first lesson, which had been an intended gift, believing that was the end. I opened a case with the European Consumer Centre but Superprof, of course, refused to engage. They took 6 months payment for NO service at all. Do Not sign up. Super scammers is a more appropriate title.

Misleading information and unprofessional etiquette
I would give 0 stars if I could since I was utterly disappointed with their services. Initially I was looking for teachers to tutor my daughter on their website. Once we did find a teacher, I needed to pay a "student pass" of €39 to actually contact the teacher. When I paid for the pass, and managed to message this teacher, I noticed how the lesson details she messaged me varied to the ones displayed in her bio on the website. She stated that the first lesson she'd take with my daughter would be free, and would start at 12pm on the following day. However, when she made a proposal for her lesson, it stated that the first lesson would have a charge of €18.50 for the last half hour of the one hour lesson and it would begin at 11.15 am and end at 12.15pm. I found this quite misleading and unprofessional, so I opted out of this service. I cancelled my plan in less than 4 hours, and requested a refund of the €39 I had paid. The Superprof team denied me a refund of my money, claiming that I had used my pass already to contact teachers - only one of them - on their platform. I replied back saying that I had cancelled my plan, yet they still did not return my money. The other tutor who I contacted for a different subject never responded. So I had cancelled my request made to the tutor. They sent me screenshot of tutor's profile to support the tutors charges, which I believe was altered to favour the company's interest.
Hence I'm immensely frustrated with the service offered on their platform. I doubt if the tutor services listed on their platform are even genuine.

It is also important to note that tutors on our site can offer a different amount of time for their first free lesson; this can be the first 30 minutes free, 20 minutes, or the first full hour. The remaining time will be calculated at the tutor's normal hourly rate.

Be very aware when you pay subscription…
Be very aware when you pay subscription of €39 you are automatically setting yourself up for future payments monthly , this fact is at the end of their business details. It is called sharp practice to tie people in automatically and unfairly.
Another question why would you automatically be charged again for another service that had not neen sought by the customer ?

Total scam
Total scam - searched for a Chemistry Tutor in my local area, she accepted my request after 24 hours, then I was debited the €39 which was not clear from the start. Heard nothing from the tutor for another day after I had responded to her looking to set up the tutoring for my son. I found her email and mobile number within her profile and called her. Her profile picture was that of a 19 year old Irish girl and this lady that answered the phone was definitely of Asian decent and when I quizzed her about receiving my notifications on the platforms and the two texts I had sent her earlier that morning on both whatsApp and normal messaging, she said she received neither notifications nor any messages! Total fake profile. I asked her what her hourly rate was and she said €30 an hour but her profile said €25. She must be getting a backhander from Superprof for the initial response to me accepting to tutor and this must trigger the €39 subscription activation. I was so annoyed and called my bank who advised me to cancel my card as from reading other reviews, the €39 keeps coming out monthly even if you suspend your membership. Don't trust these guys. I am just annoyed with myself for not doing my due diligence and researching it properly.

It is a subscription
The same story. 39 euros taken from the account just to be able to contact a music teacher. I thought I was paying for piano lessons. The subscription info was not clear and misleading. It should be more transparent. The good thing is that after I wrote to them to cancel the subscription, they responded immediately and cancelled it.

Took 39 Euros from account
Similar to other customers, 39 euros was taken from account as soon as I signed up to the student pass even though no tutor had accepted my request.
Unable to cancel my subscription as the student pass is at pending status. I will be informing my Bank that this company has taken an unauthorised payment from my account unless it is refunded

I'm sorry if this charge came as an unexpected or unpleasant surprise but am happy to clarify the situation!
Due to bank payment procedures, when a student signs up for the Student Pass, the subscription fee will show as pending immediately in their bank account.
Pending amounts are transactions that have been authorised but not fully processed yet. Essentially they are held by a bank to ensure there are sufficient funds in anticipation of a debit occurring.
I would like to reassure you that the charge is only debited if a tutor accepts your lesson request within the 72-hour period tutors have to respond to a lesson request; otherwise, the pending charge will eventually be removed from your bank account.
You can also contact our customer care team at helloireland@superprof.com and we can cancel the pending charge before the lesson request is accepted or you can also cancel your request by the My Message tab on your dashboard.

Paid €39 to join and then took another €39 the next month without my knowledge or consent.
Tried emailing several times to be ignored.
Also makes it very difficult to unsubscribe.
I will report this company for fraud if the matter is not resolved.

Superprof keep taking unauthorised money from my account!!
I signed up with Superprof and found a tutor who was amazing but we decided to connect offline. I paid the agreed fee. She has not received any payment from Superprof. I only gave a payment method to message a tutor. I have no issue paying for my initial contact but they have now taken €39 for the past three months. I have cancelled my account but am unable to remove my payment details. Do not sign up to this!!!
