Very professional and friendly

Mechanic turned up slightly early,explaining everything he was going to do,afterwards gave me advice on things that would need doing shortly,was very friendly and courteous

AVOID AVOID AVOID. A month ago they left me stranded for over 4 hours. Then, today, I arranged for one of their mobile mechanics to come and do diagnostics on my car. Had a text the night before to confirm they would be with me, as planned and paid for before midday today. However, they didn't turn up, nor did they call to offer a explanation, instead, I chased them to be told they wont be coming and they offered me next week. When I asked to talk to a manager they were all in meetings and the ignorant rude chap then simply HUNG UP! Im DONE with everything that has the AA associated with it and will cancel my insurance, breakdown with them. They are USELESS AND DO NOT DESERVE YOUR MONEY IN THIS ECONOMY

Really pleased with AA mobile service. David was really good and kept me updated with what was happening and answered questions i had.

Jonny the mechanic was superb in both his ability and his attitude.I commend his performance and he deserves high praise from his management team.As far as I'm concerned he's a top man .

On Sunday morning, our car wouldn't start, so I used our AA Breakdown cover to call out a recovery vehicle. The guy, Ben, did a fantastic job identifying that the starter motor had failed. I assumed he would arrange a tow to a nearby garage but he said that I should consider using AA's Smart Care service, as they would be able to repair it on our driveway. I agreed and he booked us in for a slot on the following Thursday. I was a little nervous as we had a family holiday booked on the Saturday and needed my car for the drive but the booking was confirmed, we paid up front and were told the mechanic would be in touch.

My wife took the day off work and waited for the mechanic but they did not call or arrive. I rang the helpline at 4pm and was told they would look into it and call me back. By 5pm I hadn't heard anything so called again, speaking to a different operator they told me they couldn't get hold of the mechanic or the dispatch team, but my car definitely wouldn't be fixed that day and I should call back tomorrow. On Friday, I had to take the day off work but when I called, I was told that there would be no chance my car could be seen until the following week(!) and no explanation as to why. I asked if it would be possible to have a breakdown van tow it to a garage instead and they said no. I then asked if they could provide a hire car and was told this wasn't possible. I ended up paying over £200 to hire a car so we wouldn't lose out on our family trip. A mechanic turned up on Tuesday - 9 days after the initial call out - and carried out the repair quickly and professionally but had no idea that the initial booking had been cancelled or why.

I understand the AA wanting to offer this as a service and I must stress that the people I dealt with face-to-face were all professional and did their job, but given how much more it cost us, in time, money and stress, rather than simply taking the car to our normal garage and the complete lack of communication from the Smart Care team, I cannot recommend anyone use this service.

Arrived, a bit later than ecpected, but did the service expertly. Absolutely fine!

I give a 3 star rating for the service. I booked in for a major service, which only took the mechanics under an hour to do. The website stated they would be with my car for a couple of hours. With this information: I felt it was to short of a job for a major sevice.

From booking through to the interim service every thing went smoothly, easy to book and mechanics were polite and professional and were well on time.

Service booked for 10 days time. Cancelled by mechanic the day before it was due. Booked a 2nd appointment.. was told I’d get a call on the morning of appointment and a call 15 minutes beforehand. Neither call came. Waited all day.. he turned up 15:50pm. I had to leave for an urgent appointment so gave him the key and asked him to put it through the door with the paperwork. Key was left but no receipt so I have absolutely no idea what he did/did not do. The oil is still black.. was on hold for 72 minutes and no one answered my call. Effing disgusting 🤬🤬

Easy to organise and engineer arrived on time. Provided all checks as advertised and found no faults. Just advice on what to look out to be aware of
