The Gender Clinic at 70 Harley Street Avis 

I had two interviews needed for a Gender Recognition Certificate, one by video link, as I live abroad, and one in person at Harley St. The interviewers were Dr. Hejda-Forde and Dr. Leontis. Both of them were very friendly, and I actually enjoyed talking to them. The clinic is well organised, and all my administrative queries were handled quickly and professionally. Fees are reasonable for the level of service provided. If you are seeking a clinic for anything gender-related, I can recommend Dr. Popelyuk's clinic highly.

I had a referral for top surgery conducted by Marianna Leontis and she was fantastic. She was full of empathy, really took the time to listen, and helped ease my anxiety throughout the process. I felt supported and understood every step of the way. I couldn’t recommend The Gender Clinic enough; a truly positive experience and I will be forever grateful for their help and support.

While £550 is a lot of money for the consultation, it wasn't the most or the least expensive option, and the reviews put me at ease for using this particular clinic.

The person on the phone who spoke to me to book my appointment was incredibly nice, and extremely informative, going so far as to email me a list of Endocrinologists, along with a list of the required blood tests for that next step despite these blood tests not being part of the appointment I was booking.
They talked me through the process of the appointment and beyond it step by step, and I was very pleased to be able to be seen within just a matter of a month or so.

The appointment itself did feel rushed - we were working to a tight schedule - and as someone who struggles in social situations I did find the pacing quite stressful. While I understand there are criteria needing to be met, the rapid succession of questions and the way they were formulated made it feel at numerous times as though I wasn't "trans" enough, or wasn't saying the "right" things. This is a combination of the situation and my own anxieties, but did make the experience quite overwhelming for me.

That being said, the report has been sent to me two weeks later (which was the timing I was given), providing me with the diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria and they are now in the process of referring me to an Endocrinologist.

All in all, the experience has been swift, efficient and professional, with largely friendly staff, and my only critique would be that the rushed "speed-questioning" caught me off-guard and was something I found socially difficult to navigate as a neurodiverse person.

Other than that, I am now securely on my journey to receive the HRT I've wanted for so long!

I've had multiple excellent experiences with The Gender Clinic. Working with them as part of getting referrals for surgical/insurance approvals and everything went smoothly and professionally. All the Doctors I've dealt with have been extremely knowledgeable and respectful, the whole process was actually quite fun! I'll be in touch with them again in future for any further evaluations/referrals I require 🙂

The Gender Clinic is fantastic. Making an appointment was quick and easy and I had an appointment within a month. My appointment was realy pleasant and you are thoroughly listened to and made to feel very comfortable. I had my diagnosis within 3 weeks and have been refered to a hormone clinic, but also my GP has accepted my diagnosis for an NHS referral at the same time. All I can say is thank you so much and I can't recommend enough!

Having also gone through multiple other providers for enquiries and appointments, I can 100% say that The Gender Clinic is better than the others out there. Appointments are fast, their customer service team are amazing, all my queries were answered quickly and effectively. My psychiatrist was lovely and understanding and I got all my reports back quickly, and any changes that needed made were back to me within 2 days. They're very easy to work with, from my first initial query last year where someone rang me the same day I sent an appointment request, to my last contact with them this week. Where as other providers I've worked with only email, and Ive had email replies take up to 6 weeks to come through. When we live in a world of having to advocate for ourselves and our healthcare, and often having to turn to private care, The Gender Clinic has made that experience a positive one.

I had my assessment for gender dysphoria with Dr Khalid on the 15th of April 2025, after waiting less than a month (due to cancellations and an appointment being offered, my original assessment was going to be the 25th). Communication through the phone and email was prompt, welcoming and very much made me feel confident in booking an assessment with them.

Dr Khalid was professional and made me feel at ease throughout, she enquired about my experience and history of dysphoria, the steps I'd taken to transition and planned to take, among other areas, and generally carried out the assessment in a comprehensive way. I felt that she listened to me properly, and the accurate and insightful report reflects that. She also contacted my partner (the person I chose) during the appointment to ask about his view on my history of dysphoria with him and for him to corroborate my transition thus far.

I've now received my report and it has just been sent to the endocrinologist I asked to be referred to (and my GP), just over a couple of weeks after my assessment. There was a minor error in the section on the conversation with my partner, but it was quickly rectified (following the draft being sent to me to review before the report was finalised and sent).

I would absolutely recommend the Gender Clinic to any trans person who is able to afford it. I realise that some trans people wouldn't be able to spend that much, but I am happy that the price of the assessment was worth receiving a professional and credible diagnosis for gender dysphoria. I'm waiting on a decision about shared care with my GP, and having my assessment with the Gender Clinic and Dr Khalid has made me more confident they may agree.

i contacted the gender clinic to get a gender dysphoria diagnosis on the 31st of march & got my self booked in for the 30th of april initially, i was rung the next morning to say they had a cancellation/free spot the coming friday. so i took it. i had my appointment with Dr Anna Streeruwitz & she was so understanding & there was not a single second i felt uncomfortable. i was a little anxious at the start but anna made me feel safe & that i could express my self without worrying. i also received my diagnosis report within 11 days!!! i would DEFINITELY recommend the gender clinic!!! may be abit on the pricey side but it’s 100% worth it. once again thankyou gender clinic & thank you anna :)

I felt really supported by the gender clinic, and I'm really grateful I chose to go with them after being turned down from another provider. I reached out mid-Feb and was offered an appointment for April 2nd, before a receptionist reached out and said there was a cancellation, offering me an appointment for five days later which I was ecstatic with. I met with Dr Khalid and she made me feel really supported and understood throughout the whole experience, guiding me in the direction of interest sometimes when I went off on an unrelated ramble. Two of my collateral calls fell through but she was patient and understanding when I asked my mother to come on the call instead. I understand to some that the idea of a collateral contact may feel invasive, but I didn't feel that at all and the questions were asked in front of me so I knew what they were and it didn't feel secretive or strange in the slightest.

I got my report back on the 4th March and it had one error in it, which was corrected the next morning by Dr Popelyuk's PA and then sent on to the relevant contacts, and I couldn't be more grateful for the entire process. The send-off email was professional and thoughtful, and they offered me further support for my possible ASD symptoms that Dr Khalid suggested I may be experiencing. All in all, a really wonderful experience.
