The Gender Clinic at 70 Harley Street Avis 

This clinic is professional, provides quick service, and very knowledgeable. I was able to get an appointment within a month of contact (due to a cancellation) and received my referral a few weeks after the appointment was complete.

The only gripe is that this service is very expensive, charging almost £600 for a 1.5 hour consultation, which I suppose can be expected with private clinics when people require quick outcomes.

Overall, I would recommend this clinic highly to anyone who can afford it and is looking for a quick referral with a professional knowledgeable in the field.

Within just over a month of my initial email to the clinic I received my full comprehensive report with my gender dysphoria diagnosis. Of course, £500 is on the expensive side but for me this was incredibly worth it and I was very fortunate to be in the position to pursue the appointment. Some questions did feel very probing, however Dr Khalid's professionalism was very reassuring. I highly recommend the clinic for those who are able to.
Also worth noting my appointment was brought forward from early November due to extra availability, so not everyone's may be as speedy as mine was.

I recently went to The Gender Clinic for a gender dysphoria diagnosis and referral to go on hormones. The people I communicated with leading up to the appointment were very helpful, kind, patient, and quick with their responses to any queries I had and continued to support me during and after my appointment. I didn't have to wait long for my appointment. For my diagnosis I saw Dr Farah Khalid who was also very kind, understanding, and allowed room for any questions or queries which I appreciated. I received my formal diagnosis just over a week after my appointment to which they then sent it to my preferred hormone clinic for me once I confirmed the report to be accurate. This whole process was very easy/accessible and I would recommend The Gender Clinic to other transgender people in the future.

Going down the route of going private with the gender clinic was one of the best decisions ive made. Right from my first enquiry to any other questions i had the team always got back to me quickly!
The video assessment was a worry of mine because i am quite an anxious person but Dr Tamara Anderson immediately made me feel at ease with her warm presence and gentle voice. I felt understood and listened to and she was in control of the questions and direction of the assessment so i didnt have to worry about what to say, i only had to answer.
After the Video assessment the team got back to me quickly with my report which was written in a respectful way. The team also referred me to The Hormone Clinic where i could start the next step of my journey.
Overall the experience was amazing and something that seemed really scary quickly became okay.

Super kind staff, extremely helpful team, with as fast a turnaround as possible given the current trans waiting lists. The price can feel quite high, but it's entirely worth it if you're able to save up. I had Dr Tamara Anderson as my assessor and at no point did she make me feel insecure or "not trans enough", and the referral process onto the Gender Hormone Clinic was super easy

I contacted the gender clinic, received a same-day phone call and booked an assessment with Dr. Hedje-Forde, for which I only had to wait six weeks. The assessment process itself was very straightforward, and I felt completely supported the whole way through. They then followed this by providing my diagnostic report within 3 working days, and very promptly sending it to my endocrinologist of choice. It's no secret that transgender healthcare in the UK is a major challenge, but for anyone who can afford it I would wholeheartedly recommend The Gender Clinic.

I can't express what a weight has been lifted due to my experience with The Gender Clinic. I turned to them after being let down by two other private services. Their communication with me was impeccable; being clear, informative and efficient. My dysphoria assessment was compassionate and they listened to me well. I finally feel like my needs are being met.
I would highly recommend their services - especially if you are sick of waiting for the NHS or other services.

I had an appointment for a referral and it was absolutely amazing! Everything went smoothly and straightforward. The staff there were so kind and helpful . 100% I would recommend.

They handled everything very quickly and with a great level of professionalism. It was quick, efficient and easy. I reached out to grab a Gender Dysphoria diagnosis and put me on the path to HRT and they handled it so well and made the whole experience quite easy with no need to worry or feel like I had to prove myself to them.

Dr Leontis who I had my appointment with made it feel more like a casual conversation and never once did I feel under scrutiny or alienated. I went for my top surgery referral and they are absolutely amazing I contacted them on the 16th of march 2024 and today it is the 5th of July.

It took 51 days for me to get my referral and that is no time at all compared to other clinics!

the workers and psychiatrists know exactly what they're talking about and they're the most responsive and respectful people I have worked with in the medical field. These psychiatrist made me feel seen and actually cared for.

IT IS WORTH THE PRICE, if you need any trans medical referrals then this is the place you want to go!

I saw Dr Leontis for a diagnosis of gender dysphoria and referral for top surgery.
I am non-binary and have complex mental health issues (schizo affective disorder and EUPD) so I was anxious this may be a problem in getting a referral.
Dr Leontis quickly put my mind at ease and reassured me there were no trick questions and they were simply after the full story of me and my gender journey so far.
The call was about an hour long and was fully comprehensive.
Going into the appointment I had been told that it was likely I would need a follow up because of my mental health problems so I was pleasantly surprised when dr Leontis said she was happy to give me the referral and diagnosis after our call. This was because I had been open and honest throughout our call and had provided lots of evidence prior to our conversation that I was in a good mental state. (Letters from therapist, psych etc).

I was able to get an appointment about a month after first contact and though it was somewhat expensive, I feel the speed and quality of the service means I have zero regrets in choosing Dr Popleyuk’s team.

Since my meeting I have received my report and it is very thorough and true to what was discussed. It has been forwarded to my chosen surgeon and honestly, I can’t thank Dr Leontis and the rest of the team enough!

For anyone that can spare the money I would massively recommend The Gender Clinic! I had my online appointment with Dr Hejda-Forde and had no problems, she was very patient, encouraging and respectful, and it felt like she was there to help. The appointment waiting time was quick (few weeks from booking) and any email questions I sent were answered very very quickly, normally within an hour. When I called them they answered straight away and were very friendly and helpful on the phone. They sent useful reminders about the upcoming appointment and I got the report within 3 working days even though they said it could be 2 weeks which was amazing. I had a great talk with Doctor Anderson for 1 hr about gender dysphoria and came out feeling great with a referral for horomones! Would recommend to anyone looking for a practice to diagnose then with Gender dysphoria and get a referral for horomones

I had a 1hr appointment with Dr Marianna Leontis for a Gender dysphoria diagnosis and referral for HRT. She was so lovely and respectful and made sure she got all the info she possibly could to write my report successfully. Yes £500 is a lot of money especially in times like these but when your NHS waiting list has no end in sight, £500 for an amazing service is 100% worth it. My referral has been sent and i now have a Gender dysphoria diagnosis! Could bot be happier.
