AVOID! SCAM! They took my money and sent me an order confirmation immediately. After waiting for 3 days (paid for delivery time slot) I emailed to ask where my promised order tracking link was. No reply. I tried calling and got an automated "We're having technical problems" message. No contact from them since and several weeks have passed. I wanted to try ditching Amazon, but I've been burned too many times trying to support a business directly.

DO NOT BUY from this awful company.
Thelightingcentre.co.uk has been the worst online shopping experience I have ever had.
There was zero communication for over a month. They did not reply to emails, and their phone line was closed due to a “technical fault”. It seems they simply did not want customers to call, because emails can be ignored — but speaking to a person would mean accountability.
Delivery took over a month. When the switches finally arrived, they were not assembled, which is standard with every other store I have used. On top of that, they state in capital letters that any returned goods are subject to a minimum 15% handling charge.
I truly wish I had read the other reviews before ordering. I hope you do.

Very good price and order arrived on time, BUT not packaged well in a Royal Mail bag delivered by Evri. One switch broken in the individual packaging. Absolutely no response via email or their message service. Phone has recorded message saying technical issues use live chat, doesn't exist! Quick look on google street view their premises looks derelict!

I've left I don't know how many messages with online chat and email
Also tried ringing to constantly hear the lines are down I've also tried FB messenger and I've had an odd reply which hasn't re resolved my complaint
I ordered some switches from them in may to be told they would be out of stock until 2nd week of June
They sent me a different color to tide me over but I've now had to re order from elsewhere as I was banking on them for my new kitchen..
I was happy to wait until June but there's just no communication from them when you need them
I'm complaining more about the customer service than the product

As the vast majority of the reviews say, this company is awful. Heed the warnings and do not use them. I wish I had checked Trust pilot before ordering.
1. They do not answer any emails.
2. They do not answer their phone - permanent technical fault message recorded.
3. They do not deliver goods when they say they will. My item was expected delivery 2-3 days. It arrived after 15 days.
4. They ignore requests for order cancellation. I asked for the order to be cancelled because it wasn't delivered when it was supposed to be. They did not do this (but also did not tell me - see no. 1) and I ended up receiving the goods against my wishes later.
5. I will now be left out of pocket because I have to pay for the return even though I cancelled the order due to their own lateness and non existent customer service.
Truly a disgrace of a company. The owners should be ashamed of themselves.

Shocking service. Light delivered broken - fair enough, these things happen. Phone number never answered though, so emailed. No response in weeks. Shipped the bust light back and will do a charge back on my debit card. Just about the worst service ever, though on the bright side they did manage to ship a (broken) light, I guess.

Would rather rate them 0 if they was an option. I’ve order some plug sockets and received an email to say they would email again with tracking number. It has been over 2 weeks I’ve received NOTHING! I’ve tried to ring it doesn’t work, I’ve emailed heard nothing. I’ve even messaged on Facebook and instragram. ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!

Order not received, tried contacting company by phone and email, no response. Check their facebook profile, loads of customers with same problem, looks like , feels like, sounds like a SCAM!

Don’t waste your time and money,ordered item over two weeks ago.never received items,rang numerous times but recorded message saying tech fault &can’t answer,also emailed ten times and web chat but still no answer to my order.DO NOT USE

AVOID this company. If anything goes wrong with your order/payment/product then Customer Service is totally non-existent. Phone line says out of order due to "technical issues" - from previous posts on this site, this has been the case for at least 12 months (probably longer). LiveChat has no "Live" person at the other end. Absolutely no response to eMails sent to the "Sales" eMail address. Easily the worst online Company I've ever had to deal with.

Offer a product and service and both not forthcoming. No product (in stock on their website) no next day delivery (offered on their website), in fact no delivery at all. Will not reply to emails and phone system seems to be permanently not working. Money returned by PayPal.

I have not received the item I ordered although it says 2-3 days. That was over a week ago.
I had sent two emails to their customer service with no response. I have tried calling but you cannot get through.

I placed my order on 21/03/2026 and only just received the item today - 05/06/2026. I continually contacted them to ask for a refund as I was sick of waiting for it and bought it elsewhere and did not receive a single reply. Terrible company - stay clear

£50 + REFUND NEVER RECEIVED!
Do not ever purchase from this store. Customer service is horrific and the returns process vague and complex. After eventually figuring out how to return the lamps I purchased (in their perfect original condition and packaging) I never received my money back. Disappointed and disgusted.

Initially they sent a faulty lamp but did then replace this. The replacement has broken and they will not answer any emails. Really annoying as paid £75 for lamp!

13 days after order and still haven't received my item Cannot phone. I have emailed.
Should have delivered within 2 -3 days.
Not happy

Terrible they have taken payment but no delivery cannot get in touch with anyone on line or phone.
