Absolutely worst customer service when…

Absolutely worst customer service when you call up with an issue. Hold times over 1 hour. When you do finally get through to someone they are rude, suspend your account then hang up so they don't have to deal with the issue. You have no alternative than to call back and be on hold again for over an hour. Again another rude agent and low and behold they hang up. Absolute joke. Buy your tickets in store, don't even think about using the app.

Ive been waiting on their phone line…

Ive been waiting on their phone line (131 868) for 2 hours now and this has been the case for the past week, and the other day the call ended after I had waited an hour on the phone!

My issue is that my account has been waiting for verification for multiple MONTHS so I can't log in at all. Sort your stuff out, people are willing to throw their money down the drain and into your pockets and you cant even have decent customer service.

Dont bother telling me to call your phone nuber because im waiting on the queue right now LOL also to make the call less annoying, consider changing the wait music from some guy telling the same 2 stories over and over with the constant interruption of the automated voice saying "thank you for continuing to hold" every 5 seconds.

I wanted to withdraw my money from my online account. They wouldn't give me the $100 I wanted. Said I can only have $25. What right do they have to keep my money. Don't join this scam app.

Dodgy as thieves.
I tried to deposit $25 and instead my bank notified me $253 was transfered. This is not what was on my screen when sent, now apparently they have a useless withdraw funds button because they will not allow me to get it back regardless of how long it takes to verify everything. They want me to gamble it all away. This is blatant thievery. Currently getting Fair Trading to look at it. Even dodgy car yards are more subtle. I will not let them win, lets start a class action to get this out in the open. As to calling wait times are hours, not for me, you call me, i am too busy earning a living. Gambling compliance as well as minister and shadow minister for gambling in qld notified. Have a nice day.

Customer Service

Customer Service - what a joke whenever I call (regardless of time or day) I’m waiting 2 hours for someone to answer my call.
Every couple of weeks I get a message from The Lott saying I’ve got to change my password and they’ve suspended my account as my password has become public.
So I have to call and wait 2 hours every time.
It’s a vicious circle - account suspension - have to change password- have to call customer service.
Ahhh!!!!!!!!!!!what in the hell is going on????

Customer support wait times are TOTALLY UNREASONABLE. Have waited over 2 HOURS each time for a simple phone number change ALL WEEK. Still hasnt been fixed... how hard is it really? I suppose this is the Lott telling me to stop gambling. At this rate I might just oblige.

Fraudulent

Wow, a scam operating out in the open. You can win prize money but can never withdraw it, only use it to play more tickets. For example, I had a win of $81.00. When I try to withdraw the winnings it says “insufficient funds” even when the balance says $81.50.
There is a note that says “Funds that have been deposited via BPay, Direct Deposit (EFT), PayPal, Visa card or Mastercard cannot be withdrawn to bank accounts.” Okay, so that covers every payment method possible…
Simply have a look at the responses to these reviews below to get a sense of how they operate - they don’t care. Not sure how The Lott has managed to avoid being investigated by the ACCC.

Cannot log into my account anymore thanks to those stupid puzzles

I'm on the autism spectrum and I struggle a lot to process various kinds of information. So I keep trying and trying to solve these stupid puzzles to log into my account and I can't! I guess they don't want me to spend money and buy a ticket then. Who's the genius who decided to make it so difficult and prevent people form being able to access their account?? I could understand one CAPTCHA as a security measure, but having to complete 5-10 puzzles? Ridiculous

Was double charged and blamed for your technical incompetence

When I was making a ticket purchase and pressed submit to process the payment, the screen turned to white and froze. However, the purchase went through yet theLott charged me $26.95 twice. It was a technical fault. I noticed the double charge later when going through my bank transactions, and notified the bank, which raised an incident and eventually I had one of the double charges re-imbursed. A few weeks later when I tried to log into theLott, they had blocked my account. I called them up and their tech support was extremely rude and said I owe them $26.95 for the reimbursement or they won't reactivate the account. I told them I already paid them for the one ticket that I purchased, they had no right to double charge me as I didn't purchase 2 tickets, and was double charged, where the transaction was processed on 28/10/23 at 07:58:31 and then less than a second later, again at 07:58:42. He was so nasty and unprofessional about it that I just told your tech support guy - your company has lost a customer and hung up on him. Tech guy - please fix your bugs you slacker. If you don't know how to, get someone else to fix it instead of blaming the customer.

They Play The Sucker

Always those with the least money, desperate in desperate times, get sucked into The Lott's promises of big wins. I am sure their draws are legitimate and monitored fairly as they don't need to cheat on players, it's already done so by the extra balls and greater odds against you. Lotto used to be 6 from 40. Adding five more balls greatly reduced your chances of winning a major prize, you'd have to spend way more to get the coverage in whatever system or wheel you use. And their prices have increased. I remember when a system 9 was $20. And Sat lotto is even more jacked up in cost. You really do need to be lucky. Powerball the same. There is no excuse for jacking up the cost of Saturday Lotto just because the payout is better, which inevitably results in many lower payouts because every man and his dog is playing. I appreciate that funds go to kids hospitals et al, but why not the arts? British Lotteries fund major arts and consequently their culture is richer for it. The Lott are just greedy and much of their scaping from poor losers like us go to their corporate execs and buddies. We are considering moving to New Zealand and there the NZ Lotto is 6 from 40, not 45. And add a Powerball to their Lotto if you wish. Sure the prizes aren't as high as you would get here, but a better chance at winning *something* more often is better than the little chance you have in Australia. Who needs 80 million? Or 20 million? I'd be happy with a 1 mil win to pay off a few bills. This accumulation of odds against you to award a single individual a huge sum of money is just adding to the one percenters. It's far better in our society to spread more smaller wins to more people who need it, instead of filling the coffers of execs and their various sprogging associates who beat their chests when a single individual wins a mega prize that will by all historic research usually go to waste. If you win 'too much', then give to charity.  For every 80m winner, I bet there are 80 people who would put their hands up just for a million. Play The Lott and your chances are slim pickin's; these vampires just want to keep sucking your dollar til you are too old to know what to do with money. My advice? Look for games with less balls. Would be great if we had Fantasy 5, much better odds. But no,The Lott want to jack you off for as much of your hard-earned bux as they can. Btw, stay away from those international lottery vendors, you have no control.

Don't play with them, you'll lose everything!!!

It's been almost two weeks since I submitted documents for ID verification. they are currently still unverified.
i'm still receiving sms prompting me to verify my identity as if I had submitted nothing at all, and my account is likely to be suspended in few days

I spent a lot of money in scratchy, and now i've lost every single 2nd chance i had!!!

Disappointing

Disappointing - can’t even get through on the phone to discuss an issue. Having been advised it was a 30 sec wait, still waiting 15 minutes. Tried again - same story. Was very pleased I could call on a weekend but wondering where the ‘next available consultant’ actually is???

The Lott app is the most inefficient app i have used.
I set up my login details and logged on. I made a purchase. The next time i attempted to log in i was told my details are incorrect. I checked what I had put in, and it agreed. I tried again, checking my details before hitting the enter key. same result.
I changed my password. OK, it went in.
Next time i tried, again it said my details were wrong.
When i purchased at the local agent, i told the operator of my experience. She said she had the same experience and had eventually given up trying with the app.
