Million Yeah special Saturday draws Complaint

My complaint is with the Million Yeah special Saturday draws like tonight's on the 10th of April 2021. If you look at the Monday/Wednesday draw on your website it says 1 million for up to 4 winners. Why doesn't the million yeah say 1 million for up to 10 winners on the page that shows all the games you can play on your online website. I was under the belief that with the increase per game for Saturday lotto per game and a minimum new 1st prize division of 5 million dollars, this million Yeah draw is in breach of what you announced to the public as to the minimum 1st division prize able to be won on Saturday nights when increasing the cost per game. The 10 million on offer in the Million Yeah promotion is not shared between first division prize winners if there is LESS than 10 winners, so if you are the only winner or there is up to 10 winners you only get a million bucks each. I understand that in a normal Saturday draw where 5 million is the 1st prize amount and there is 50 first division, 1 winners, for example, it will be divided by the 50 winners and you get a lot less, but to me, the whole purpose of playing Saturday lotto is the chance of winning hopefully more than a million dollars and if I win as the only first division winner it would be 5 million bucks that i win. This is the very reason I do not play Monday/ Wednesday lotto as if there is NO division 1 winner the 1st division prize NEVER jackpots to the following draw like it use to. Now that I have found out that the Million Yeah promotion only pays a maximum of 1 million dollars for up to 10 winners, I will no longer play this special draw and put that money into Ozlotto or Powerball where they have a jackpot even though the odds at winning are greater. On Powerball why is there NO prize for 4 correct numbers, dump the last prize division and offer a prize for four winning numbers.

In last night's Million Yeah Saturday draw there were 4 first division prize winners, so they should recieve $1 million each, wrong? the 4 first division prize winners each received $1,695,815.49 from a total first division prize pool of $6,783,261.96. What has not been clearly stated and explained when anyone of us purchases a ticket in the million Yeah draws is that if there are less than 10 winners the Regular first division prize pool usually somewhere between 5 and 7 million dollars is shared by the number of first division prize winners if there are less than 10. This needs to be clearly explained each time The Lotto has one of these special Saturday draws as I played fewer games thinking the most I could win was a million dollars regardless if there are 1 to 10 winners. This is why a rarely play Monday and Wednesday lotto as the first division now does not Jackpot like it use to, many years ago if there is no division 1 winner.

I have a matter before thelott

I have a matter before thelott. Their website won´t let me log into my online account. It never gets past the login box. I don´t use vpns or any thing special, and for years now I´ve successfully used the site, with the same browser. I´m quite upset. I had a small win and can neither play new games nor withdraw this winning. I have contacted thelott by email and now phone and they can´t see why. Resetting password is meant to unlock but it didn´t work. The phone operator said my account is not suspended. As I have not changed my computer or way to log in, I have great concerns about all this. I begin to suspect there are secret reasons why I am blocked from using my account. It´s the only thing left for me to think. Why would an organisation that I´ve used for over 26 years now, suddenly do this to me? They won´t admit I´m locked out and won´t tell me why. Am I a national security risk? It defies all sensible belief. It´s like a work of spy fiction.
Update, 31 July 2025. I still find their service unsatisfactory. It is not right that as an Aust citizen I cannot use the site from abroad. I pay taxes, I have played for many years, it is my right. Other sites allow me to play Aust games but I dont want to use them as they charge more.

Being trapped Overseas due to Covid

Being trapped Overseas due to Covid am no longer able to access my account. was fine 2 weeks ago. I called and they said when I return I can then log in. What a joke. Plane tickets are so expensive due to travel restrictions and most seats unavailable, due to capping of number of passengers

Can't log in!!!

About 2 months ago i had to travel overseas for some urgent family matter and i played more than once using the lott's app, while overseas, without any problems until couple of days ago i couldn't log in, tried different devices but still no luck, tried the website but still heaving the same message coming up " An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later"
Any one knows why!!!!!

2 weeks later......
Arrived to Australia, and still haven't heard from "the lott", but the system is up and running. My understanding is if you try to play outside of the country you might get lucky to play for a up to 3 weeks when the system relises you're in a different country and it blocks your account..... Especially if you won couple of times in a row like i did 😀😀😀, wasn't an exciting win tho, just a $15 😁

Very Slow Funds Credit - 1980's stuff!

I am annoyed at the time it takes from sending funds to my account. We are in the 3rd. decade of the 21st. century fgs! My bank tells me that it uses "osko" and The Lott also uses "osko", which apparently means real time sending and acknowledgement of receipt of funds. The Lott bank acknowledges that it has received my funds transfer within seconds. However it can take up to *3 working days* to credit the funds. What the ****? You have my funds to use for up to 3 days while i await access? It's not a cheque that I've banked with you requiring 3 days bank clearance time, it's an instant electronic transfer of funds. Sure, allow say 12-24 hours to process the funds to my account. But up to 3 days! What a scam! How about you institute some modern office procedures The Lott, instead of maintaining high shareholder returns at the expense of customer satisfaction and efficiency.

I am one of those very unhappy lotto…

I am one of those very unhappy lotto customers not enjoying the price hike especially the new 6th division on Saturday night lotto I want to really hope I win alot more 6 divisions atleast twice as many as I have done in the past to warrant me putting it in every Saturday night .In 1985 I worked in a Newsagent the price for a Standard 12 lotto was $2.65 and that was better odds back then as there was a field of only 40 numbers.Taking into account now that was 35 years ago wages are significantly higher is a given but I remember then too that I won a division 3 prize which returned a prize amount of just over $500. I haven't won a division 3 since sadly. What I truly can't understand is the lotto has gone up almost 4 times that amount and harder to win because of the field of 45 numbers and the prize amounts for all divisions have remained similar amounts. I realise that the lotto is a mugs game and is all sheer luck but the mugs prices are just getting ridiculous

I bought a range of tickets in one week…

I bought a range of tickets in one week and transferred funds accordingly to the exact amount to pay for the tickets
Went through checkout and checked my purchases
I went back to check results and found I had credit in my account
Figuring I had won checked my tickets
No win and tickets missing
Not sure if I should be paranoid or not
If they were losing tickets I’m fearful for the refund..but if they weren’t ??

The lotto has been ruined by the lott!

The lotto has been ruined by 'the lott'. The change in the divisions by removing the 2 lower ie 1 plus 2 and 2 plus 2 is greed on their part. The prize for 3 numbers is pathetic at around $7.00. I have done a system 8 for 30 years. For three and a supp I used to get between 200 to 300 as a win. Now its $115 !
The price increase is not justified. Their excuse is more winners? so if someone gets back $7.00 that's a win? come on that's a damm joke. Almost laughable.
I run a work syndicate and we spend 80.00 per FN. I have noticed the wins sliding down the scale over the past couple of years. I feel guilty taking their money now so will wind it up.
Fix it and go back to what it was before the recent change. This is not charity so don't believe their spiel. The only money that goes to the gov are the taxes they pay. They lie !
I am disgusted with the whole thing

Lotto becoming out of reach for Australians

I have been playing Lotto for about 23 years and have noticed that since Golden Casket ceased running it in Queensland as a seperate entity, that the chances of winning the major prize in each lotto has significantly reduced and the price of tickets has rocketed. Oz lotto was something like $6.40 for 12 games & was 6 numbers from 45 (Div 1), now it is $15.90 for 12 games & 7 numbers from 45 (Div 1).
Powerball was around the $6 mark for 12 games when it started and to win first division was 5 numbers from 40 numbers in the first box and 1 powerball from 20 numbers in the second. Today it is $14.50 for 12 games and you need 6 numbers from 45 and 1 powerball from 20 numbers.
Since ‘The Lott’ have taken over, the dream of winning 1st prize has become out of reach for the normal working Australian, they seem more focused on Oz & powerball Jack-potting to draw in customers. Gone are the days of playing 12 game quick picks for single or multiple lottos - you will go broke very quickly very quickly before winning a cent.
Set for life - look back through the results of this game & it speaks for itself. It is drawn every day and there are virtually no winners. Even Ned Kelly would be shocked at how this game is robbing people legally and getting away with it.
I have noticed the normal reply from the the Lott is about the chance of winning a prize has increased to 1 in 42 on a Saturday lotto. Save the spiel.
Can only suggest that people just play minimal games within their budget and succumb to the fact of winning 1st division is out of range for the average Australian.

Bad changes

I have been a Tattslotto customer for well over 40 years. In that time I have seen many changes made to the costs and Tattslotto dividends.
Up until now I have had no real complaints about changes that were made to the price increases and dividend changes.
I have never been a big gambler. I do my 12 lines every week and am also in a syndicate that costs me about $8 pw.
I have never had a big win and accept that the odds of winning a really big prize are extremely remote. That is why I never spend a lot on Tattslotto. Checking my tickets gives me a little something to look forward to on a Sunday morning.
I, and I know a lot of other people agree with me, am very disappointed with the latest changes. The cost has gone up, but the chances of winning have doubled you say. The chances of winning a sixth division prize have indeed gone up. But tell me how many people buy a ticket in the hope that they will win a prize that will be less than half of the cost of their ticket? Not me I can assure you. Winning a dividend of $7.50 feels more like an insult than a prize.
The division 1 prize has risen by 25% you say. So it should with the increase in the cost of a ticket.
The chances of winning any other prize division have barely altered and if anything the dividends are now less.
Please tell me how you expect anyone to think that they are now getting a better deal on Tattslotto than they were before the recent changes.
I am a great believer in the old adage, "If it 'aint broke, don't fix it."
Please change Tattslotto to how it was before these recent unnecessary changes.
If Tattslotto continues in its current form I shall seriously consider placing my money with an alternate form of gambling.

Saturday Lotto Price Rise Rip-Off

The Lotto is farcical now. The TAB turnover in Qld is down over $1Million each Saturday, which happened when the TAB's were closed because of COVID. So, the Saturday Lotto 1st prize was already just under $5Million. A System 12 ticket which used to cost $662.45 has now increased to $764.00 and out of that the agent gets $71.40. I've played the Lotto for over 40 years, but you have already stuffed up the Queensland TAB, not enough money going into the pools, even with supposedly added money from other places. Now you have stuffed up the Lotto, I've ripped all my tickets up. Whoever is running the show, needs to go back to the village, its missing its id...

After the Lotto reply, my response is this:
I'm not one of those mugs that pay $29.80 for a 36 game Jumbo entry and get 3 numbers which paid $7.85 and think I've won. I KNOW I would have LOST $21.95. The same stupid jargon about winning applies to scratch-it tickets, if you buy a $10 scratch-it and get $5.00 back, you HAVEN'T won $5.00, you have LOST $5.00. I call it PREDATORY MARKETING.

NO MENTION OF 18% PRICE RISE

I notice you fail to mention that tickets have gone up 18% in your reply to one review , i was told by my local lotto agent that a new prize is now for 3 straight numbers , hence the price rise , What they failed to mention was 2 supps and one number has now been removed , Im also so shocked at the lack of advertising about the new rules and the BIG PRICE RISE after 30 years im out

I was so appalled at the behaviour of the owner of the lotto place at Corio Village a little old very frail lady walked in with her oxygen mask and oxygen bottle with tubes up her nose no mask as she was excempt by her doctor,went to get served by the man,and all she wanted to no if her lotto was still going. He turned around and wouldn't serve her So he said" In a very rude voice I don't care if your excempted I'm not a medical practitioner and its for the safety of my staff So I'm not serving you! She would of been about 90
Bloody treating the elderly or anyone with a illness like this.
How the fk is she suppose wear a mask when its obvious she can't breath through one
He's got the worse customer service and just so abrupt to people!
The ladies are nice but I won't be going in there when he's in there thats for bloody sure!!!!

i have been purchasing the lotto for decades

i have been purchasing the lotto for decades . in that time i have had one reasonable win of approximately $400 in the 1990's. every year the price goes up as do the odds . the lott earns tens of millions of dollars in profits every year but that is not enough they want more. notice how the winners of big prizes used to be spread about and now a jackpot can sit for weeks without being won . its a scam and i will no longer support it .

Since 18 I've been playing this crap so…

Since 18 I've been playing this crap so 32 years, one win over 100 @ $120 all this time .. i believe it is rigged within reason .. I have spent $100 or just under per week for well over a decade..
So Today I go in and get a prize for 85 and 25 so I know I spend 96.70 per week and expect about 14 bucks back in change and was going to put that towards an in store syndicate ticket for 19.90 of Thursdays 20 Mill but she hands me 7 bucks back I try and work it out and ask if tickets gone up AGAIN ? She says YEP, about 10% especially saturdays and others too .. So to my absolute disgust I leave .. Lotto and especially the ''Family'' Tattersalls (should be ashamed) whom my Grandfather put me onto who would buy me tickets as a boy for my birthday for as long as I can remember with the bearded Tatts man on proper coloured ticjets which I have a couple of still from him and the Tatts man's face actually reminds me of my Grandfather..

We spoke to our loyal players about why they love playing Saturday Gold Lotto and what they would love to see more of. They told us: “More prizes, more winners and more reasons to play every week!”

Following a comprehensive review of Saturday Gold Lotto, a decision was made to enhance Saturday Gold Lotto and the features of the game that you, our customers enjoy most.
To support the increased Division 1 prize pool from $4 Million to $5 Million and to also improve the odds of winning any prize from 1 in 85 to 1 in 42 (based on playing 1 standard game) the price of playing your Saturday Lotto numbers will increase by 10 cents per game, per entry (plus agent’s commission).

It is disappointing to hear that you are not happy with the changes to Saturday Lotto. We strive to offer exciting and fun games that our customers love, and your feedback has been provided to the relevant teams.

I can’t verify my identity

I can’t verify my identity. I click on the button to verify and it says that my identity has been verified, but then when I go to withdraw funds it says I need to verify my identity. So I click on the button to verify and it says my identity has been verified, but then when I try to withdraw funds it says I need to verify my identity, and around and around we go. It never asks me for details, such as drivers license number or anything else. P.S they already have my bank details from when I deposited money - they were real efficient at that part of the process
