Interesting how quick The Lott is to accept your money and how difficult it is to withdraw winnings. An excellent incentive to leave the money with them and gamble it all away again. Am surprised it’s legal. Is it??

Get rid of div 6! - put the money into the other divisions. Run a work tatts syndicate and considering just stopping.
Obviously Tatts worked out that giving out small wins will have customers "re-investing" these small wins more often. Simple business. - but bugger the punters.
About 40%! of your prize pool goes to div 6.
Means 4 numbers for example gives you a poultry pay out - considering the odds.
Tatts were paying out that amount for 4 numbers 20 years ago.
And less than a grand for 5 numbers is also way too small.
Maybe others feel the same way.

Well, we'll let my stats speak for themselves as I keep a database of loss v wins on my lottery plays.
Since 2019 played every saturday night with 2 megas, total amount of wins 》only 2 at 8.90 per win.
I want to speculate given that the odds of winning the minimum amount is 53/1and just by the odds alone I should have won more,, that the fix is in with this lottery but just easier for me to stop playing.
My personal advice is go cautiously if playing this game.

I have played lotto most of my adult life and since S.A. Lotteries was sold off, so have the chances of winning. You accept our money but when it comes to our share of winnings it seems we lose out. Time and time again it is either Queensland, New south Wales or Victoria. I have tried to think that it only bad luck that I haven't had a decent win, even if it was a couple of hundred dollars, but no it the usual $8 out $9.
I think I might redirect my money into house and land Lotteries where they raise money for a good cause and not fill the coffers for private companies.

I keep getting the “Houston, we have a problem” message. This has only been happening for the last two days with no issues prior. I have deleted and reinstalled the app with no luck.

2 months ago I spoke to a real person asking when will notification of win emails, which state win amount , I was told Lotto is fixing but hasn't yet , site says enter the the 26 numbers on tickets . which is a pain and The Lotto is going backwards with technology if they cant fix . Dont try '' The chat line '' it is a robot which continually asks the same question and the asked to complete a unrelated form Very very bad service Kevin

Signed up for 2nd chance draw. Now can’t verify ID. The only option I have is Electoral Roll, which is useless as my details are unlisted. Other options not available. I’m not uploading personal documents via your ID document list.

I have been suspecting for a good while that people who win the lotto are being selected ( depend on the area they live ) its done for two reasons .ONE to pump up the resident to play more TWO create
new players in areas selected. The casino roulette number are all computerized so the HOUSE always win. So this tells you that ALL the numbers drawn daily are also computerized not random. NEVER believe that ANY gaming is honest. It cant be.

I am writing this in disgust with the most recent changes to Saturday night Xlotto. I have been playing for at least 21 years with mostly the same group of numbers as system entries. The first 12 years we had a single System 9 entry amongst about 10 staff where I worked. We never got anything major & won around 5 times a year recouping about half our investment winning up to division 4. The system was quite fair with the only grievance that you missed out whenever you got 4 numbers & a supp., as there was no category then or now. I don't think anyone would begrudge the fact that we lost half our money as we knew every week we were in it & had a chance to win the big one. Getting half our money back was a bonus but realistically was in the odds to be expected. After I left that workplace in 2013, I had a dilemma as to how to continue with the same group of numbers that in my mind were more "due" for a big win than they were in 2000. The compromise was that I started a System 8 on my own & retained all but one number. This was still fairly expensive at about $19.55/week but I don't gamble on anything else & firmly believed that the numbers were due. Things continued fairly well considering one less number makes a fairly big difference to the odds but mostly I had similar returns of about 50% for the next 8 or 9 years until the most recent dramatic change. I believed the hype in the advertising mainly about the odds being reduced to about 1 in 40 odd of winning a prize. I failed to look into the details about the changes to the lower divisions particularly 1 + 2 supps & 2 + 2 supps. As such I was tempted to double up on our investment when I asked my wife to pick 8 numbers of her own that weren't used by me. "BIG MISTAKE". After playing for nearly 6 months we are failing miserably having picked up one Div 6 prize of 10 X $7 or $8 & one recent Div 5 I will detail below. This used to be around $10 to $12 for the old Div 6 of 1 + 2 supps which is still 3 numbers the last time I counted them. On top of that, we have lost out a few times when we have actually got the lost categories of 1 or 2 + 2 supps. The last straw was 2 weeks back when my wife's entry struck 3 numbers + 2 supps. I thought 5 numbers out of 8 has got to be good. All we got with a System 8 entry was about $149! This would have been at least double under the old rules. This was the kind of " bread & butter" win that kept you going previously so that one day you might crack the big one. Now that appears to have gone in favour of more $20 mill. draws which are still next to impossible. As such, I cannot continue under these conditions & will have to consider going to Mon or Wed Xlotto that is still the old system. I am saddened to have been put in this position where I have shown loyalty for so many years only to have the goal posts changed dramatically. I feel that there has been no consideration for long term players particularly with the same set of numbers & have now been put in a position of giving them up. The sick feeling I have is that my numbers will come up the week that I am no longer in it. Additional info: Since writing the above & seeing the response from "TheLott", I have done some calculations for my scenario & found the following. In fairness to "TheLott", there is a small gain to Div 5 & also a good gain to Div 4 by virtue of an additional 16 X Div 6 prizes. The problems are any divisions that involve the 2 supps., such as 2+2 (no win) & 3+2 ( see my example above). It would be nice to be suitably rewarded for achieving 4 or 5 or more out of the 8 numbers drawn even if they include supps. Thank you for your acknowledgement.

This is the third time I’ve gone to buy a ticket, it’s asked me to deposit the funds and then it hasn’t purchased the ticket, only to find out when I go and check the results. Why is your app so trash? In this week the numbers that I play every week would’ve won Division 4 - not a huge amount but still enough to be annoyed about. Why do you make depositing the money and purchasing the ticket two different transactions? It seems like you’re purposefully doing it to avoid people actually buying tickets and winning.

Went on line trying to put in my normal weekly games. Can’t do due to some B/S re Saturday entries. I’m no where near a newsagent so can’t put my entries in. Well the Lott misses out on my $ this week. Why have the app.? Not everyone is a 14 year old kid .
The app is terrible, never had problems until I downloaded the new app two weeks ago..
If I turn wi-fi off I can login over 4G, I don't have this problem with any other app such as banking, government sites. Only the Lott. I wasted time resetting passwords, then decided to try it with wi-fi off. It worked, I then googled wifi and the Lott login issues and confirmed it's a problem with the Lott.

I have been using the Lott app for quite some time. Initially I nominated my debit card and was able to transfer funds with no problem. Then a couple of months ago even though my debit card details were there I couldn’t use it to deposit funds. I had to resubmit my card details as an ‘alternative’ card each time I played - very annoying. Then I could no longer use my nominated debit card at all. At the same time PayPal came up on the app as a way (the only way) of purchasing tickets. I have a PayPal account linked to my credit card but there is no way I was going to use this as the banks consider it as a cash withdrawal when used for gambling and hit you with their hefty fees. I tried to link my debit card to the PayPal account but it wasn’t accepted because they would only accept Visa.
I am left with a suspicion that customers are being ‘forced’ into using PayPal - not sure if there is collusion between the Lott and the banks/PayPal but certainly something isn’t right. It is totally wrong for the Lott to be offering only PayPal as a payment method and thereby allowing banks to gouge more money from vulnerable people.
I have deleted and re downloaded the app several times to see if it makes a difference - it doesn’t. I also had a lengthy discussion via your ‘help’ line - the person I spoke to was very unhelpful and told that the Lott was aware of a ‘problem’ but wouldn’t elaborate and directed me to the Lott web site.
If there is a problem (and there certainly appears to be one) I suggest you either fix or get rid of the app and let customers know about it instead of directing them down the pay pal path. I have reported this issue to the ACC and awaiting a response
