The response was quick, however, I don’t believe the quote is correct. The time period they predicted is inaccurate because I was a small child when my mom purchased this painting.

We respectfully point out our specialists have not mentioned having to touch the item in either of the reports completed for you.
Instead, both specialists have provided detailed descriptions of your items as their extensive experience and expertise means they do not have to touch, feel or scrape them in order to do so.
As per our response to your rude and offensive email, within which you referred to us as idiots, our specialist has determined from the images that your item is not authentic. They have also explained how much the piece would be worth, were it authentic.
Your assertion the item is authentic and worth more as it is dated from the 1970s is, I am afraid, entirely incorrect. This, again as per our email response, can be easily confirmed by reviewing CITES regulations online.
While we of course appreciate you are disappointed your items are not authentic or particularly valuable, sending us offensive emails and leaving negative reviews designed to damage our business will not change that.

The appraisal came back in a timely manner. I am left still wondering whether I have an accurate idea of the value of my items since there seems to be an ENORMOUS gap between the appraised value provided and the asking prices of these items online.

We provide auction estimates, which will always be significantly lower than private sales values, but can of course be far exceeded during the right sale on the right day.
Private online sales prices are not always reflective of accurate value as the seller can list the item at any price they wish. In addition offer prices do not always reflect actual sales prices.
If selling privately, we suggest using our suggested insurance value as a guideline.

They did not read the engraving…
They did not read the engraving properly, I was surprised that they did not understand a common abbreviation for a given name - thus the info they provided regarding the item wasn't as relevant as it could be. The response time was quick though.

Lazy and sloppy appraisal. They only care about grabbing your money.
"This decorative vase was in all probability made by one of the many porcelain factories in the Dresden region of Germany." Is this information from an expert? What a lazy and sloppy appraisal. They did not add any information that an absolute amateur could not for themself deduce. I will never use them again. What a waste of money. They don't care about their customers. They only care about grabbing your money.
Another problem I have with their service is that the report you pay for is evidently not kept confidential. They share private information from the report without your permission. This might be intended to have a chilling effect, I don't know.

As you can see, our specialist went to considerable trouble to fully describe the vase, as well as providing a valuation, as per our service.
With no maker's marks it is all but impossible to know where the vase was made. As our specialist has explained, it is highly unusual for such an item not to have any maker's mark, which may indicate it was not made by a known manufacturer.
While we are sorry you are disappointed with our appraisal, we would with respect point out your review is somewhat prejudicial.
Our specialist has used his many years experience of the market to provide a full and comprehensive report on an item with no identifying marks or provenance.
