Absolute scam just keep taking money and not been receiving anything, have requested to cancel several times and still taking money have had to ask my bank to stop payments.

This company has become a scam after the old version went to administration. They got bought out by a US records company. Changing the T&Cs to their favor, no customer can ever get refunded due to the "credit" feature.

Basically, no one can cancel if they have credit/scam charges on the account. During the relaunch, no emails sent. They just charge you.

New company representatives keep emailing us in response to our constant claims for our money that continent went under restructure with new management . Old company under vinyl box with company # 09291933 shows as dissolved April 2024 while new one named vinylbox holdings with company # 15366302 is active . If the new company is under new management why Oliver bello is same director in both companies ??

Appalling customer service. I was subscribed before the company got taken over and then resubscribed without permission. I’ve had no contact from them during this time. I only realised that they have been charging my credit card when I downloaded a statement earlier in the year. I emailed them to cancel back in June but they failed to do so. I contacted them for a refund and they have refused to return my money. I’ve tried to log into my account today to cancel future orders but I am locked out. This company is literally stealing people’s money.

Complete scam. I was given a voucher for £95 less than a year ago, that despite being in date they are refusing to honour. They said the company was bought over shortly after the voucher was bought, but didn't notify the person who bought the voucher or refund it. Absolute disgrace, literally just stolen money.

Same as everyone here. Money taken. No product received. Refusing to give refunds, and only given 'credits' to use in a store that they were supposed to launch in Spring. Have launched dispute claims with my bank to try and claw back any money.

I am in the same position as everyone else on this page that has commented in 2024. After the company went under, they initially contacted to say "wait to here more". First thing I heard was my card being charged. I did manage to get in touch at the time and they processed a refund. My account was paused until the next delivery window. That was in March/April, I heard nothing until I noticed in July they suddenly started charging my card again. Nothing has been delivered, I cannot got hold of customer services for a refund or explanation and I cannot log on to my account, nor recover password. Just no communications at all. This is clearly a scam.

SCAM DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR DETAILS. We’ve not had a delivery for months, but they keep charging and refuse to let us cancel. Even after saying it’s cancelled they continue to take more money. We have reported to the police.

Signed up for a 3 month subscription back end of 2023. Received nothing. Emails ignored, company disappeared. Resorted to a credit card charge back for refund. Now as a 'founder member' I have had the great pleasure of being charged £40 a month since the 'came back bigger and better' for nothing. Unable to log in to account, no replies to emails, resorted to another chargeback. Terrible service, terrible company, very dubious practices.

This company have continued to take payments despite my asking to cancel the subscription (+ confirmation from themselves). And now they will not respond to my emails. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. I have reported to the police and the ICO (for breach of information).

Many emails back and forth I did receive a box over 30 days after money was taken. The next box didn’t arrive apparently because the money wasn’t received so it never arrived. That was fine , couldn’t be bothered to complains about it. Assumed the money they had taken must be from August box. Then they took another payment so I emailed. They sorted it out and said I had two credits on my account so wouldn’t be taking money for the next two months sep/ October . Great. Aug box then arrived. It wasn’t anything near what I had chosen so emailed them to see what the problem was. I don’t like the records they sent and are not what I chose! I have not had a response and it’s been over a week and two emails. I have emailed them more than 15 times to sort the issues out since subscription since May. They are normally helpful and polite but radio silence it seems now.

Note that there are no good reviews of Vinylbox after August 2023- shortly after the company went under.

Vinylbox sounded like a great idea and I signed up in 2023. However, they went under, did not respond to emails and did not return my upfront subscription; I had to claim from my credit card provider.

Fast forward to August 2024, they have emailed about their new service which I ignored (definitely have not signed up) and have now taken a payment without my consent. Upon emailing them stating there’s been a mistake, I do not subscribe, and would like a refund, Vinylbox are refusing to provide one due to refunds being against their policies. Their recommendation was for me to contact my credit card company!

Shameful practices.

Seems like an absolute Joke or a scam. Payment suddenly taken after the reboot. No notification then a 2nd payment taken. No records received + can’t log into my account. Poor communication.
I wouldn’t touch them if you are thinking about it.

This seems like a scam - from previous reviews, it seems they've been taken over. LAst year things were fine, but I asked to cancel my subscription as I just wasn't using it much. They cancelled it, and then 6 months later randomly said they were relaunching and took £40 from my account. I told them to cancel my subscription again. That was in April - now I saw another £40 randomly got taken from my account today??

The whole thing feels a bit sketchy. I subscribed to the original Vinylsonic before they went bust. The new owners took over and it was all late deliveries and nothing seemed clear. When emailed they said that a box has been damaged in transit from the US so I wouldn't get a delivery. Amazing this happened twice. They still take payment even if you don't make a selection and it's your responsibility to notify them and get it as a credit on your account. Previously there was an option to skip if you didn't like the choices for a given month but no more. The choices weren't to my taste tbh and alot of records were warped.

I had received a voucher as a present and tried the service. I did not continue after the voucher expired as I found the website quite clunky and it was relatively expensive for the choice on offer.
Subsequently, I unsubscribed from their distribution list, but continued to receive emails. I sent an email to flag this problem and I was told that I had been removed from the distribution list. So unsubscribing online doesn't actually work. But I keep receiving unsolicited emails. This is still continuing and I have even had the same person confirming that they have removed my twice from the distribution list.

After a poor service with the original owners of Vinylbox , I decided to give the 'new' owners a second chance - however history seems to be repeating itself, I suspect the owners are the same! Received a poor service last month, with no communication regarding shipping issues until I complained, I requested to cancel. Received an email asking me to stay and then money was taken from my account anyway.
Took a gamble and picked a new box (the had my money anyway) and have now waited weeks for delivery with no notification of dispatch. Emailed to chase, no response. Requested charge back from bank as they are obviously ignoring my emails.
The idea is brilliant, the execution is shocking

Feeling very frustrated about this company now, started off ok last year but now they have been taken over boxes take forever to come and records missing out of what it was supposed to contain. No way of contacting them only through an email which they seem to ignore and won't accept I want to cancel my subscription.

SCAM...!!!!!! do not ever subscribe to this awful company. You cannot talk to a 'real' person all communication is scripted. Took money from my account even when I cancelled. They are still emailing me now after contacting them several times to close down my account. They are still emailing me saying they are having trouble taking payment AFTER I cancelled my subscription which they acknowledged. Total Scam operation. Records are not worth the value they say they are either.

Similar to others’ experiences, this company won’t remove me from their mailing list, are unresponsive to emails - and the products they sell look relatively poor compared to others.
