I would not recommend this company!

Although they were able to provide a cleaner at short notice for a deep clean of a large residential property, the overall experience was extremely disappointing and fell well below expectations.

The cleaner arrived late without any communication or courtesy call to explain the delay. Even more concerning, after entering the property, she covered the home’s security cameras. When questioned, she claimed it was accidental, but the CCTV footage appeared to show that the cameras were deliberately covered. This immediately raised serious concerns about professionalism and trust.

One of the most upsetting aspects of the experience was discovering that my Bible had been thrown into the bin without my knowledge or consent. Regardless of whether this was intentional or accidental, I found it highly disrespectful and completely unacceptable. Personal belongings, particularly items of religious significance, should always be treated with care and respect.

Before the appointment, the company advised that the allotted time might not be enough to clean the entire property thoroughly, so we agreed to prioritise key areas, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. Despite this, these rooms were left in an unacceptable condition. There were still crumbs on the floor, skirting boards had not been cleaned, surfaces were not cleaned properly, a bucket of dirty water was left behind, and there was an unpleasant lingering smell after the cleaner had left. Overall, the cleaning lacked attention to detail and did not meet the standard expected from a professional deep-cleaning service.

My dealings with Ally were equally disappointing. Rather than handling my concerns professionally, I found her communication to be dismissive, rude, and unhelpful. My concerns about the quality of the cleaning and the cleaner’s conduct were not addressed appropriately, and there appeared to be little accountability or willingness to resolve the issues. Instead of acknowledging my concerns or offering a meaningful resolution, I was left feeling that my complaint was not taken seriously.

The standard of cleaning fell well below what was advertised and expected. Combined with the cleaner’s poor attention to detail, the handling of my personal belongings, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service, this experience caused unnecessary stress and disappointment. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again or recommend their services to others.

Great service from Mark to arrange a deep clean of my apartment. Booking process was smooth and Kalina was very professional and did a fantastic job. Would definitely recommend this company!

Alex at Well Polished in Lancaster has been really helpful getting me set up with a regular cleaner, excellent communication and clear cost guidelines. Had my first clean yesterday and had an unprompted compliment from my friend in the evening saying the bathroom had never been so clean. Well-polished were able to provide a cleaner on short notice to tackle the deep-clean of a large residential property. Overall they did an adequate job, however the cleaner was quite unprofessional in her conduct. She did not arrive at the agreed time and did not get in touch to communicate her delay. After entering, she covered up security cameras in the home and claimed this was accidental, however the footage shows that she acted deliberately.

The company advised that the timeframe selected might not be sufficient to cover all areas adequately, and so we agreed to prioritise certain rooms such as the kitchen and the bathroom. However, these rooms were not cleaned to a high standard. Crumbs were left on the floor, the skirting boards were not cleaned, and a bucket of dirty water was left behind, as well as a lingering odour.

Overall, the cleaner brought up the standard of the property, but the lack of professionalism caused some serious headaches on our side and we were disappointed that the final result was not better.

We've just had our first clean with Well Polished and we were very pleasantly surprised at the amount of work completed in the 3 hours and the finish was very thorough thanks to Evilene and Alice for Coordinating. Arrival was reliably prompt and i valued the cleaning tips she had to offer to help us. Thanks again and i look forward to our next clean!

Jacqueline was our point of contact and she was efficient, friendly and helpful. We appreciated the continuity of the same cleaner each week. Cheryl, our cleaner was friendly, trustworthy and punctual.

Fantastic cleaner but Annie is the most unprofessional person I have ever come acrossin the service industry.

After cancelling my agreement, Annie continued to take subscription payments despite being informed that the service had been cancelled. When I raised this issue, she repeatedly assured me that a refund would be processed. However, despite numerous promises that the money would be sent “today”, no refund has been received.

This matter has now been ongoing for over a month. During this time, I have had to repeatedly chase for updates and payment, only to be met with further excuses and assurances that the refund is imminent. Each promised payment date has passed without any action being taken.

I find this behaviour wholly unacceptable. Customers should not have to spend weeks pursuing money that is rightfully owed to them, particularly when the company has acknowledged that a refund is due. The continued delays, lack of communication, and failure to honour repeated promises demonstrate a serious lack of professionalism and customer care.

I look forward to receiving my owed money asap.

I definitely would not recommend this agency based on our latest experience. While the cleaner we had was fairly decent and willing to accommodate with different dates when she was not able to attend on regular cleaning, the management's contact was entirely unacceptable and deeply unprofessional.

When our cleaner communicated that she could not come as scheduled for a particular week, she offered two alternative dates which we could not accommodate - a Sunday and a Bank holiday Monday. Rather than addressing the issue constructively, communication from the agency was confrontational, dismissive and unnecessarily accusatory. I was effectively blamed for being unable to accommodate the only dates offered, was not offered a substitute cleaner, and was spoken to in a manner wholly inappropriate for any professional service provider.

As a result we terminated our cooperation with immediate effect and would not consider their services again.

If considering this agency, make sure to read all one star reviews first and definitely do not commit to a standing order payment before the course of the month and before you get to assess the level of service.

Contacted WP to book a deep clean, and they were very communicative and attentive until the point where I had paid their £60 admin fee to confirm a clean.

They indicated that a deep clean based on the photos I provided would take 8 hours, which I was more than happy with. On the day of the cleaner's visit it only took 4 hours, including 45 minutes to kindly go to the supermarket and fetch cleaning products as it wasn't made clear that we needed to provide them.

Several areas were missed, including under the sofa, skirting boards, dusting in corners, shelves above eye height, inside cupboards, and cupboard exteriors. We contacted WP to confirm whether these should have been included in a deep clean, and they provided a checklist of what can be expected in a surface clean and a deep clean - which would have been useful to have before the clean.

I requested a refund of the £60 admin fee, as I wasn't satisfied that they had fulfilled their administrative tasks (communicating with the cleaner that we wanted a deep clean, providing transparent information on what to expect from the service) and started receiving phonecalls from the founder offering to "rectify" the situation by booking another cleaner, for which WP would receive another admin fee. The founder refused to accept any responsibility or accountability, and went on to incinuate I was lying about the experience and that the photos I'd taken after the clean "might have been mixed up" with photos from before the clean took place.

At this point I've spent £160 for a 4-hour surface clean that doesn't even meet Well Polished's own surface clean checklist, and they only seem interested in protecting the admin fee they've charged, and being able to charge more for subsequent bookings.

Our cleaner is fantastic . We have had cleaners before and she is by far the best. Well Polished have been great and would recommend them as a company

Chantelle is an excellent and thorough cleaner. Well Polished renders an outstanding service just like I've always wished for when looking for someone coming to clean my house.

The cleaners supplied by Well Polished have done a thorough job consistantly. They have always been punctual and where I have needed to vary schedule this has been accomodated. Unlike some agencies, its always the same cleaner who attends and absences or switches are discussed and agreed in advance. Well Polished (Hannah) is a pleasure to deal with.
