Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs. I would give zero stars if I could. They provided a virtual assistant who could not perform any task that we assigned. They used Al and could not follow instructions even with clear SOPs. We had a trial plan in which we used half of the hours. We asked for our money back and they declined, then said we cannot even use our remaining hours because they closed our account.

They promise a lot, but if you need someone who is able to do anything except for maybe pretend to be an incompetent bot (in which case get a bot) they are unable to deliver... their sales person did try to help to get a full refund, or at least he said he was... the reality: the firm spent more time than woodbows delivered and we paid for it... horrible experience.

Abysmal VA Services: Trust, Timeliness, and Data Breach Issues

Signed up with Woodbows in October 2024 right after I incorporated my company. As I had an aggressive launch plan, I needed a virtual assistant to assist with doing research and obtain quotes from suppliers for packaging materials. After 2 days with my 1st assistant, it was very clear that he was incapable of doing what I need. They promptly replaced that with another assistant who at the beginning seems to get it and eventually over time, it just showed time and again, simple instructions were not being followed:

1. Repeatedly Missing deadlines
2. Logging all supplier contacts on a spreadsheet
3. Entering supplier information into spreadsheet
4. Researching suitable suppliers that met the requirements that were specified clearly at the start

The straw that broke the camel's back is when I fired the company, the assistant attempted to forward all business emails to her Woodbows account, breaching the NDA that we signed.

After agreeing with the Woodbows Client Success team and making multiple attempts to get my money back, they went cold on the thread, even claiming their finance team was off for New Year's. It's already February 2025 as I am writing this. I have numerous receipts to proof this.

I do not recommend this company even to my worst enemies (if I had any).

Will tell you what you want to hear to get your money

We were promised an experienced VA in the Customer service space, specifically for phone and email, someone who can take orders. They promised 6-10 years experience in the space. The first VA would barely speak and was a disaster on the phones during training. We talked to the supervisor and the VA was replaced. The second VA didn't show for training and did not respond three days, at this point we contacted the supervisor again. They offered a 3rd VA when we decided a refund was more appropriate. We were promised a refund and have not received it a month later. UPDATE - After retaining a lawyer we have received a refund.

Awful experience, horrible company

I originally went with this company because Forbes had said they had an excellent client retention rate- something like 98%. After my experience, and reading so many other one star reviews here, I believe this Forbes article must be fraudulent. My VA did very poor work, and Woodbows took far too long to try and replace them. Wood bows would not give me a refund, even though they guaranteed me in writing that they would. Be wary of a company that does not allow people to leave reviews on their own site. If you still do not believe me, please do yourself a favour and just sign up with them on a monthly basis. They will try to offer you a big discount for paying for a full years worth up front, don’t fall for it.

I have had the pleasure of working with Praveena from WoodBows on a number of occasions, and I have been consistently impressed with her work. She is a highly skilled and experienced professional who is always attentive to detail, communicative, and thorough.

I first worked with Praveena when she was hired to help me with a marketing campaign for my company. She was tasked with developing a new website and creating a social media strategy. Praveena quickly grasped my vision for the project and went above and beyond to deliver a product that exceeded my expectations. She was always available to answer my questions and make sure that I was happy with her work.

I was so impressed with Praveena's work on the marketing campaign that I hired her again to help me with a new project. This time, she was tasked with developing a new training program for our employees. Praveena again exceeded my expectations, and the training program was a huge success. She was able to create a program that was both engaging and informative, and the feedback from our employees was overwhelmingly positive.

I have no doubt that Praveena would be an asset to any team. She is a hard worker, a team player, and a true professional. I highly recommend her for any position.

Special Requests

I don't think I am the average businessperson that uses the services of a company like woodbows. I am a teacher and my needs include developing instructional tools like videos. Given the state of education today, all instructional devices must be engaging and have the ability to hold the attention of young people. So my requests were special. But Woodbows rose to the occasion. We had to do several edits due to cultural adjustments, but I believe they were all learning opportunities. The Woodbows VAs (Angel and Sonu) were willing to learn and were eager to work with me to get the work "just right". When my task list gets overwhelmed again, I will not even hesitate to call woodbows for assistance and pray that Angel gets assigned to me again.

I recently had the opportunity to work with the Woodbows VA team, and I was blown away by their professionalism and attention to detail. Monica and Vidhya were incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in their respective areas of expertise, and they always went above and beyond to make sure our project was completed to the highest possible standard.

Woodbows VA designed a website for me

Believe the low ratings and stay far away!

This company presents itself as being able to provide highly skilled offshore virtual assistants. What it appears to be is a high-volume, dishonest company that charges a handsome amount (which I don't mind for people to receive a living wage) but either has incompetent and/or overworked staff that cannot perform basic duties. In one month, I went through two VA's that could not perform basic tasks such as setting up an outlook appointment properly or organizing a Zoom meeting. Most of the work I asked for was not done, it was to the point that on two occasions I paid a student to clear a backlog from this company. I asked for clarity about how they bill multiple times and never received a clear answer. Though I was complaining about the lack of work being done since the first week of having the service, I have email chains, WhatsApp threads, and recorded conversations to back up my claims, which I also filed on the BBB. The company leadership TOLD me they would give me a pro rated refund as through I quit the service mid-way (confirmed via a blurry "screenshot" suggesting they paid anything back) and then stopped returning emails when I asked for an explanation. They boast a full money back guarantee and customer satisfaction, but similar to other complaints here, none of this is taking place. Per their guarantee and my evidence that I did not receive anything approaching service from this company, I should have received a full refund, full transparency about their billing practices, and confirmation of cancellation of their service.

I wrote them multiple emails after their answer here and haven’t received any response, again. They are scammers, don’t use their services. Trust the amount of bad reviews that they constantly try to overpower with fake reviews

I HAD High Hopes

I had high hopes for the VA services as it was very highly rated. However, I didn't have a good customer service experience. Even though I uploaded my tasks to Click Up, their communication platform, no one saw the tasks for two weeks. After a reached out to ask what happened, they said, "oh, sorry."

They also kept switching VA, so I would have to re-enter all of my security codes for my social media (I have two-factor security set up). This would take a lot of extra time from my day to ensure they could access everything. Why am I paying someone if I have to keep granting access?? They could never get my TikTok to work.

I was immediately contacted on the two-month date about continuing payment even after the two-week delay. After I said no thank you to renewal, I thought they would reach out to ask why. Not a peep. I wouldn't recommend it since they made no effort to compensate me for the lost two weeks or changing VAs regularly, causing a lot of extra work on my part.

service was one of my worst experiences to date across the board with any company regarding the customer experience. I searched for a reputable company for VAs. And found Woodbows. I had what I thought was a very transparent and well received initial conversation with Immanuel. I shared what my needs were. I shared my knowledge level with technology. I shared my availability and expectations. I was assured the company would match me on each area of need. None of this happened.

I do believe the technical specialist was very knowledgeable and an expert in his field but he was controlled by the Sales manager. Communication was non existent and my availability was completely ignored. I still work 12 hours shifts and the only time communication took place was during my very busy work day. I was told we’d used the communication method most comfortable for me and although eventually this was attempted to some degree, the communication never rose to a level of true effectiveness.

Regarding the work that was completely I have no absolute proof to prove this work was done or if it actually took the amount of time as reported. I made this statement because I strongly believe they take more time than needed to cause you to purchase more time to complete the projects. I was told initially multiple people will work the projects simultaneously and this was not done at all initially.

I actually could have let this all go and there is so much more I could share. The most disturbing was at the very end of the initial purchased time the technician made a major change that completely deleted a platform that was functioning well and building traction that I paid another freelancer to build. I truly believe this was done to force me to purchase more time. I addressed this concern multiple to only be ignored.

So ultimately I’m left with a closed site that was open prior to Woodbows. And Woodbows refusing to at minimum return half of what I paid to compensate for the damage caused to my company.

I cannot imagine treating any customs under any circumstances they way I was treated. Because this company has some of the best technical employees is perhaps the reason the reviews are good. The customer service I received does not match the great reviews I saw prior to working with this company. After my experience I found one review from a customer with a similar experience to mine.

VAs are virtual assistants. My expectation was for an actual assistant, that was being paid to assist me with projects needed for my company. Today VAs have no concern for the customers time or the customers company. I expressed past experiences with VAs and was assured Woodbows understood the needs of the customer. Integrity is not a strong suit for this company.

I normally do not write reviews because a company’s reputation should speak for itself and this is my first negative review because I do not see the value in writing a negative review. I chose to write this because I truly believe Woodbows knew what they were doing and this company never had any intentions on helping me move my company forward. They saw an opportunity to take advantage of a person at a novice level when it comes to some technologies and they seized the opportunity. Shame on you guys. Some people still believe in professionalism and common trust.

Do better.

Please please avoid this company!!!

Please please avoid this company. They are the worst people ever. Not even able to communicate properly with you to organise a simple zoom meeting. Not able to understand your time zone. Very poor communication and there was no update on the tasks we asked them to complete. They avoided giving us a simple answer and made us wait for them in the zoom meeting room a number of times. I don't even know why they exist. We have asked for a refund and they have of course disappeared and didn't even have the courtesy to apologise to us for their lack of professionalism. We are totally disgusted by them and we wish we had never crossed paths with them.

Honest review and experience

Well, I originally believed that Woodbows was a decent company. I was a customer for well over four months. The assistant I was working with was not very competent but still got things done, so I was content.

But slowly, the work rate dropped to almost zero, and the hours kept going up. I started getting charged 30 hours for a single spreadsheet. I requested they stop my subscription. Nothing happened, and I kept getting charged, so after 300 dollars wasted, I put a hold on my card. Like others have pointed out, the manager was Rabinesh Chand.

Then, my assistant called me one day, crying. She said she was cut off from the company with no explanation.

Truly a horrible company. They have paid for good reviews from bloggers, but I haven't met anyone who hasn't lost money using them.
