We nipped in to Earls park, Holmewood and met Tasha with her huge smile and infectious laugh! Wow what an amazing lady, straight away made us feel relaxed and welcome! Gave some amazing advice about my situation and affordability, she gave me the details for James Leighton and spoke very highly of them. She encouraged me to try, even though I knew I was looking for a shared ownship schemes. She was not wrong and although my affordability didnt work out for a property at Earls park they have helped me with a mortgage in principle for a shared ownership! So thank you again to Tash, you are an absolute creddit to Avant! Lots of laughter from Lucy and Sandy

Megan could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and the houses are beautiful and well-designed. Tranent is not top of our list as a venue, but Thistle Meadows remains on our list.

I've read some of the 1 star reviews, and I get it - not every house has the best initial quality but no more or less than any other builder.
What I would say is they have an amazing team to put things right when there's an issue. Andy Jones & Paul Weatherston specifically are the nicest, most efficient of the team and do a fantastic job every time, no matter what the issue! They are great at looking at the issue with you, then showing you exactly what they did once things are sorted (always to a high standard in my opinion ).
Yes, sometimes you have to wait for Avant to book them (or others) in to get things sorted, but (so far) they've put everything right - or at least that's been my experience! This is my 4th new build, 3rd builder and I think Avant have done better than the others.
I do agree with the lower reviews that the sales process is hit or miss, depending on who's in the office, FAR more training is needed for these staff please!!

We met with Abbie when visiting greene lock place as first time buyers and no idea on what to do or where to start, Abbie welcomed in and gave us a run down in so much detail and helped us understand how to start the process, from the start up to us picking out our choices Abbie gave us so much information and support and was so easy to talk to and very knowledgeable! We can’t thank her enough for everything

We have owned 2 Avant homes over the last 7 years and have had many experiences in resolving snagging issues. Alan & Jim have worked on both homes and have completed all jobs to a very high standard. They are professional and respectful to our home at all times and are a real credit to Avant. We’ve had an overall positive experience with customer services led by Amanda. We had a member of the Avant Shelton Homes team round our house on Friday 20th March his name was Dave Mc. He was a carpenter who was boxing in the top of our boiler where the flue and other pipes were exposed and it didn’t look very nice in the kitchen. He did a fantastic job it looks great. He was very polite, chatty and friendly. Thank you 😊

Having a few teething problems but Andy Jones has been brilliant at fixing them. If you have issues with your new home and are local enough to Fife, ask for Andy.

These reviews are mainly from people reviewing the buying process - obviously they will do everything right at that stage! We bought a 5 year old Avant home 5 years ago and I would NEVER buy one again, old or new. Literally dangerous. Boiler installed wrongly, dangerous do not use notice put on it after 6 years. Wrong connectors used on water pipes causing slow leak into kitchen over a long time. Cooker broke and when we went to buy a new one the electrician said the hard wiring was done completely wrong and was dangerous and we are very lucky it didn't cause a fire (wrong voltage and fuse) - in a house with young children. Garden constantly flooded as no proper drainage and turf laid on old bricks and rubbish from building the house. House definitely was not insulated properly. No idea why house building is so unregulated the standards are appalling. The house at the bottom of our estates garden collapsed into the nearby burn. I could go on but would be here all day. EDIT: they respond asking for details as if they are going to help somehow, I didn't even buy the property from them and can see elsewhere they do this to look good publicly then don't get in touch. Absolute cowboys wouldn't have anything to do with them.
