These reviews are mainly from people reviewing the buying process - obviously they will do everything right at that stage! We bought a 5 year old Avant home 5 years ago and I would NEVER buy one again, old or new. Literally dangerous. Boiler installed wrongly, dangerous do not use notice put on it after 6 years. Wrong connectors used on water pipes causing slow leak into kitchen over a long time. Cooker broke and when we went to buy a new one the electrician said the hard wiring was done completely wrong and was dangerous and we are very lucky it didn't cause a fire (wrong voltage and fuse) - in a house with young children. Garden constantly flooded as no proper drainage and turf laid on old bricks and rubbish from building the house. House definitely was not insulated properly. No idea why house building is so unregulated the standards are appalling. The house at the bottom of our estates garden collapsed into the nearby burn. I could go on but would be here all day. EDIT: they respond asking for details as if they are going to help somehow, I didn't even buy the property from them and can see elsewhere they do this to look good publicly then don't get in touch. Absolute cowboys wouldn't have anything to do with them.

Excellent
We recently had a viewing at Altofts Acres with Katie.
Katie was extremely welcoming and friendly, not only did she help with our questions and understanding of the property she even helped suggest a great place for us to eat lunch at afterwards and explore the area!
We have decided to move forward with a property at Altofts and Katie has already been excellent with this process, from answering any questions promptly, to helping guide us with the process as we are first-time buyers.

The standard of new builds are better…
The standard of new builds are better than many builders but unfortunately things change down the line. They put in to my home a high end bathroom and en-suite upstairs by the company Vado but, simply having a shower break has resulted in my full plumbing needing changed along with walls, ceilings and floors being ripped apart. They need to go with easily repairable fixtures and fittings from a company with good quality customer service and not with fancy, good looking fittings that are not repairable. I am now out of pocket countless thousands just to fix a shower!
Shocking build and company.
If I could give Avant zero stars, I would. Never in my life have I met a bunch of people so incapable of doing their job. The 5 star ratings for Avant are almost exclusively from people who have only dealt with the initial sales team and haven’t yet moved into their home or had to deal with aftercare.
We have been in our new build for a year and it’s been nothing but excuse after excuse, constantly having to chase up the same issues over and over again, only for them to try and avoid accountability. I have wasted so much of my time and annual leave from work trying to get things resolved in the house, only for contractors to either not turn up or tell us that “it’s a matter of opinion” when their work hasn’t been done properly. To then have to waste more time having the same job booked back in again to get it completed. The quality of the build and finish is horrendous and the aftercare is horrendous. I know our neighbours are in the same boat and I would avoid Avant at all costs in the future.

New build purchase
We are currently in the process of waiting for the completion of our new build at Sorby Park development. Olivia has been keeping us updated regularly via email with the progress on the house which is exciting and helpful. Olivia has been warm and welcoming throughout and we have appreciated her timely responses and support so far. Thankyou Olivia for making what can be a stressful time feel smooth and contained.
We hope completion and onward will continue to meet these standards.

Andy Jones - Best Customer Service
We've been in an Avant Home since it was built in 2020, and have had a number of snagging issues as you expect. While we have had our complaints about some elements of the care, attention and response times from others in the company, Andy Jones has been a constant star since he first helped us a few years back. If we have a job and Andy is assigned, we know it will be done properly, and with a smile on his face. He's always polite and cheery, thoroughly investigates what the issue might be, and explains it plain and simply so we can understand what's wrong and what needs fixed, then goes above and beyond to get it resolved - even if it means multiple visits. He'll always follow up too, popping in after the fix the next time he is in the area to make sure all is still ok and there are no issues. It's this kind of service that makes him a stand out technician. I really hope the company make sure he is recognised!

Fab team at Highstonehall
The sales rep Jenn Jaime was fabulous, she was probably part of the reason I chose this home instead of another developers, Once in, Martin the site manager had someone at my door in 10 mins when I realised my dishwasher hasn’t been connected to the power supply, nothing was a problem for them

We moved in to our new 4 bedroom house…
We moved in to our new 4 bedroom house a few weeks ago now and we are so delighted with the house and it’s surroundings. Also, all the fixtures and fittings have been completed to a very high standard and anything we have encountered Avant have been very prompt to rectify it. Additionally, the site manager and Jenn from the Avant site team have been excellent and provided a great service prior to moving in and also after moving in. I can only give Avant and its team the highest of praise and find them to be approachable with any queries that we have had. Our house is spacious and we have plenty of parking available and very quiet surroundings. We look forward to the adjacent park opening up once construction is complete, thus that will be an extended nice space for walking and visually looking at. Excellent standard all round. 🙂🙂🙂😃😃

The dream team!
My partner and I visited Earl’s Park on a one-off to explore future options for homes. The support and guidance we received from Tashana and Louise from the get go has been nothing short of perfection. These two lovely ladies have made an incredibly daunting process go so smoothly, and they have always been ready to answer any of our questions. We have now reserved our new home, and we cannot wait to celebrate with the two of them upon completion! A big thank you to the dream team!

First come second served
We spent nearly 3 hours on site, discussing options for personalisation and agreed we would call in the morning the following day to arrange to reserve. Within an hour of us leaving, the house was booked in for a meeting to be reserved by someone else - despite us being told that no one else was proceedable and we would be fine to wait until the morning.
The site apparently has a first come first served policy and so we weren't able to reserve in the morning, despite being there first and the reservation meeting not being scheduled until the afternoon. We also offered more money to get it over the line but apparently ethics dictate that having a meeting booked overrules common sense.
Terrible service and a terrible waste of our time. Had we known that having a meeting booked in essentially equals the property is reserved we would have arranged this before we left.

Friendly and professional service
I bought my house with Keiran at Hackett Grange, the process was very smooth and Keiran kept me up to date throughout, and answered queries promptly. What can be a stressful and complicated process was made much easier. The after sales care with Tracy and Matt the deputy site manager has also been excellent. Everyone is friendly and easy to deal with.

We went to the Altofts Avant homes site and Katie was so lovely and very helpful and informative even though we just called on the off chance, she is an absolute credit to Avant homes sales department and we will liaise with her if we proceed with a purchase of a new home.

Bought a new home in Monkswood, Telford from Avant. Judith in sales has been amazing from the first initial conversation to now where the home is almost nearing completion. Ian the site manager is more than welcoming to us as we had a lot of questions and going in depth with what’s been done and how things will be on completion day. Can’t thank them enough. Also to add, all the tradies who have worked on our home already have been exceptional and the eye for detail over the whole property so far is top class. Great team throughout!

I had the most amazing house viewing today in East Kilbride! I’m honestly 200% impressed 😍
The lady who showed us around was incredible — so knowledgeable, patient, and genuine. She explained everything clearly and honestly, and I felt really supported the whole time.
I’m so grateful for this experience and can’t wait to learn more about mortgages. Truly an exceptional person and service — highly recommend!
