Another great delivery 🚚
We have used bakerdays for some time as we love the fact we can personalise our treats for the occasion! Chocolate is my favourite so I ordered again and it was yummy and the design as I ordered.
DPD delivery is always great, our local driver is great and I like the fact I get a delivery window and can track him!
I think you get a full, positive experience built around you rather than just any off the shelf options!

From my experience would highly recommend.

I needed a cake quite quickly and found this company online. They had a wonderful selection of customisable cakes so I decided to order. I was not disappointed. Cake was exactly as pictured, was delivered when stated it would be and everyone at the party agreed it was delicious. Thank you for an excellent service.

I ordered a cake in Sept 2025 for my grandson's 3rd birthday in November and it never arrived, I was supposed to receive a delivery confirmation before 11am on day of delivery..nothing.. waited in all day, planned his 3rd birthday party around their delivery advice..9am to 6pm.. 6.30pm nothing, so dissatisfied... awful company

Extremely Disappointed Experience – Poor Quality Cake, no balloons and ongoing Refund issue

I wanted a joint birthday cake to celebrate my son’s 18th and his grandad’s 80th. After reading many positive reviews about Bakerdays, I decided to order a personalised marble gift set cake.

Unfortunately, the entire experience was incredibly disappointing.
* The cake arrived the morning of the party — a day later than requested due to a courier mix-up
* The balloons I ordered have never arrived.
* Poor quality cake decoration.
* The “blue marble” design didn’t cover the whole cake
* Poor quality personalised photo.
* The Bakerdays cake was dry
* Resembled nothing like a homemade or premium product.

To say I was upset is an understatement. Instead of enjoying the morning preparing for the party, I ended up rushing to Asda to buy a replacement personalised cake. Despite being a simple white cake, Asda’s version was far superior in both appearance and taste.

I contacted the company immediately to express my disappointment. They offered to send a replacement, but since the party had already passed, that offer wasn’t useful.

After several emails back and forth, I was promised a full refund within 10–20 business days. It has now been 28 business days, and I’ve received no refund — and my follow-up emails are being completely ignored.

“Extremely disappointed” doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel. The lack of communication and failure to issue my promised refund has been the final insult. I truly hope that posting this review prompts someone at Bakerdays to finally resolve refund issue promptly and contact me.

Tiny cake ….

Placed an order for a cake to serve 18 to 25 people for £50 for my mum‘s 80th birthday cake three weeks in advance. No email confirmation other than PayPal. Chased up the day before. they sent a tracking link. They did reply and say it was on track. was so disappointed when it arrived. It was tiny. 22 cm wide. emailed them and they said it was the right one. I believe it feeds 8 to 10 people maximum. Nowhere near 25. Misleading in my opinion.

I ordered a caramel bento cake when it came it was nothing like the picture advertised. My son (autistic) picked this cake for his birthday and was so disappointed with what came. I paid £20 for this it looked like a donut which had been sat on.

Awful avoid at all costs

Awful avoid at all costs
I ordered a cake for my wife’s 40TH birthday party and paid an extra £12:50 for a delivery slot
When the delivery arrived they waited for less than a minute and took the cake before I had a chance to get to the door and did not come back again with the cake.
I was promised a refund after they ruined the whole party and 7 weeks later STILL NO REFUND

Paid 13gbp for a baloon and it was delivered half deflated. Called to ask for a new one, they said they cant deliver. Said they would check if I can get a refund or a credit score, and never called back.

I ordered for my little brothers…

I ordered for my little brothers birthday on Saturday, it said it was delivered nothing at the front door, and just today i get another knock and it’s the cake, then i was like is this some sort of joke? proceed to open the box and the cake is half. not there. Ruined my brothers birthday. They tried offering me store credit?No refund and then proceed to give me store credit?? why would i want to use them again after such an experience 😭😭

Wouldn't even give a 1 star

I wouldn’t even give this company one star. I placed an order and never received an acknowledgment email, so I called to check. After reading the many negative reviews online, I decided to request a refund. I was assured it would be processed by the end of the day and that I’d receive an email confirmation — but no email ever came. When I called the next day, I was told I’d get a call back in 10 minutes, which never happened. Upon calling again, I was informed it could take up to 20 business days to receive my refund once its been processed but as you can see by other reviews people are still waiting after a month. Extremely disappointing experience — I’d strongly advise avoiding this company.

Excellent celebration cakes.

We have had two cakes this year. One for a retirement and one for my husbands 80th birthday. Both have been excellent both in appearance and in taste. The pictures are exactly as the pictures online. Would highly recommend.

Halloween brownies

The only scary thing about these Halloween brownies is how quickly they disappear! They taste delicious, not too sweet so one or two....or three is an absolute treat The mallow webbing is a nice little added touch, along with the icing spider. The one thing that made these even better was heating them up slightly, enhancing the flavour more. I need more now! 🕷🕸

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if you want your cake for a certain date

As a celebration cake company, one would assume that delivering the cake on the arranged day was a pretty crucial part of the proposition. Apparently not. I ordered a cake for a 30th birthday party. On the day the delivery was due (for a party that evening), I phoned the company as I had not received notifcation of a delivery time. No answer so I left a message asking for a response but no-one called me back. I called 5 times back-to-back until someone answered. Joy (how ironic) checked the order and told me that the order didn't look like it had arrived with the courier so I wouldn't get it that day. The day of the party. With people all turning up at my house. I was simply offered a cancellation and refund. Spoilt the whole suprise. Beyond disappointed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT YOUR CAKE TO TURN UP ON THE RIGHT DAY!

Liars and thieves

I ordered a personalised cake for my son’s 10th birthday. It never arrived. I had to buy an emergency cake on the day from the supermarket instead. I was promised a refund but two months later am still waiting for the money. I spoke to someone on the phone (once) back in July who assured me a refund would be on its way. I’ve since chased up the outstanding refund numerous times by emailing the sales email address they recommend on their website. I received a response two weeks ago from someone telling me that he would chase up the amount with the finance team. Then never heard back from him. I’m beginning to wonder if there even is a finance team. Now all emails and phone calls go unanswered. The disappointment on my son’s 10th birthday was one thing, but now this is a matter of principle and a legal matter. They’ve taken money for a service they didn’t provide and refuse to return my money.

STILL no refund

Despite my previous review regarding a refund I am still waiting for, I have still not received this. Bakerdays replied to my review asking me to contact them and they would review my refund as a priority. Since my last email I haven’t even had a reply. This really sums it all up. I have now opened a dispute with my card company. A refund offered on 5 August and still not received is totally unacceptable

Ordered a 90th Birthday cake in June…

Ordered a 90th Birthday cake in June 25. didn't arrive on time, when it did arrive it was of poor quality.
As compensation and for me to remove my negative review they offered a complementary cake for a date of my choice. This was confirmed in an email. The date confirmed came and went with no cake.

I ordered 2 cakes for family members…

I ordered 2 cakes for family members for their August Birthday. Unfortunately 1 arrived damaged. I emailed straight away with photos. There was no issue at all. Another cake would be sent out the next day. Duly the new cake arrived before 11am, in tacked. Lovely to deal with, anyone can make a mistake, but how it’s resolved makes all the difference
