As for the uplift... unfortunately we can't do much about the fact that the summit drop off is at the top of the mountain and the visitor centre is at the bottom! 😂
We absolutely understand that riding in a group can sometimes mean fewer laps than you'd manage riding solo, especially when lunch stops, uplift queues, café visits and regrouping are involved. The good news is that it sounds like you'll just have to keep coming back for the laps you missed 👊😎

Terry's Belly is a classic favourite, although we can certainly appreciate your point about the extra pedal back towards the visitor centre afterwards.

The beauty of having such a large trail network is that we can offer lots of different trail experiences and destinations across the mountain, although it does occasionally mean a little extra effort between runs.

We understand the wish for a little extra riding time before returning hire equipment. The workshop team need enough time after returns to inspect, maintain and prepare bikes for the next day's riders, which is why hire bikes are returned before the end of park operations.

We're sorry to hear this visit didn't feel as positive as your previous experiences.

As the park continues to grow in popularity there are certainly days where demand is higher than others, and we appreciate that longer uplift queues can impact the overall experience. We also operate a large fleet of uplift vehicles in a particularly demanding environment, and from time to time mechanical issues do occur. When they do, buses may need to come off the hill for repairs or to be swapped out for another vehicle, which can temporarily affect uplift capacity while we maintain a safe and reliable service.

In terms of protective equipment, we strongly encourage riders to wear appropriate safety gear and provide guidance on recommended protection. Ultimately, however, the decision on what protection to wear rests with the rider or parent/guardian. Whilst some riders choose minimal protection, we'd always recommend more rather than less. Mountain biking is an inherently risky sport and, as most riders know, crashes can happen and they can hurt. Full-face helmets, knee pads and other protective equipment can make a significant difference when things don't go to plan.

We're also sorry to hear the chicken burger didn't hit the mark for you. We'll pass that feedback on to the catering team.

Whilst we're disappointed to hear this experience wasn't what you've come to expect from BPW, we do appreciate the honest feedback and hope we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back again soon.

One of the things we love most about BPW is seeing riders of different abilities enjoy the mountain together, and it's great to hear the blues kept you both smiling.

We're sorry that the bike issue took longer to resolve than you would have liked. Whilst swapping a bike can sometimes be the quickest solution, it isn't always possible depending on fleet availability, sizing requirements and the nature of the fault. In many cases, a repair can actually get a rider back on the hill faster than preparing and setting up a replacement bike.

That said, we completely understand that any time spent waiting on a mechanical issue is frustrating when you've come to maximise your riding time.

Hi,
We're sorry to hear you're disappointed.

However, we'd like to clarify that the refund fee you've been charged was not related to a closure of the park or any decision made by BikePark Wales regarding your booking date.

At the time you requested your refund, your booking was for a future date and no decision had been made to close the park on that day. As a result, your request was processed as a standard customer cancellation and the normal booking Terms & Conditions applied, including the applicable refund fee.

For clarity, if we ever have to close the park due to circumstances such as extreme weather, wildfire risk or other safety concerns, we contact all affected customers directly. In those situations, customers are offered options which typically include a full refund or a voucher for a future visit, as the closure is initiated by us rather than the customer.

Safety will always be our priority, and we would never open the park if we believed conditions presented an unacceptable risk to riders, staff or the surrounding environment.

In this instance, the decision to cancel was made before any decision regarding your booking date had been taken. Unfortunately, by requesting a refund in advance, the booking fell under our standard cancellation policy rather than any closure policy which may or may not have become relevant at a later date.

We're sorry you're unhappy with the outcome, but we hope this helps explain why the refund was processed as it was.
