Delivery service is good. Quality is great. Customer service is excellent.

Ordered two pieces, one of which wasn't great quality. Emailed them and they replied in minutes. A replacement arrived the next day, no arguing - excellent. I just found my permanent wood supplier!

Customer service were very helpful before I placed the order, the goods came quickly and were very well protected so arrived in perfect condition. Would not hesitate to use again.

High quality very easy to deal with good communication. I was in no rush so I can’t comment on the lead times.

I first made an enquiry and sent pictures of our buttermilk coloured kitchen asking if the oak skirting would be a suitable replacement for our cupboard kickboards. We already have a lovely tall oak pantry cupboard and I thought oak kickboards would be nice instead of the awful cream coloured coated chipboard ones we have. I quickly received an email back saying that they thought the oak would be a warm and nice addition and was sent a sample in the post.
We were very happy with the sample so after measuring I then emailed because we required one length to be a different height. Again received a quick response so placed an order for the square edged oak because we wanted it for kickboards otherwise we’d have liked a rounded edge like the sample. Order was delivered probably just over a week (bearing in mind I told them we’d be away for 2 days plus the bank holiday and we had the oak oiled). We’re happy with the quality of the oak and all aspects of communication and delivery. Just got to cut and fit it now.

Very good quality timber, quick and prompt service / delivery

Usual top experience with British Hardwoods. The timber is high quality and free of significant defects. The timber is cut with high accuracy and consistency, thus avoiding unnecessary extra preparation work. The delivery was made by DX Freight, who provided dead accurate tracking and even rang to confirm the expected delivery time when they were 10 minutes away. The 2-man team placed the timber exactly where we wanted it. All done by 08:30am! Excellence in every way. We have traded before and will do so again. 5 stars*****

Excellent quality oak strip wood for edging cabinets. Beautiful quality European oak, cut to own exact dimensions and at a very reasonable price. I’ve had 2 deliveries so far and will be ordering more!

I ordered some ash and oak, specifically asking for wider pieces, and boy did I get that! One piece of ash was 350mm wide 52mm thick and 3m long. The oak was real random live edge pieces, but without calculating what I got, I would say I received a lot more wood than I ordered. Delivery was quicker than expected too. All in all I am more than pleased with my first British Hardwoods experience

First/class product and service from the Company. I’d previously purchased a job lot of band sawn un oiled flooring which was great. This time I ordered the pre-oiled flooring and it is exceptional and is the highlight of my project. Next year I’ll order more of this to complete the house. The lads that laid the floors commented about the outstanding quality and ease of cutting; the finish is simply top class. I highly recommend this company, delivery and communication was spot on.

I'm trying to produce a reproduction late 14th Century medieval chest. I found that screws were not used widely at that time, so these nails were the only option. The delivery was very prompt, as were all stages of the purchase. The nails are extremely well made and look truly authentic. They will be perfect for my project.

These folks have again delivered exactly as requested - ordered 3x cubic feet of ash and needed specific grain orientation and grading, and got exactly what I needed. Ordering wood online for specific purposes is often risky but they've hit it every time!

A great company to deal with. They were quick and efficient and went the extra mile to ensure we had what we were looking for. We were kept us up to date throughout the process and the Oak is top quality.

So incredibly please with the timber I received. It was 3 times cheaper than my local supplier and the delivery was a third of the price of my previous online supplier.

Timber was beautifully planed, free of defects and dead flat.
