Oshawa Carpet One Floor & Home 

I would strongly caution others before using Oshawa Carpet One.

We hired them to complete flooring and baseboard work in our home. During the installation, one of their workers drove a nail into a plumbing pipe behind the wall. The plumbing had been installed to code. The damage was not discovered immediately, and months later the punctured pipe resulted in a significant leak into our basement, requiring drywall removal and plumbing repairs.

When we contacted Oshawa Carpet One, rather than taking responsibility for the damage caused during their installation, they relied on a clause in the paperwork we had signed and stated that they were not liable.

What made the experience even more disappointing was their response to my Google review. They publicly replied asking me to contact the store manager to discuss the situation. However, I had already contacted the store manager directly before posting the review and received no meaningful resolution. I had even attached that email correspondence to document that I had already attempted to resolve the matter privately.

Responding publicly by directing a customer back to management may give the impression that the company is trying to address the complaint, but in our case, that avenue had already been tried without success.

We hired professional installers with the reasonable expectation that work would be completed carefully and that, if their work caused damage to our home, the company would stand behind it. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Based on both the damage itself and the way our concerns were handled afterward, I would not recommend Oshawa Carpet One.

I highly recommend them. From the start, their customer service was friendly and efficient. They came out to measure and bring carpet samples, and the installation was completed just a few days later. They’re professional, knowledgeable, and offer great guidance without being pushy. The quality of service and products is top notch, and I'll definitely be returning for future projects!

We absolutely love our hardwood from Carpet One! Our consultant, Chelsea McDonnell, was very informative, patient and great with following up with any of our questions and concerns. We chose the Northside Hickory in Anglefire. Initially it was hard to determine the wood from the small sample so Chelsea ordered a larger piece for us and we absolutely fell in love with it! Our installer, John Gray, was wonderful and paid attention to every little detail. We couldn’t be happier with our floors and it has completely changed the look of our home. Thank you to the Carpet One team!

Our first time dealing with this company. I can’t say enough good things about them. They have friendly efficient customer service. Samantha was at our house soon after we were in the shop, to measure the rooms and with carpet samples. Returned again in the afternoon with more samples. Carpet was installed a few days after. Very impressed with the service. Beats dealing with the big box stores. We would use them again!

From start to finish, Carpet One was excellent with customer service, product knowledge and installation.
Chelsea allowed us to take several samples of carpet home with us for a few days so that we could see how the lighting in our home would affect these samples at different times of day.
She came out twice and measured before installation. She also followed up with us after installation. The installer was also professional and personable.

Carpet One was a great place all around to shop for flooring. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. Our salesman Will was a great guy. Not once did we ever feel pressured into anything. Tony the installer knew what he was doing and did it very quickly with no mess left behind. Would definitely would shop there again.
