Brilliant website when urgently needed…
Brilliant website when urgently needed to view my credit report. Checkmyfile covers all three main UK Credit Report Agencies in one place and the site was really easy to navigate showing my credit score and a very detailed list of my spending.
They provided excellent support and assistance with raising a dispute when someone had fraudulently used my name to obtain credit. I received extremely helpful advice & regular communications from Checkmyfile to help resolve the situation. Once everything was fixed on my credit report it was a massive weight off my mind.

Very quick and simple!
This is by far the simplest and clearest credit rating system I've used - it is remarkably quick to generate the report I neeeded, download and send to my financier. Can't praise enough!

Avoid! (hidden charges and poor customer service)
I had a very poor experience with Checkmyfile.
I was not made clearly aware that I would be charged £15 per month or that a subscription had started. I also did not receive any clear email notification or reminder making it obvious that I was subscribed and would be charged.
In my view, this is very poor practice. Customers should be clearly told when a paid subscription begins, how much it will cost, and when money will be taken.
I would not recommend this company and would advise others to be very careful before signing up.

We understand that an ongoing subscription isn’t the right fit for everyone, so we allow our customers to have complete control of their subscription, and cancellations can be made at any time with no restrictions or minimum terms.
We aim to be transparent about our subscription. Details of the monthly payment and the option to cancel at any time are outlined throughout the sign-up process - on our homepage, during registration, and then confirmed in the welcome email. We understand this may not suit everyone, and your feedback is genuinely helpful.

Calmly & Professionally solved a difficult problem.
I had been facing a frustrating issue with my Checkmyfile account because I was unable to change my email address and was not receiving the OTP on the required email account. After contacting customer support, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly and professionally they responded.
The support team promptly requested the necessary details and kept me informed throughout the process. After a few email exchanges, Danny A and Amy carefully investigated the issue, identified the root cause, and resolved it efficiently.
Their patience, professionalism, and commitment to helping customers were truly outstanding. What seemed like a complicated problem was handled smoothly and with great attention to detail. Thanks to their expertise, my issue was completely resolved, and I can now access and manage my account without any problems.

Untrustworthy in practice
Required to use this service as part of a process with another organisation. With no alert or reminders from checkmyfile about the subscription being activated by way of payment as other reviewers have mentioned, I was charged £15. I cancelled immediately, and offered a £5 ‘goodwill’ refund when I enquired, for a subscription that I’m not using. Would not recommend to anyone. Highly disappointed. Please be aware.
