Treated As A Valued Customer

Every time I visit David Clulow in Bluewater, I am treated as a valued customer, and I am given the time and attention that my query or visit requires.

I travel quite some distance to have my appointments, but they are worth it. I live in Sutton.

Die Sprachbarriere ist extrem schwierig zu bewältigen, man verständigt sich mit Händen und Füßen gerade eben so, am Telefon z.T. gar nicht.

Über die Leistung kann ich noch nichts endgültiges sagen, wir befinden uns gerade in der Nachbesserung, die ersten Gläser haben 2 Wochen gebraucht, die haben nicht funktioniert, jetzt sind weitere zwei Wochen um und wir warten noch.
Ziemlich unseriös finde ich btw die Praxis, einfach ungefragt zwei "Brillenreinigungssets" im Wert von 50ct einzupacken und dafür je 19,90€(!) abzurechnen.

Berlin KaDeWe:

The language barrier is extremely difficult to overcome; we barely manage to communicate with gestures, and sometimes not at all on the phone.

I can't say anything definitive about the service yet, as we're currently dealing with a follow-up issue. The first lenses took two weeks to arrive, and they didn't work. Now another two weeks have passed, and we're still waiting.

By the way, I find it quite unprofessional to simply include two "glasses cleaning kits" worth 50 cents each without asking and charge €19.90 for each!

I was not advised that the frames I…

I was not advised that the frame I selected is unsuitable for my prescription lenses. I paid £700 for a pair of my glasses, yet the lenses are significantly thicker than those I previously purchased from Specsavers. I was sold the most expensive package, which included a free replacement guarantee; however, the store refused to offer a replacement before I had the opportunity to properly try the glasses at home. The thickness and weight of the lenses are causing headaches and discomfort.

Additionally, my mother’s single-vision glasses are still not ready, despite us both having our prescriptions issued on the same day. We have received no explanation for the delay nor any apology.

We are extremely disappointed with the service provided by David Clulow and hope this matter can be resolved promptly. Failing that, we will seek a refund and consider pursuing further action if necessary.

Awful service

Really expensive and really bad service. Failed to advise me that the frames I had chosen were inappropriate for the lenses. Measured my eyes wrongly. Got annoyed when I pointed out the problems. Charged me extra to revert to an original pair of lenses. Told me this was the last change they would make - despite the changes all being their fault!!! After 2 months I still don’t have a satisfactory pair of glasses. Probably will be asking for a full refund. Avoid!!!

Amazing

Amazing, I had multivocal contacts from Specsavers that did not work and there was no effort from the optician to try a different strength or something so I ended up still needing reading glasses 🙈
I made an appointment here and within an hour I walked out with a trial pair of contacts and I do not need reading glasses anymore what a relief

It was a great experience I mentioned…

It was a great experience I mentioned to the team on arrival that I have generalised anxiety and health anxiety disorders which always makes these things harder than for a normal person. They were great at dealing with me fully explaining everything in the process. The purchasing of new glasses was very good - the collection not so. I was told that they would be in within a fortnight and I’d get a telephone call - over a fortnight no call so popped into branch and they said oh they will be in on the next day. The actual picking up was excellent and treated really well - just a bit better communication if there are delays in receiving would be great - not even a call just a quick email would do.

Great Experience, will revisit.

I chose David Clulow opticians within John Lewis, Leeds because David Clulow are an opticians that have Chanel frames. They didn’t have the exact ones I was after.
After a lot of communication with Chi at this branch, I’ll eventually get the glasses with the frames I like & suit even though they had to be specially ordered from Italy. The optician was in my personal superb. Best eyesight test I’ve had in years. The thing I valued most was the TIME & explanation. It maybe a 195 mile round trip for me but worth it. I hope my new glasses work for me.

Excellent service and great advice

Felt I had a personal shopper with Chi at the Leeds John Lewis store. The optometrist was simply first class. Spent more than 45 minutes with me, and gave me lots of excellent advice. Looking forward to collecting my 2 new sets of glasses. Previously been a customer at both Bluewater and Selfridges London stores before moving back to north yorkshire
