I feel comfortable going with Douglas Allen Estate Agents, they really made my moving house so easy.
More grease to their elbow!

My partner and I have been looking for a property to rent in London. We came across a property that we were really interested however it took a long time for us to hear a feedback from the Landlord and thought we wouldnt be getting the property. We were surprised when we received a call from them updating us and recommending another property that is to our liking. We didnt expect for them to be very proactive, helpful and really good communicators. We appreciate there help so much. We then have an interest to another property and went through the referencing process. We thought it was really tedious process but they were very supportive. When we had some questions they were really quick to pick up the phone and help us with our queries especially Jodie. She was a very lovely person. We then had to back out in renting the property due to some personal reasons. When we explained to them they were very understanding. They still supported us and continued to be good communicators. Over all our experience to the team was very pleasant. Kuddos to Jodie, Joana and Luisa who were very helpful and are very lovely people.

Jodie, Joanna have been very lovely and helpful and the team is very amazing and efficient. Though we were not able to continue with our transfer, they were very kind, understanding and just such respectful to how they take care of people. Many thanks to their team and keep up the amazing work that you do.

I have had my house up for sale for 7 weeks, they have sent 1 person to my house, they have made me sign an agreement which I wasn't told once signed for 20 weeks, most are 12 weeks!!!!!!! and thats sole agreement, which means you cant go with anyone else, They don't update you every week, its myself that calls them for an update, ive said that i want the agreement released, they have said no and no one else can do different to what they are doing, if i knew it was a 20 week agreement i would never had signed it, im so no happy as they wont let me go multi!!!! DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY, GO WITH HAART

I have used the Hornchurch branch of Douglas Allen estate agent recently. I have found staff generally friendly and willing to help, understanding ahead potential problems and difficulties a buyer may have. Each step of the process was recorded so that both them and I knew what was going on all the time. Despite the obvious stresses that one experiences in buying a new place, the atmosphere at the branch was generally relaxed but always involved and the work got done at a steady pace.
Unfortunately I was not so happy with the mortgage adviser Samuel. He suggested a very expensive mortgage package and it took me less than half an hour in the internet to find a mortgage lender at a quarter of the cost. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise I was very happy with staff, communication and support at the Hornchurch branch, particularly Jayden, Chelsey and David. Thank you!

Wow - first time buying a home and it was a very calm, easy and straightforward process. Caroline S at the Basildon branch was very welcoming, professional and understanding from the very first moment and helped me. 100% service from Caroline and the staff at Basildon and Billericay Douglas Allen branches. Would avoid at all costs. Over price your house then encourage you to drop the price after a week when it has no interest.
Constantly say they’re emailing and calling potential buyers, when the website statistics say different. Everything is done at a snails pace. After we switched estate agents they left the house up for sale in the window for 3 weeks even though we weren’t selling with them anymore… that’s how absent minded they are. If you want a stress free and smooth sale go with Temme English. If you want to sell your house for £20k less than it’s worth go with Alex at Douglas Allen.

The whole team at Douglas Allen Chingford were great. And special thanks go to Natasha Tomlins, our sale progressor. She was relentlessly persistent, keeping the conversation going between solictors and every conversation was noted, so that we always knew what the nest step was. Highly Recommended!!

We used Barkingside Douglas Allen to find our home. Rumel Miah was the estate agent that helped us. He is absolutely fantastic at his job. We gave him an extremley specific criteria for the house we were looking for. He always kept our criteria in mind when supporting us with our search. He was easy to reach and always made time for us and listened to our concerns. I highly recommend his services and will definately be utilising Rumel's services again.

Very happy with the service provided. Special mention for Chelsea at Hornchurch branch who kept us up to date weekly and speedily answered any queries.

I had a very bad experience with Douglas Allen Loughton Branch. They showed me a property which I liked. So I made an offer. Since then they tried to fix me with their financial advisor which I was not interested. As soon as I refused to go along with their appointment they telephoned to say that the house had been sold. That was not true as I checked online that the house is still available for sale. They kept telling me that my offer was too low۰They tried to put me through they are on advisory/Solicitor to push me increase my offer.I found them very unprofessional and very uncaring.

I cant recommend Andy Seymour from the Wickford Branch enough! We used Andy as our mortgage advisor, he was professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He answered every query we had in record timing, got us the mortgage we needed and provided us with the confidence we needed to get our first home. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us! You have been awesome!

Terrible service from the Ilford branch. Arranged a viewing. No one was at the premises. Followed up with the agent. Didn’t come back to us or followed up the following days. They shouldn’t be classified as Estate Agents but a bunch of clowns.

Incompetent!
The sale of my property was poorly handled from the moment I recieved an offer. The managing director of the branch was extremely unpleasant to deal with and a bully. The sales progressor had no idea what was going on at any stage of the transaction regularly giving me wrong information. There was no duty of care for my best interests. Avoid them at all costs.

I was the executor for my parents house in Loughton compounded by the fact That I lived a considerable distance away (400 miles). As a consequence I had to put a lot of trust in Douglas Allen in ensuring a smooth sale.

I was very pleased with the service provided by Luke and Ella, they were forward leaning and anticipated problems before they arose and dealt with them. I was confident that they had their 'fingers on the pulse' and they kept me in the loop.

The whole process was not as stressful as I expected and I have no hesitation in recommending Douglas Allen to others. I am very grateful for the service provided. Many thanks to Luke and Ella.

I was disappointed
"I was disappointed with the services provided . There were several instances where I had to follow up multiple times to get a response, and the agent seemed to lack knowledge about the properties they were showing. In addition, there were several mistakes in the paperwork that caused delays in the process. I would suggest that improve communication and attention to detail to provide a better experience for your clients."

Kim, who is the Agent we are dealing with from Douglas Allen is a delightful, kind, honest and informative representative for her company. She listens and is not pushy as some Estate Agents are, which is completely off putting. She is trying hard to accommodate my needs in a search for the right property and I have faith in her succeeding in doing so.

First experience with Douglas Allen, all went well. The star of the show was Natasha Senior Sales Progressor. Unfortunately my solicitors were poor so without her push and been on the ball I would still be waiting! So thanks a million.
She has a very Friendly and professional manner.
