I’ve used Fabricland a lot over the years and never had a problem that a lot of reviews state. The shop in Salisbury was brilliant until high rates forced it to close, so I’ve shopped online with virtually next day delivery that’s a good service, yes postage rates are high but balancing out the cost of fabric compared to other sites it’s nearly the same. The fabric is of good quality no worse than anywhere else. I’ve been sewing for 45 years and am a trained industrial machinist so I know my fabrics.

I have ordered from this shop two times now and they were very nice to work with especially considering the current covid situation! Worker was very polite when I asked if she could find out when my order would be dispatched. Only thing I would say is that there faux fur has a wired texture to it and is not very durable.

I rarely have experienced such poor business practices and customer service. Join the 21st century and put SKU’s on you stock so you can keep track of it. Your staff may also consider calling customers back. This is supposed to be a business.....where you provide a product and service..... not some tinder date you ghost. As a designer, I specify a lot of fabric and I will do everything in my power to avoid this company in the future.

Amazing fabric prices and quality. I asked to have a fabric added to my order and they were so helpful. Quick delivery considering they must be deluged with orders at the moment. Really pleased with everything. Thank you Fabric Land!

I did receive everything I ordered correctly however this wasn’t the issue. My order hasn’t arrived by the time they said it would (including with the delays due to coronavirus) so just sent an email asking if they could give me an update on my order. I got a really rude email back in mostly CAPITAL LETTERS saying ‘UNLIKE MOST PRODUCTS THAT JUST GET TAKEN OFF A SHELF, PEOPLE HAVE TO CUT THIS FOR YOU. SO THIS TAKES TIME.’ And ‘ We have had a great deal of problems with elastic, so we decided to send none, but people complained, we held the order up for new stock arriving, but people complained, we send a slightly bigger size as it is all we have and they complain… e sent without elastic and more complained….so sorry we cannot do right. But we are doing our best. This is the new normal apparently. ??? NATALIE.’ I understand that they may be having issues and complaints but I never complained so I do see why I should receive a rude email back after just asking for an update on my order. I’ll be shopping somewhere else in the future.

More and more fabrics in Bournemouth store have ‘fabric unknown’ written on the label. I find this unacceptable, Fabricland must be importing the cheapest rubbish they can buy. Quite honestly, their fabric has always been poor quality (but ok for fancy dress stuff) but I wouldn’t buy any of it now. Not worth the effort of making something with poor materials. Best to pay more elsewhere and get decent quality. I prefer to travel to Livingstones in Bridport - their fabric selection is superb and excellent quality and service. Lots of online suppliers too! Forget about Fabricland!

Sometimes it's when things go awry that you see good customer service. I ordered 12m material and some bits & pieces from Fabric Land. Delivery was very fast but the material was not what I ordered. Absolutely no quibbling from the company, quick as a flash they corrected the error, sent me the right order. I can also keep the first batch (better than all the wasted energy & cost of a return) so that will now be used by the local children's playgroup. Would not hesitate to use them again as I now know what they're like when a mistake is made (and we're all human after all)!

Worst location Dufferin and Steels, Toronto. It happens that the managers are very rude and always protect hardly working personal that are lazy and not helpful at all. The prices are too high, selection is poor. During the COVID they hired a security Indian woman that assaults the customers starting the fight and pushing them from already empty store!!!!! Fabric Land becomes the SHAME of the city!!!

I sewed professionally for 40 years and got my first Fabricland membership card 37 years ago. I've probably spent close to $100,000 there. So, last week I lost my card, which had 3 months left before expiry date. Apparently I now have to buy a new one. I complained via email and was told they'd generously let me buy a new one for only $20. Which is exactly what I pay annually at the seniors' rate. The next closest fabric store is 45 minutes away but, so what. A customer since 1983, but I'm done with this outfit.

Good service and received fabric with ease. Collected in store on expected delivery date and got a great price!

Only slight downside was I didn't get a notification when the Fabric was delivered into the store, I had to call.

Their website has blocked me because apparently I was 'requesting a file that doesn't exist' too many times, even though all I did was add things to my basket.
Guess they don't want money. *shrugs*

Placed an order late yesterday morning, got home from my night shift this morning and half an hour later my fabric was with me! Fantastic service, brilliant quality fabrics, can’t wait to get sewing with them

The lady behind the till today has to go down in history as the most unhelpful person ever, just could not be bothered to help AVOID, left without purchasing anything

Ordered on Bank Holiday Sunday.
Arrived on Thursday, all nicely rolled up and just what I wanted.

I'd forgotten what it felt like to get everything I've ordered, so thanks to all at Fabricland.

Was not impressed I completely understand it was my fault but I rushed out earlier and forgot my face mask and hadn’t realised until I got down there all I needed was ribbon for my daughters hair which was 28p maybe which I had the right money of I just explained at the door and I said could I just ask here all I need is hair ribbon and the lady got all funny and said how do you pay then the till is there. I’m not being funny but all she had to do is take my 30p and grab me some ribbon the till isn’t to far away surely. Now I have to go back tomorrow 🙄 I will be shopping online from now on. It was in the Bournemouth store. I Work in retail my self and didn’t think that was a big deal I was stood outside by the door.

Hugely dissatisfied. Called to check fabric suitability and required length and was ill advised . Was not informed about delay in receiving order took over a week when they stated 2-3 days. Extortionate postage and left with 4.5 m of fabric not fit for purpose. Not open to return, as they’d be left with a remnant. Albeit a large one !
Shoddy operation to be avoided at all costs.

HORRIBLE company! avoid at all cost!
I've placed an order online and after one week of not hearing anything back (no email, nothing), I called them and was told that the payment hadn't one through.
Well, for starters, the account was in the black (I had just ordered on Amazon with no problems) and there shouldn't have any reason for this. Anyways, the woman on the line told me that she could take my card details and type them in manually and so she did after I supplied her with them. Another 4 days of hearing nothing from these jokers and I called again....guess what? "The payment hasn't gone through"....sure, I belief everything you miserable amateurs tell me (again, the account is in the black and again, as we all do at the moment I guess, I had ordered from Amazon just prior to that).
These people aren't capable to conduct business and this first attempt to order from them is my last.
