We checked reviews first before buying GoInsurance and were very happy to read the broad range. We went with the Elite package as we are also hiring a motorhome for our trip. However, I was not happy with the extra amount being charged for my health declaration, considering my health issues have been resolved, it seemed insane to charge that much extra for it.

I forgot to mention that I am also lactose intolerant among my health issues, in my initial purchase of a policy and for that, the cost of my new policy increased by 50%.
I did not accept that quote and went elsewhere.

When a medical assessment is updated, we’re required to reassess the policy based on the traveller’s full medical profile. Customers aren’t able to choose which medical conditions are declared, as full disclosure is essential to ensure cover is valid.
In your case, the original policy was cancelled within the cooling-off period after the updated assessment, and no revised premium was applied. We understand that revised terms don’t suit everyone, and cancelling within cooling-off is always an option.
