Rhino Greenhouses Avis 

On the positive side the quality of the materials used for my 8 x 10 premium greenhouse is for the most part very good. However there are a number of problems people should be aware of before spending a great deal of money on this product. The instructions could be better thought out in places and in the end some of it will come down to trial and error, for instance the basket rails are totally unclear. Some of the design is very cramped and unless your base is absolutely 100% you may have a number of problems with construction. Overall I do like the greenhouse as it is a solid construction however customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I would recommend especially when glazing to make a video record of what you are doing. While my granddaughter was holding a large sheet of the glass it literally exploded showering her and others around her with glass pieces. It was resting on a soft surface with no movement when it went. I phoned customer service who made a half hearted apology but refused to replace the glass and kept quoting company policy. My granddaughter had glass pieces stuck in her clothes and hair and was extremely lucky not to get any in her eyes. My daughter was not happy with me basically being called a liar so she also phoned customer service. As I am both elderly and disabled I tend to avoid drama and conflict. My daughter was told that this was not acceptable and that someone would call her back, we are still waiting weeks later. If you want one of their recommended companies to construct it for you the waiting list is months long. Cannot in all conscience recommend this company.

I'm so confused by this company... terrible response time, terrible customer service. They don't really want to do anything, if you ask a question they reply with generic literature. If you ask for a local recommendation to install the greenhouse, they say "I don't know". If you ask for delivery windows they say 8-14 weeks - but are unwilling to go the extra step to say, let me check in with the logistics team to give you a better estimate. WHY IS THERE SALES TEAM if all they do is read back the website to you? Im seriously on the verge of cancelling this order....

Absolutely first class. From ordering our greenhouse to the final product.
Delivery timescale was good and the guy delivering was friendly and very helpful.
I cannot speak too highly of the quality and sturdiness of the greenhouse - I have never seen one more solid.
Instructions are second to none - clear, well laid out and lots of good advice.
A word of warning, it may be worth paying to have this assembled as the tolerances are so tight that there is literally NO margin for error - it simply has to be built right.

Ordered an Elite greenhouse through them , when I chased them they said - "talk to Elite yourself" Quote on the order was 20 weeks and that's 30 weeks ago and I have heard absolutely nothing from them at any point. They have had my money since then and haven't passed it on to Elite - process to cancel the order has started .... I appreciate in current times and with high order volumes these things are going to take longer but at no point has anyone contacted me - just terrible customer service.

Decided to erect my 8 x 16 greenhouse myself, and because of lockdown and shielding restrictions ended up doing the whole thing on my own. I wouldn't recommend trying this unless there is no other way. Fortunately the build went perfectly. Had there been issues ill fitting components the job could have been a nightmare. As it was everything fitted just right. The only slightly negative comment I must make though is I just wish I had known there were a good handful of spare nuts and bolts in the bag, that would have taken so much anxiety out of the build.

Quality of greenhouse is excellent, instructions are good and detailed, but at times could be a little clearer. Not easy for a one person to install, as they say. But very sound and looks great. Telephone and email assistance is first class.

I was missing two panes, and unfortunately I broke one large pane, my fault. I rang up Wednesday, despatched all three the same day and received today Friday, no quibble or questioning, but to my surprise did not charge me!

I wanted a quality greenhouse and that’s exactly what I received. Plans not easy to understand but the backup from them is superb. I spoke with a lady named Tracey and she talked me through things on the phone and sent me useful photos

Run a mile, unless you want a company director screaming at you. Only wanted to find out when the greenhouse is coming- staff are terrible and lazy never call back and all they say is how "busy" they are. Lame Excuses. If they are so big and busy, why only 10 reviews, my guess is because only 10 people work there and all the reviews are by staff! - run a Mile

Excellent from start to finish, professional company, delivered on date as promised, really helpful delivery driver, installer also 1st class and product is superb, would not hesitate to recommend an excellent company, service and greenhouse. WELL DONE

Our 32 year old Alton greenhouse owed us no favours after many years of faithful service but was on it's last legs. We're in our seventies and need a simple maintenance and hassle free replacement so decided to go for metal instead of wood. After a great deal of research, including reading the " Which " report , we felt that the Rhino range was best suited to our requirements and ordered the 12 by 9 foot Ultimate. We have no regrets whatsoever. The quality is superb and the design is excellent and, although a bit on the expensive side compared with some others, we feel is great value for money. The 25 year warranty is re-assuring and we know we have made the right decision. Well done, Rhino - 100%.

Where to start ... all good!
The web site is OK, though I suspect there may be more extras than the ones shown.
Placing an order was easy, and the delivery time is really quite good at about 6+ weeks.
It was no trouble to add a couple of bits to my order and the email response was fast and helpful.
I chose to have it installed which was absolutely the right decision. The guy who installed it was very quiet but very efficient! 12 x 8 with two tier staging and automatic vents erected in 8 hours. It would have taken me weeks!
I think it is a very good solid (modular) design and it really does look like it will outlive its 25 year guarantee.
Quality and intallation at very reasonable cost, so the boss and I are very happy!

Bit of a hot and cold company - some things very good - some things not as good as you'd hope. The key things - Product quality (most of it), customer service and delivery all five star. Where it was less good for me were, first, construction is complex and time consuming for an 'average DIYer' like me, so unless you are trade standard or have lots of time and patience I'd go for something more basic ; second - despite very detailed instructions the structure's construction is so complex there were places where you needed still more detailed instructions than they give - looked like there were video links for those technology savvy so you might be better using them; third - despite the structure being very solid and heavy compared to most greenhouses they put the fear of god in to you that it might blow away without lots of anchoring to the ground - but then only supply a handful of these when, from their description, you might need 20 or so. Go on to order these and they're very expensive for a few small bits of metal. In the context of the 2 grand spent on the greenhouse already you accept the extra outlay but then what niggles is a big leap in delivery price (not shown until order complete) to nearly £25 to our 'remote location'. First our location isn't remopte, second they're using Royal Mail services which are £2.95. I point this out and they 'generously' refund a tenner, but, er, still charged £14 delivery for a £3 package of a dozen or so bolts and brackets they already charged £60 for. So it's a shame these niggles take the shine and a couple of stars off the overall experience.

I have just had a Rhino 18x8 greenhouse installed and it has surpassed all expectations. I spent the best part of a year looking at various makes and after visiting GD's show area it was "no contest". To say it's built like a Sherman tank would be an understatement, All I would say to anyone looking to purchase a greenhouse, if you end up buying another make, don't look at a Rhino afterwards, you will be disappointed!

I purchased a 7' x 10' ultimate greenhouse last year and on reflection it was a complete mistake. The house itself is excellent. What is appalling is the total lack of design for accessories. You cannot purchase a link between the 2 roof drains therefore you require 2 water butts. This is then compounded by the fact that the drain pipes are 35 mm in diameter, finding the fixings is close to impossible. After 7 months I am still trying to recover the copious amounts of water that drain from the roofs causing very bad green growth on the paving stones to which my greenhouse is fixed. Beautiful greenhouses poor design.

I purchased my first rhino greenhouse 10x8 nine years ago and its as good as new, i do look after it, with a spring clean and an autumn clean, it is a lovely addition for any avid gardener, and with 25 years guarantee what more can you say, it is so strong i hang all my baskets on the rail when i am growing my plants on, the frame is so strong it knocks spots off any other brand, i have had other brands before my rhino but i decided i wanted the rolls Royce With no regrets i love my rhino, my neighbours still admire it. And its a great green house for what it is made for. I also like if you need parts they are available, my auto windows stopped working so i sent a picture to them, and the new part was sent out to me how cool.
Pay a little more for quality that lasts year on year. 10/10

Not only are Rhino greenhouses the most beautiful, strong greenhouses money can buy but the after sales service from Greenhouses direct is unbelievable.Having sent an e-mail showing I had a broken window vent I was sent out a replacement the following day with an e-mail to tell me it was on it's way. Thank you so much for your amazing products and customer service.

What a fantastic company. I had to pick up the greenhouse from the factory but needed lots of information to help me plan it logistically. The ladies in the office couldn't be more helpful and the service department also became positively involved with excellent suggestions. The dispatch person was also fantastic on the day of pick up. I would wholeheartedly recommend greenhouses direct to anyone who wants a new greenhouse, simply from an engagement and service perspective.
The greenhouse itself is top quality, relatively easy to build with fantastic instructions. I am really happy with the purchase and delighted by the service wrap.
