Good communications
Good communications - regular and clear . The only issue for me was understanding the role of LMS and that of Ackroyds . It didn’t slow down the remortgage process though.

The online tracking and online submission of documentation meant the process of changing mortgage was simple and transparent.

Outstanding from start to finish. Friendly, professional team who kept me informed at every stage and made the whole process completely stress-free. At a time when it's easy to be wary of remote services, this experience has truly been a breath of fresh air. It’s reassuring to know there are still businesses out there that deliver exactly what they say they will — and with such care and integrity.

Appalling communication and service
Despite my solicitor meeting all the requirements and adding all the relevant documentation, including their accounts, to their application to join the panel they were refused because they hadn’t uploaded their company accounts… LMS are now repeatedly asking for the same information that has already been provided and after nearly a month they are still not approved and don’t expect to be anytime soon. Everything had to be done by email, they can’t speak to anyone. I am now in the position of having to find a new solicitor, I have used mine for years, 5 weeks into my purchase. I have no choice but to use LMS as my lender (I don’t have many option) will only work with them. If I could change lender and start again I would and I will certainly be avoiding any lender that uses LMS in the future.
In addition to the above I am now finding it impossible to find a solicitor who is on the panel and approved by my lender…

It was a great experience with this company as they sorted out my property by remortgaging it in a timely manner. Their response times were also quite quick and they also solved any queries which I asked and provided me with reassurance.

Great communication all the way through the process, relatively stress free as it's really clear what stage of mortgage process you are at, notifications when you need them knowing what action is needed to take

Absolutely baffling experience
Absolutely baffling experience. LMS operates with processes that completely lack common sense. I submitted multiple valid documents to verify my identity — including a phone bill with my full, correctly spelled name. Ironically, they failed the validation because my bank statement used my initials rather than my full name (which is completely normal for most financial institutions). Yet somehow, they had no issue misspelling my name in their own correspondence.
They seem more focused on rigid box-ticking than using logic or real-world judgment. Being asked to pay a solicitor to certify a photocopy of my ID — when they already had multiple legitimate documents showing matching details — is nothing short of ridiculous.
If you’re expecting a practical, streamlined process, look elsewhere. I’ll be taking my business to a high street bank that doesn’t treat its customers like they’ve never paid a bill in their own name before.
