Bargain Bundle
Recently we purchased a Sirloin & fillet steak bundle along with 3Kg of chicken breasts.
Fantastic value for money! So far, we have only eaten the Sirloin steak, the meat was tender and the flavour was very good.
The only issue we had was with the delivery date. I booked a date for when I knew I was going to be off work but the date we chose was disregarded and the meat was delivered days early this caused me a problem, however the meat came well packaged. We would highly recommend Malpas farm shop. Continue the great service but please deliver on the customers selected date.

Quality produce at great prices
Quality produce at great prices. Very good communication & ease of ordering online. Was particularly impressed as our delivery was due on hottest day of the year. They emailed to check we would be home to receive delivery & it was very well packed in a box, cool bag & ice packs. Will definitely use again. Highly recommended

Foul smelling spoiled meat…
I purchased my first order a meat box and the first thing I noticed when I opened the steak was an odour that I couldn't put my finger on what it was, I thought maybe it was just the blood and being vacuum packed so we did eat it hesitantly thank god we were ok but it was tough. The same thing happened with the rest of the box thank god it was only a small box, we didn't eat the rump as this was even worse smelling of the same foul smell. A month later three of us decided to give it another go so we visited the shop and had a brevett each plus some other bits sausage and burgers,
The burgers and sausages were ok but the brevett was absolutely vile smelling, it stunk the house out and was like nothing IV ever smelled before, clearly this meat was off, it was stored in the vacuum packaging that it came in and frozen immediately on recieving so stored correctly, besides that how can 3 bramevett steaks for 3 different people stored in 3 different homes all smell the same it is obviously something being sold by malpas. Very disappointed and thank god we didn't risk eating it. Clearly spoiled meat, which can cause salmonella. As a test I put a small piece out for wild animals to eat and guess what it wasn't touched by them either, says it all. That's 3 customers who won't be returning
In response to your reply, yes my order was purchased in store and I didn't contact you as iv seen little evidence on other reviews where anything has been resolved so what was the point you're welcome to have a chat with me no problem with that at all but is there any point as iv a feeling it will be turned back on to me with no resolution hence why I never contacted you. As a regularly user of farm shops and a meat eater of good quality meat since a child I'm aware of good quality or when something isn't up to standard. I'm more disappointed than anything as I thought you were going to be one of my regular go to butchers for quality. Lesson learned if it doesn't smell right play safe and don't eat it.
First of all I'm not going to drive the fairly long distance I live from your shop and back again when there's a high chance nothing will be done like in other cases stated on your reviews.
Secondly you compare yourself to being superior to various supermarkets which is not a like for like comparison.
I don't support supermarkets I support farmers and farm shop produce for all my meat so a like for like comparison to other farms would be a fairer comparison.
As I said before I use various farms f for all my meat but if I come across a new one( to me) i.like to try different places which is how I came to try malpas.
I appreciate you offer of speaking to you which I'm happy to do but I find it pointless because I took the rest of the foul smelling meat from freezer and cooked it for the wild animals I did say this iny first comment even they didn't eat it so it was binned.
Im aware of what vacuum packed meat smells like which does not represent spoilage smell like the meat I had from malpas did.
I appreciate your response to my comments but as a genuine person I have to stand by my findings and won't be returning neither will my 2 friends who also had the same issue.
Im sure you won't miss 3 customers if you are so well used with an outstanding reputation.
Reply. You cannot investigate the matter if it is in the bin due to animals not eating it so how can you resolve it.

After speaking to the owner today who was very pleasant and obliging and and allowed me to explain what had happened with my order, he put his view forward and very kindly resolved the situation to my full satisfaction. Thank you

Off meat
We Purchased bavette steak , when we opened the packaging the meat had a strange odour, we thought it must be the cut of meat and just froze the meat , we defrosted some tonight for our evening meal , smelt awful , obviously this meat was spoiled meat , when packaged i do not know ? but it was pungent sour and off blood !!! A fowl lingering smell that does not dissapate , took ages to get rid of the smell from our kitchen !!Also we purchased on our visit the free sirloin for £1 offer .. that meat would be great for re-soleing your shoes , it was that tough !! We will definitely NOT be purchasing from this business ever again ...

Having reviewed our records, we believe these products were purchased in store rather than through our online shop. However, we have been unable to find any previous contact from you regarding these concerns, nor were the products returned to the store for inspection.
In the case of the bavette steak, it is particularly disappointing to read your comments, as concerns relating to product quality and freshness are something we take extremely seriously. Had we been made aware of the issue at the time, we would have welcomed the opportunity to inspect the product and investigate further. Without being able to examine the meat, its packaging, or any photographs of the product, it is unfortunately impossible for us to determine what may have caused the issue you experienced.
Likewise, whilst bavette and sirloin are both cuts that can vary depending on preparation and cooking method, we would certainly have appreciated the opportunity to discuss your concerns regarding the sirloin steak. Our team is always happy to inspect products that customers are unhappy with and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or exchange.
We always encourage customers to contact us directly or return to the store if they are dissatisfied with any aspect of their purchase. This allows us to investigate concerns properly and, most importantly, gives us the opportunity to put things right.

Overall experience review
Order arrived on time and is packaged very well. Tomahawk steaks were nice. Brisket was a bit tuff and I cooked it slow on low heat. Also ordered the African Sausage wheel, which we didn’t like but this could be down to being an acquired taste.

We’re sorry to hear that the brisket wasn’t quite as tender as you had hoped. Brisket can vary naturally from animal to animal and, whilst it is a cut that rewards low and slow cooking, there can occasionally be some variation in texture.

I ordered 2 boxes, one for me and two ne for my neighbour. Arrived so quickly and very well packaged
I have ordered from Malpas farm shop so many times previously and will continue to do so. The steaks were well packaged, large steak both Sirloin and fillet and I also ordered the feather steaks
I love the fact they now have a pet section of which I ordered the hearts, liver and marrowbone boats for my fur babies, the absolutely loved them
My neighbour was so pleased with the quality of the steaks and a quick delivery service

Delivery good, but the quality of the steaks I received was awful. Cooked to medium rare, still quite bloody which is what I like, but really chewy and tasteless. Had much better from budget supermarkets! Won't be buying again.

I ordered the 20oz Malpas Sirloin steaks and very pleasantly surprised just whatgood quality meat I received. There was a little fat, sure, but the meat was very succulent and tasted lovely. Excellent for the money. Delivery was prompt and meat was well wrapped

Poor quality
Bought the steak deal 10 sirloins 10 fillets and a free tomahawk. To be honest I was disappointed. A large majority of the sirloins looked like they had been torn rather than cut across the bottom edge, rought cuts. And pretty tasteless when cooked even when hammering them with seasoning. The fillets again rough cut and trimmed. Better taste than the sirloins but not by the standard of fillets steak. All the weights were just about on the lowest weight advertised. Overall very disappointing.
