Response to their reply

Following your response to my previous review, I feel compelled to address the facts that have been consistently distorted and misrepresented by NRI Legal Services. I believe it's important to set the record straight, as these facts will demonstrate that the allegations we've made are not unfounded.
On October 9, 2019, one of the director of NRI Legal Services, provided me with the family deed. At that time, I inquired about the property card mutation, as per our agreement, the director and owner assured me that it would happen automatically in the coming weeks, in accordance with Maharashtra regulations. Despite my lack of knowledge about Mumbai regulations, I made the full payment based on their word that the property mutation would be completed in due course.

However, on October 25, 2019, I sent an email to one of the director, who is the current CEO of NRI Legal Services, questioning why the mutation had not yet been done. His response was as follows:

"Property cards are automatically updated by the Government. We are following up with the department already... but this is something beyond anyone's control. For that matter, for Motiwala, even the initial transaction done decades ago is still not updated. That said, I am pushing to have this done, but to be very honest, committing to a timeline for this happening is tough since Maharashtra was busy with elections, and the results have come out yesterday, and now everything is shut for Diwali. Thus, I will be only able to provide you a cogent update in the 1st week of November, hopefully."

Since I did not receive an update from the director (the current CEO) in the first week of November 2019, I wrote to him again on November 12, 2019, seeking information on the property card mutation. He replied on the same day:
"Also, the mutations for all 3 buildings have already been applied and we should have that sorted also very shortly."
Furthermore, on November 19, 2019, I followed up with the current CEO who was a director then once again regarding the property mutation, and his response on the same day was:
"Also, on the mutations as informed, these have already been applied and will be available shortly. (I am unable to commit an exact date for the same since the process to get the mutations done typically takes 10-15 weeks). It has already been 3 weeks since the mutations were applied, so we have to wait for this process to go through the process and get completed."
In 2020, when I contacted NRI Legal Services to request copies of the contracts we had signed, including the one from March 2019, which they were supposed to send me but did not. When I informed that we could not find a scan copy of that agreement that brother had taken, their stance began to change. They suddenly asserted that property card mutation was not included in our agreement and that we needed to retain their services and pay additional fees. This contradicted our initial understanding and felt like a breach of trust.
It's worth noting that if there was no agreement in place for property card mutation, the current CEO whom I was e-mailing would have clarified this in his responses to my inquiries in 2019 instead of providing excuses for the delay.
In conclusion, my experience with NRI Legal Services has been marked by unfulfilled promises, evasive responses, and a lack of transparency.

In 2017 I engaged NRI Legal Services to handle a property family deed transfer and mutation on a property. Unfortunately, my experience with them has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating.

Initially, we had a clear agreement regarding the fees for the services we required. However, to my surprise, NRI Legal Services decided to change the fees after we had already agreed upon them. Despite my reservations, we paid the revised fees.
Regrettably, the problems did not end there. Despite our contract clearly stipulating that the mutation on the property card would be completed, NRI Legal Services has failed to fulfill this crucial aspect of the agreement. This oversight is not only frustrating but also a breach of the trust we placed in them to handle our legal matters competently and professionally.

The most concerning aspect of my experience with NRI Legal Services is their apparent lack of transparency and commitment to their clients. It is disheartening to deal with a service provider that not only changes fees arbitrarily but also fails to deliver on their promises.

I cannot, in good faith, recommend NRI Legal Services to anyone seeking legal assistance. Trust is a fundamental aspect of any client-lawyer relationship, and NRI Legal Services has failed to uphold this trust. I would advise potential clients to exercise caution and explore other options when seeking legal services

Being an NRI, I sought help from NRI Legal Services to resolve my property matters in India and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their expertise in handling such cases. I highly recommend this esteemed law firm to all NRIs who are looking to resolve any property-related legal issues in India and are not able to frequently travel to India must avail the services of this firm. As you can see all 5 star reviews are from India which clearly means they have posted positive reviews for them selves. Their service is rubbish. And very unprofessional they take your mo ey then ignore you and ask for more money. Do not trust this company as they are tugs

Many Lapses in Service Delivery, NRI Legal services are providing a service but not delivering quality results. We instructed NRI Legal Services and found many issues , this included speaking to people over the phone who had a poor understanding of the case to proficiency in English. We received our case with many mistakes these included names which had been mixed up to calculations.

We have contacted NRI Legal Services on a number of occasions and they have promised but not delivered on sending us the correct file with the correct details of persons concerned.

I understand that this Company is trying to provide a service but you will not receive a service equivalent to European or Western practice standards, this may leave you feeling a loss of time and money. The organisation needs to step and and be more professional and transparent , I never experienced this throughout our contact. Always seek alternative options you may be better off to instruct someone in New Delhi or Mumbai.
