Less than 1 week after LASIK and I am very happy with the results. I waited 10 years until I could have it done and it was well worth the wait. I found it slightly confusing with the similarities in the procedures (LASIK/LASEK) and also the healing times varied, so it pays to do the research. The advice I was given by the trained professionals seemed to be impartial and I was left to decide which procedure I wanted, based on my vision and needs - there was no pressure. However, after agreeing a date for the procedure, I noticed there was a slight error in the communications and the booking said LASEK instead of LASIK. This was quickly rectified but the difference would have meant a much longer healing process with time off work, so glad we spotted this. Overall, I am very happy with the results and the service received from Optimax and would not hesitate to recommend LASIK to anyone who is looking to go contacts/glasses free.

I had refractive lens replacement at Cardiff in September. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and put me totally at ease. My parents waited while I had it done and we were offered numerous drinks while we waited. The operation itself went very well. All the surgical team were lovely too. Felt reassured that everything would go well.
I had my initial appointment and follow up appointments at the Bristol office. Again all the staff have been great and I have felt at both locations they are thorough.
I would definitely recommend Optimax Cardiff and Bristol. My eyesight is brilliant after just 2 weeks, so pleased I had it done.

I recently had my vision corrected at Optimax in Cardiff. Every single member of staff was friendly and helpful and explained everything clearly and answered any questions I had. Would highly recommend.

I'm glad I went to the cardiff optimax branch. The staff are amazing. No sales pressure. They did a thorough eye exam and explained my options clearly. I was going to have the most expensive option but the surgeon recommended the middle range lense replacement due to how important night vision is for me. I'm a week in and no glasses needed right from the beginning. Just sun glasses for day light. My reading is great too no glasses needed their either. It's been very refreshing. My next check up is in a couple of days. My sure you stick to using the eye drops like clockwork it's very important to stop infections and irritation..

I booked a consultation with Optimax. I was accommodated really well by the staff. Nadir examined my eyes and talked me through the options available to me, he thoroughly explained the processes and benefits. From start to finish the staff have been amazing. They have put my care at the forefront of every appointment. Incredible experience snd results.

I went for LASIK eye surgery and in less than twenty- four hours I’m able to see better than my best prescription and there is still a bit of healing to do. The staff are amazing, always welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend Optimax if you are considering treatment

We honestly couldn’t recommend Optimax enough after my husband recently had laser eye surgery.

From our very first appointment, the whole experience was amazing. Every member of staff we came across was so friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answer all of our questions and, most importantly, gave us so much confidence and reassurance throughout the whole process.

We were fully informed about the procedure, the expected results and all of the potential risks before making any decisions. Nothing was rushed or sugar-coated, which really helped us feel comfortable knowing we were making an informed choice. We were also given contact details for any questions or concerns, which was incredibly reassuring.

The results have honestly been incredible. My husband’s eyesight is now better than 20/20 vision, which is absolutely amazing! Seeing the difference in his vision has made the whole experience so worthwhile. He can now see things clearly that he previously needed glasses or contact lenses for, and it has made such a difference to his everyday life.

A special mention has to go to Tracey, the manager, who is absolutely lovely. She is so approachable, caring and genuinely goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and she made every visit feel personal rather than just another appointment. Her reassurance and friendly manner really stood out to us.

The clinical team were fantastic too, and we always felt that we were in safe and capable hands. The professionalism, communication and care throughout the entire journey have been exceptional.

If you’re considering laser eye surgery and feeling nervous or unsure, I would definitely recommend speaking to Optimax. They made what could have been a daunting experience feel comfortable, straightforward and reassuring from start to finish.

Really happy with my experience at Optimax Leeds! From my initial eye check-up, booking the surgery, and all the way through to the actual day of my LASIK, everyone was so welcoming, supportive and helpful.

Special mention to Brishna and Dr Samuel — both were so patient with all my questions and really took the time to explain everything to me. I’m terrible with names, but the clinic manager was also so warm and lovely, and everyone in the theatre was amazing.

I was quite nervous about having LASIK, but honestly, the nurses and doctors made me feel like I was in very good hands. They checked on me every step of the way, which really helped calm my nerves.

I have my post-op check-up tomorrow, so hopefully my healing continues to go well 🤞🏻 But the best part was that as soon as I got home after the surgery, I could already see without my glasses! 🥹 It was such an amazing feeling!

Overall, I’m really happy I chose Optimax Leeds and would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about getting LASIK. Thank you so much to the whole team for looking after me so well! ❤️

❤️ My experience of refractive lens exchange

On September 5th, I finally took the plunge and had refractive lens exchange (RLE).at Optimax Leeds.

For the last few years, I’d found myself increasingly reliant on reading glasses. They seemed to be permanently attached to me — reading messages, menus, labels, finding the small print… and of course, constantly looking for where I’d put them! 😂👓

Eventually I reached the point where I thought, “Right, I’m ready for a change.”

I’ll be honest, I was nervous beforehand. Having something done to your eyes is a big decision, and I had all the usual thoughts and worries going through my mind.

But from the moment I arrived, I felt so well looked after.

A huge thank you to Tracy and Sophie, who kept me laughing and helped settle my nerves, and to Clare, Sandra and Amanda, who were so caring and reassuring throughout. ❤️

And a very special thank you to Mr Ilango for looking after me. I felt I was in incredibly safe hands, and I’m so grateful for the care, kindness and professionalism I received. 🙏❤️

Before I knew it, it was all over!

The biggest surprise has been waking up and not needing my reading glasses. 🥹

I honestly can’t describe how strange — and amazing — that feels. Something as simple as picking up my phone first thing in the morning and being able to read it without reaching for my glasses is something I’d completely taken for granted.

I’m already seeing so clearly and I’ve just booked my first holiday since having the procedure. ✈️☀️

I’m especially looking forward to sitting somewhere beautiful, watching my first holiday sunset and being able to enjoy it without having to think about where I’ve put my glasses. 🌅❤️

Looking back, I spent so long thinking about whether I should have it done, and now I’m wondering why I waited so long!

For me, it really has been a life-changing experience, and I’m so happy I made the decision.

Im about 10 month post LASIK at optimax manchester. Its quite frankly been life changing. My vision is entirely back to normal and its hard to think i had to wear glasses or contact lenses 24/7 for 10-20 years, i genuinely cant beleive i didnt do this sooner. Worth every penny, super easy procedure, literally was nervous about nothing, easy recovery and no lasting side effects bar normal vision!

I’d always thought about getting LASIK but was either put off by nerves or the price.

Optimax offered the best solution for me. The price is fixed regardless of your prescription.

I had several consultations, was deemed suitable and then had a LASIK procedure done. Everything was explained to me and I was reassured. There’s more risk of damage to your eyes using contact lenses than laser eye surgery!

Only uncomfortable part of the procedure was the pressure on the eye during the first phase. However it’s over in 20 seconds and your vision comes back moments later.

I remember sitting up after the procedure and already being able to see distance! That’s after 21 years of being short sighted.

Now my vision is great and I am glasses/lens free! I would recommend it to anyone :)

I have just been signed off after my final checkup visit following lens replacement surgery. Mr Ilango carried out the surgery and was the surgeon who carried out my laser eye surgery 25 years ago. Yet again I have gained perfect vision at all distances and will also never require cataract surgery in the future either. This truly is life changing and I would go nowhere else for treatment,in fact 3 of my friends are going to have the same procedure now. The whole team at Optimax Liverpool were absolutely wonderful and a special mention for Humiyo the aftercare optometrist,who really went above and beyond to support me, Thankyou so much,Graham Mac.

Had the laser last year and optimax have looked after me the whole year and having to have the right eye done again and same service once again I would recommend anybody to have this process done with them

I had LASEK surgery here and the personal after care I received throughout was outstanding — Amanda in particular took the time to talk me through every stage and always making me feel genuinely looked after rather than just another patient on the list. That level of attention made a real difference. I will say, though, that the recovery was tougher and longer than I'd been led to expect going in — the dryness, the eye fatigue, the fluctuating and uneven healing between my two eyes, and the near-vision adjustment took real patience over several months, and I wish I'd had a clearer picture of that beforehand so I could have prepared for it properly. Still, the results have been excellent, and the quality of care from the team, especially Amanda, is what stood out most.

I found the whole experience from start to finish excellent..I am a nurse by profession and my standards are high ..
The Optimax team showed professionalism extensive knowledge and kindness ..The clinic is spotless and very organised ..I would recommend 100%
