Had to have a lens replaced due to a faulty one I had implemented about 10 years ago.
I went down to the Hampshire hospital and saw Mr Lash. He and the nurses were brilliant and my eyesight is much improved. Had a check up in Manchester a few weeks ago and everyone was very professional and caring. I definitely will recommend Optegra. Thank you.

Quick appointment, clean premises, clinicians, nurses reception were all good. Use of kenalog was good as I didn't need to use any eye drops . Results of cataract surgery both eyes were excellent.

Very pleased. Professional and prompt service. My only suggestion would be that everyone involved gets together and agrees the aftercare advice regarding permissable activities as there was a lot of variation regarding what I was told by different people and what the printed information advised. Otherwise all good and I'm delighted I no longer need glasses. Thank you.

Friendly, honest staff

My NHS cataract procedure with Optegra took only 11 weeks from the confirmation by the Optometrist, the referral to my GP and completion of the second eye operation.
The organisation was very efficient and the surgeon was superb and inspired confidence when he said he had completed some 1600 previous procedures when questioned.

Excellent experience here at Optegra. All staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Surgeon is excellent. If you need cataract surgery, go for it, don’t be afraid. The operation is totally pain free, even though your eyes are open you only see lights not the surgeon or the instruments used to perform the operation. It’s all over and done so quickly, it’s far worse going to the dentist. I highly recommend Optegra, don’t hesitate go for it your eyes will thank you for it.

Wonderful staff great outcome every thing is coloured

I was very impressed from start to finish from the pre - Assessment through to each cataract being done. Very efficient, caring staff and successful outcome.

Very prompt contact after referral from optician. An extremely clean and friendly environment. The staff were all very professional and answered all questions clearly and with reassurance. They must have been asked the same questions time and time again, but they were always helpful, friendly and keen to put you at your ease.
Prompt appointments for the operations with excellent follow up by them and then contact with optician for final check up. Most efficient.
Only complaint is IRIS! What a useless piece of technology, not able to cope with question answers, confusing. Give me HUMAN CONTACT every time!!

I thought the surgery was excellent but I wasn't impressed with the information provided either pre or post operation.....I felt I was treated a bit like a conveyor belt.....not as I would have expected from paying privately.

No personal follow up post op, even the 2 week check up seemed rushed and not at all informative. All they seemed interested in as to whether I met the DVLA criteria. The optometrist and his colleague didnt even introduce themselves.....all proceeds driven, not patient driven

Very disappointed with the after care, but delighted with the actual surgery.

Being able to speak on the phone to book or ask questions. Having an appointment time and not everyone arriving all at the same time. Even taken up early on both occasions. Reception very friendly and all staff efficient

Pleasant and efficient staff and the punctuality of each section of the operation

If you want a cataract removed on the NHS, then I guess Optegra is better than going to the eye hospital as the waiting lists are shorter and it is a nice environment. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a coffee machine. However, the down side is that it is a quick rushed experience. I had my eye scratched during the operation which caused me more discomfort in the following weeks than had it not been scratched. The After care is not really there. If you want an after care appointment you have to request it. You really are just a number. I will not be going to them for my second eye.

I found everyone at Optegra to be kind and patient with me as I was very nervous, the after care was also good.
