7 month pup failed by this system

I rang out of hours PDSA and was told to join paw squad as my 7 month old puppy was VERY poorly I got sent a WhatsApp link and they made me upload videos of my dog was advised to starve him for 48 hours as he was being sick with a revolting smell,very disorientated ,could barley walk also had two mini seizures wich I showed them. The report was classed as non urgent no vet needed then 2days later my dog really started to deteriorate went through the paw squad again because I knew something was wrong sent them videos and then they told me it was an emergency and to get my dog there now once I got there the lady said my dogs stomach was very tense and they was gonna keep him in tonight for observation a hour later I got a call saying that my dogs gone really depressed and his heart rates slowing down and that he wasn’t good at all they decided to operate that morning. during the operation I got a call to say that my dog has crashed they revived him but told me the operation wasn’t going well and advised me that he should be put to sleep because his faeces was leaking into his stomach and that it would’ve been unfair and the dog and he would’ve died either way FROM THE FIRST ASSESMENT I CLEARY TOLD THEM THE SYMPTOMS FROM WHEN HE WAS BEING SICK WITH THE SMELL .. the veteran that operated on my dog was shocked by the first report and woudlve classed this as a emergency and to be brought in when I got in touch and that my dog could’ve been alive if I brought him when I first reported this .
ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR INSTINCTS AS WE KNOW OUR PETS BECAUSE OF THIS COMPANY MY 7 MONTH OLD PUPPY IS NOW DEAD . THIS APP IS USLESS . I would’ve brought my dog into the vets my self but they told me I would’ve been refused any sort of treatment and that I had to go through paw squad as a result of this we want to take this further so it doesn’t happen to any other pet owner.

An excellent service

I had a video call with one of the vets. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was called back after my initial contact. My vet was lovejy I did not feel rushed at all She saw my dog on the video and gave advice accordingly. To have this service 24/7 is fantastic. I will certainly be using it again

Poorly puppy

I was very concerned with my 5month old puppy,even though I attended the vets,I realised pawsquad had a 24hr video link to a vet so I went on ,during the video link the vet was able to see my concerns with my puppy and gave me great advice on the next step.Gladly he is on the mend now Thankyou for your support 👍

An invaluable service for all pet owners

We have had to use the services of Pawsquad a number of times recently as unfortunately our newly rehomed puppy has had a few issues! Every Vet we have spoken to has been brilliant, extremely knowledgeable and has either reassured us and guided us to help our dog at home or where necessary has advised us to visit our vet practice. It is an extra peace of mind that you can speak to a professional in a matter of minutes, we have found the service invaluable!

Great Advice

Used twice for advice following our puppy's castration. Very professional, gave good advice which was later mirrored by our vet physically. Very useful part of Admiral insurance.

Great service

We had a fantastic service from the PawSquad vet. Using the app was simple and the video facetime worked really well. The vet was very thorough asking lots of questions to ensure we got the information we needed. The advice was spot on within a day or so our puppy was back to normal. Would definitely recommend especially for the cost which is cheap in comparison to going to an emergency vet if you're just seeking advice.

First class service

I used this service via Direct Line pet insurance.
This is an excellent service provided by PawSquad. Video consultation makes everything more personal. The two Vets I had consultations with, showed genuine empathy & concern for my dog.Their diagnosis was spot on, as was the advice given to make my dog better.
The consultation was not rushed, which was more encouraging. The Emailed report, stated my concerns about my dog & good advice to return my dog back to health.
I would not hesitate to use this service in future & would recommend anybody with an unwell pet to do the same.
Thankyou PetSquad for a first class service

It was quick and easy to get an…

It was quick and easy to get an appointment online. I spoke with a very helpful, considerate vet who gave me good advice, put my mind at rest and gave me further information about how I could help my cat.
A really quick and easy way to get the information that I needed.

Reassurance when needed

I used PawSquad after a friend recommended them to me. My dog had an minor eye injury which bled slightly and I was considering taking him to the out of hours vet but remembered about PawSquad. I had a video consultation and the vet was able to reassure me and give me some advice regarding management. I had a follow up appointment the next day and also sent photos and thankfully the vet assured me that the eye surface looked fine and even though the eye liked bloodshot, his body would reabsorb it in a few days. Dr Hannah was amazing and reassuring. Cost would never have been a factor where my dog is concerned, but it us worth noting that two consultations cost me less than £40, whereas a trip to my out of hours vets would have been £225 out of hours charge plus the consultation fee. Brilliant service from PetSquad and I would highly recommend for instances where you "just aren't sure" you need a visit to the vets. Will definitely be using again.

Very upset at this tonight

Very upset at this tonight. Paid 24 pounds as I am worried about my dog. Got cut off right after I paid.
Paid again, and myself and vet could barely communicate as the connection was so bad then we also got got cut off again. Had an email saying first payment would be refunded ( in up to ten days !) but I suppose the second one won't be, then got message from vet asking me to call again! In which case I'd have to pay a third time and likely get cut off again! This service used to be good, but I've just spent 50 pounds I need for my dog on nothing, because I'm worried about him.
This is wrong.

Online Vet appointment

We made an appointment and this was available within hours. On discussing an issue regarding our dogs diahorea and general health, the Vet provided helpful advice. We followed that advice and our dog was back to himself within 24 hrs. There was no need for a follow up and we were pleased to have been able to access this service. The Vet was very pleasant and took time to understand our concerns and reassured us.

Honestly worst experience ever

Honestly worst experience ever. Was told by vet to go through Pawsquad I spoke with someone fairly quickly after paying but was told on the Saturday morning to monitor my 8 month old puppy and go to her appointment on Monday morning the second the call ended I rushed my dog in for emergency care as she was losing her breathe. I was advised to wait until Monday morning and if I didn’t take her straight after the call I was told she might of not made it through the night I’m glad I went with my instinct and not the advice given to me. Wasted money to nearly lose my pet from bad advice.

Fantastic 5* service

I was away from home, when my little Jack Russell was struggling to breathe early in the morning (8am). I was panicking and then remembered I had the Paw Squad 24/7 vet assistance. I videoed my dog and called the vet. My call was answered quickly. I was asked questions and reassured that it was a symptom of a reaction to her Kennel Cough vaccination the previous week. The phone call was backed up by an emailed report. Fantastic service.

Very poor experience

Very poor experience. Contacted them hoping to get answers and treatment for my dog. Was told what I already knew that my dogs nail is sore and swollen! Well obviously that's why I've contacted them in the first place. They advised me to make an appointment with the vet in the morning. I thought paws quad ARE vets. When I asked if they can recommend anything for treatment they've just disconnected the chat. And they charge £40 for that? Luckily I didn't have to pay as its included in my pet insurance but if I had to pay I would be demanding a refund. Very disappointing

Last night I was advised by pdsa last night and they gave me pawsquad to speck to a vet by zoom and the first vet was amazing and asked me if my dog Bella got any worse get back in touch with them so I did and straight away they told me to go pdsa straight away and they said I didn't need to get in touch with pdsa just for me to get there I can honestly say they are amazing company

My dog died last night

My dog died last night. I kept telling the vet how poorly my dog was. This was what my out of hours vets said I had to use and if the vet thought the dog needed to be seen then they would give me an appointment. The vet told me my dog looked ok and stable. I ended up rushing my dog to the vets in hope they would see me where my dog was so Ill she passed away. Your vets obviously are not qualified. When someone is telling you my pet is very ill and all they say is she looked stable. Shame on your vets.
