Our history
SECOM’s roots in the UK go back as far as 1918, when the family-owned Lodge Lock and Safe Company began providing security solutions.
Growth and acquisitions led to its re-emergence as the Carroll Security Group – a major independent electronic security company.

So called Maintenance Visit
As Secom gave us no advance warning, we were most reluctant at first to allow their so-called representative in the house to carry out a six-monthly maintenance check. Nevertheless, after showing us his badge, that he appeared in a SECOM van and appeared to be doing all the right things, we relaxed somewhat. The company should communicate better.

The engineer checked everything very…
The engineer was very thorough and carefully checked each individual component. I understand that the visit took around four hours because there had been some errors in the previous setting and he needed to go through everything carefully to make sure it was all correct.
He was also a supervisor and needed to take calls from other engineers and give them advice during the visit.
Although the visit was quite long and tiring me, I really appreciated his patience, thoroughness and professional approach. He took the time to make sure everything was properly checked and resolved.
