Oh my goodness. Never want to go to another one again.

It was conveniently places near the services so went first on way up the road and 5 days later on way back.

When being overheard about the amount of flies, the lovely waitress advised they had a problem with flies at the moment which they were working at. When highlighted it could be to do with the rotting carrots on their vegetables display was advised they would sort it.

Upon returning 5 days later astounded to see they were still there and obviously in a more rotted condition.

Staff were friendly enough but was still not convinced it was going to be dealt with.
No intentions of going back to that one or any other one.

It would be nice if the food was cooked. The meat was fine although very grisly. The vegetables, thats another story. Undercooked, hard and unable to eat them. The potatoes were very greasy. I took my wife for an anniversary dinner. Not impressed.

I honestly cannot believe this meal was considered acceptable to send out to a paying customer.

I ordered a Toby Carvery through Uber Eats and what arrived was absolutely disgusting. The food was full of pieces that appeared to be fat, skin, gristle and rubbery/jelly-like material, including several large amber/orange, gelatinous pieces that I could not identify. I have taken clear photographs because I was genuinely shocked at what I was looking at.

The amount of actual edible meat was also incredibly poor. What should have been a roast dinner was largely made up of unpleasant fatty, chewy and unidentified pieces that I simply could not eat.

This isn’t about being fussy or not liking the food — this is about the quality and condition of food being supplied to a paying customer.

What made the whole experience even worse was that I actually took the time to call the manager to raise my concerns. The response I received was incredibly dismissive and, quite frankly, gave me the impression that they couldn’t care less. There was no genuine concern about what had been served, no reassurance and no sense that the issue was being taken seriously.

I have kept the food and photographic evidence, and given the nature of what was supplied, I am taking this further as a food-quality/food-safety concern, rather than simply accepting a refund through Uber Eats.

Toby Carvery, you seriously need to look at what is leaving your kitchen. Customers are paying good money for a proper roast dinner, not a container full of fat, gristle and unidentified jelly-like material.

Absolutely unacceptable food, followed by an absolutely unacceptable response from management. I would not order from here again and cannot recommend this establishment based on this experience.

Toby Cavery, Peterborough is fabulous and so good I return every week. The food and service are tremendous and represent incredible value for money. All the staff are lovely and I’ve come to know them all. Big thanks to the young Indian lady chef who always greets me with a smile and is generous with the meat. Jodie is a fantastic people person with a bright sunny personality - big thank you too.

Decided to try a takeaway carvery.
Food turned up cold.
We ordered 3 meats on 1 carvery and 2 on the other carvery.
The first one only had 1 meat and the second one had the wrong meat.
Emailed Toby several times. Would have been better off emailing the pope.
Sorry but it was just eats fault.
Why???
Definitely will not be using Toby Carvery in the near future

Had a lovely meal at The dog at Over in Gloucester.
Even though there are really bad road works at the moment, the service we had was excellent.
Couldn't fault the food, it was as lovely as always and our waitress Kit was very friendly and helpful, brilliant service.

Come every week Demi is great as always in fact all are very welcoming

Made a booking for 5 for my 14 year old daughter’s birthday including 85 year old disabled granny. Arrived to be told by a very unfriendly lady that she couldn't trace our booking (despite 3 texts and 2 emails being received) we were asked to wait at the bar. No explanation was given as we were made to stand and wait for 10 mins. Bad customer service at the Kings Norton venue.

Toby carvery ainsworth. Waited 5 mins for someone to come to desk to seat us, long queue for food so we stayed sat down for a while then braved the queue. Unfriendly staff, ignored literally. Asked waitress to come back after she asked if we want dessert as we didn’t know yet , she didn’t come back , had to get up and go to staff when I wanted dessert . Asked same waitress for bill after I again had to get up and go to staff to ask for bill. She went off didn’t return. So I asked a waiter . This girl was literally avoidant. Don’t think I’ll bother again food awful

Seated fairly quickly on being seated dirty table Yorkshire pudding on floor screaming baby next table,was offered alternative table sat between 2 kids,on queuing for food child sneezed all over vegetables 🤢little meat, sticky serving spoons only allowing smallest portion far too busy £80 won't be back Thurrock branch.

Been toby carvery tonight veg wasn't cooked stuffing was all dry up and potatoes was cold only good thing was waiter she was brilliant but won't be returning in hurry drinks was rip off and drink machine on refill had no cherry Pepsi or Pepsi full sugar. For bill over 45 pounds was poor food will definitely will be rethinking aboat returning. Toby carvery edenthorpe.been coming for years was treat for my wife neither off enjoy meal

No Yorkshire puddings, gravy, roast potatoes had to ask for all of them,then no condiments our meat was like rubber,when we complained was told my the manageress it's the time of day ,we went to ormskirk for a day out ended up hoping for a nice dinner but we were so disappointed not even an offer of discount or compensation

I visited Toby Calvery in Woodford lunchtime Sunday 13th of September
We were made to feel so welcome by the manager James and a member of his bar staff also called James,
I had a very small dog with me and there was no problem whatsoever. It was around 1 o’clock,
The lady that actually was working on the carvery her name was Louise. I believe she was just so incredibly helpful pointing out the plate was hot for me and to make sure I had some serviettes in my hand , and also to my daughter is vegetarian. She helped her. It was just a different experience than some of the ones I’ve been in in the west London area,
So well done, James and the team for making our experience really enjoyable and we will definitely visit again when I’m next over that way visiting my family that I’ve just moved to that part of London, I must add that the food was excellent as was the pub area lovely and clean,

It was awful, completely understaffed, those who were serving and replenishing spent 85% of their time making up takeaway boxes. Queue for food was 45 minutes only 1 carving the meat and a line which snaked along the resteraunt, a lot of vegetable dishes empty or missing, mainly due to the takeaway boxes.
No cutlery, drinks order took forever and was wrong when it arrived and not rectified, and worst of all red plastic twine found in the food, which I literally watched my daughter pull from her mouth, needless to say she didnt eat the remaining food, showed the waitress nothing was done.
Bill took 20 minutes to arrive,at this point I am not going to return to the Woodford Branch.

We ordered from the Peterborough restaurant via Just Eat. The food was stone cold when we got it and we only received one of two bags. No: Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes or desserts that we paid for were included.

The beef was pure fat - despite there being a lot of it, there were only a couple of mouthfuls of edible meat. We paid £45 for this disaster. Currently pursuing Just Eat for a refund. Yuk.

Ipswich Toby carvery been there a couple of times this will be my last time as when we turned up about 9:45 am there was no eggs no baked beans the bacon was stuck together so you couldn’t separate them the initial service was rubbish standing around we had to wait about 5 minutes at the bar to get your initial payment sorted to get your coffee or cold drink option absolute terrible we has to sit at table and wait for items to be restocked absolute rubbish and the sausages were soft and had strange taste and the bacon stiff as a board not good avoid at all costs go to your local cafe!!

Absolutely fabulous time ... all 50 of us .... Anna the manageress was fantastic so was Josh the server ... we always ask for him ... Ken the chef was brilliant the meat was all moist and tasty and vegetables hot ... great experience and we've already placed another booking .... well done Toby Brighton Road

I went to the Carvery in Thanet yesterday. There was a sign saying they had no mashed potatoe fair enough I guess. Then there was no yorkshire puddings and little choice of veg. We tried to order drinks we was told there would be a 10 minute wait. It was actually 15. Then we tried to pay for the bill we was told it was a 10 minute wait. We then was told by someone different to go to the bar as we could pay there. Which we did only to be told we cant pay at the bar. We went back to the waitress and eventually paid, when we asked why it was so hectic we were told because they won't pay for extra staff because they want everything cheap. The toilets were filthy as was the restaurant. Very poor experience from start to finish.
