Poor customer support for disabled customers
I write this negative review on behalf of my wife. Too explain, yesterday my wife spent over an hour on a further call to ask Vodafone to send an engineer to her mothers house. This she has done several times. She explained her mother has dementia, my wife explained she has power of attorney. My wife (as I was present) was given the run around by Vodafone. She was told she needed a 4 digit pin before they would talk to her as a means of fixing the landline issue. Wife had no idea what the pin would be. To continue to raise a service call the wife was told she had to upload id in terms of her mother, this despite the fact last year my wife and her sister both registered power of attorney with Vodafone. Wife submitted mothers id only to find they won’t accept it. So we stand with no phone (over a week now) for her mother to ring out, no phone for wife to ring her vulnerable mother. A truly poor company who seem to have no idea what caring for trully disabled customers means. If I could give a no star review I would.
Well it’s now the 20th of August. Vodafone promised to sort mother in laws phone line out on the 18th of August. This was weeks after they were informed it wasn’t working, today my sister in law gave notice family are cancelling the contract as Vodafone won’t attend the property to fix the phone line. Appalling service, especially given that a disabled 82 year old has been left without service for weeks. Vodafone, what can I say, other than you don’t support disabled customers. We’re signing up with an alternative provider.

Hey David, It sounds like your wife was asked to confirm the PIN as security. This is put in place to protect your account from being accessed by anyone but those registered to access it. The PIN would've been one she provided when being registered as having power of attorney last year. I'm sorry to hear she was unable to remember this. She can update her details online by following these steps: https://vodafone.uk/3LHAQDK Or by popping into any Vodafone store with photo ID.
