Only bank or Building Society that has two different account numbers for one account,8 digits and 10 digits,causes frustration not being sure which to use when trying to transfer money from YBS to another bank.

YBS are beginning to be like all of the…
YBS are beginning to be like all of the other financial institutions, that is they want you to go online and not speak to a person. Very sad I will be moving my 125k when my fixed accounts mature as they no longer answer phone aclls for a very very very long time instead playing recorded messages to go online or use there app

Very friendly and efficient staff at Ripon branch. Setting up my new account was quick and easy. I could even use a passbook, thus avoiding the risks of the internet. Everything was just as I would have wished. Well done!

The Service was good the young lady…
The Service was good the young lady who served me managed to find a spot in a busy timetable to enable me to join the Building Society ( I don't come into the city centre often). She was thorough covering all the detail I needed to invest in the Society Including on line banking and the range of accounts.

I was very pleased with the interest…
I was very pleased with the interest available on a one year savings bond. The staff were extremely helpful in starting up my account and explaining how to transfer money into my new savings bond. The whole atmosphere was calm and very pleasant.

I have received nothing but appalling service and more worrying incorrect advice over the past week.
I was informed my cash isa status for this tax year would remain active following an emergency withdrawal.
Unfortunately this is not the case.
I have raised a complaint. No response yet. Cannot say I am surprised

Unfortunately, if you have closed a fixed rate ISA, these are not flexible accounts, which is why it is important not to commit funds that may be required during the year.
If you have registered a complaint, the Customer Relations Team will contact you in due course, and you will receive a final written response in no more than eight weeks.

I thought transferring my account from Chelsea to Yorkshire would be seamless. I was wrong, it was an awful and time consuming process.
