CRB Direct (www.crbdirect.org.uk) are an independent agency who offer a simple process when applying for your Basic Disclosure. We specialise in checking and processing Basic Disclosure applications and provide support and advice specifically for the Basic Disclosure Online Application. We do not currently handle applications for Standard or Enhanced DBS checks although we may be able to advise on who you need to contact if you do require a Standard or Enhanced DBS check.

The communication and support provided in response to queries has been next to none. However, Kathryn in particular has been exceptional in handling our tickets and has gone above and beyond to assist me. Her help and commitment have been greatly appreciated.

Very helpful phone call
I requested a phone call with an account manager as I’d found some of the terminology relating to my DBS difficult to interpret. Ross clarified all the necessary information and went through my application in detail. I was also refunded a payment that was no longer required. A very helpful, personable and effective call which resulted in my application being processed very quickly. Thank you so much!!

I processed 4 checks the team were very helpful, with prompt responses to any questions that I had. I will definitely use them in future for our checks.

This is just a money grabbing scheme
This is just a money grabbing scheme, as a business I needed to do a basic DBS check on my employee, paid the exorbitant fees (£45 registration fee and £78.5 for the DBS check which is normally £21.5!) and submitted the form, to find out after 3 days that the check has not been done as they are waiting for ID verification, which we didn't know or received any notifications for, and that I have to send a link to my employee and ask them to pay another £15 to do this and send me the results so this can be proceeded! This is just ridiculous and actually creates hurdles instead of solving any problems, just ask people to do the DBS check themselves and send you the results and reimburse them for it! at least this way it's cheaper and faster!
