Svolgendo il corso in Food sustainability mi sono resa conto di quanto vasto e urgente sia il tema sostenibilità e di quanto ancora il zero net sia lontano ma non irraggiungibile!
Il corso ha dimostrato varietà e profondità dei temi che trattava, una buona consapevolezza dei temi che riguardano l’agrifood system!
La struttura delle lezioni e il programma hanno avuto grande successo tra gli alunni, così come l’esperienza di visita in loco e la giornata insieme finale hanno creato scambio interculturale e legami importanti!
L’opportunità di partecipazione all’EIIS Summit è sicuramente stato un regalo ben accolto e un’esperienza da vivere!
Le nostre guide e i docenti sono anch’essi di grande rilievo!

The Food & Sustainability Certificate Program has been a worthwhile investment of time. I appreciate how much the program focused on innovative solutions rather than dwelling on problems without providing actionable plans.

I am grateful to Sveva Ciapparoni and the entire EIIS team for curating an insightful and thoughtful experience, and for bringing inspiring leaders from IFAD, FAO, and other UN-affiliated organizations to enrich our live sessions.

The live sessions were my favorite part of the program. I loved hearing from fellow participants—learning about their diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives on key topics. In addition to learning about each other, we had the opportunity to engage with a different expert in the field of food and sustainability each week. Learning from them and engaging in thoughtful discussions during the Q&A segment was invaluable. I also appreciated the encouragement to connect with guest speakers via LinkedIn, which provided an opportunity to build lasting professional relationships beyond the classroom.

The program didn’t just cover the many facets of food and sustainability—it fostered a strong sense of collaboration, networking, and community. The continued connection through the EIIS alumni network makes this experience a gift that keeps on giving.

The Food & Sustainability course was a personal challenge that I decided to take and it exceeded my expectations! It resulted in a very rich experience, full of learning and connections with new colleagues.

It was an intense journey on Food System learnings including topics like sustainable agriculture, food loss and food waste, sustainable nutrition considering the Innovation, education and policy approaches. The course concluded with the on site experience with visits at International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and Quintosapore, an agroecology example of agriculture!

I would like to thank Sveva Ciapparoni and the EIIS - European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability team for leading us throughout the course and the On-Site Experience!

Very well rounded program with lots of experts subject matters all more passionate then the others. The onsite experience is one not to be missed as it gives the real practice insight into sustainability in fashion. The online platform/self paced course is also very well made.

I studied the Food and Sustainability program at EIIS (European Institute of Innovation and Sustainability) from March to June 2025 a duration of four months. The program covered topics like, the paradoxes affecting our food system and their impact on our planet, spread awareness about food sustainability and its importance, understand and influence food related policies and also work with food in a sustainable way. This certification was delivered online through online live zoom sessions, self paced online modules including weekly assignments, group work and above all onsite modules as well.
The instructors were knowledgeable and brought real world experiences for better understanding.The notes provided was more than expected. Our program guide/head Sveva, gave us useful feedbacks on our assignments and was also available for questions. I also enjoyed listening to experts like Jeffrey Sachs, Gladys Morals, Carlo Fadda, Marcela Villarreal Pouw and most especially Patricia Bubner who talks about the Orbillion's Premium Cell Cultured meat.
What i enjoyed most was the approached of lecture used. The experts explain well and responded to questions asked, the real world videos were explicit enough. However, i felt and preferred all videos would have been in English language but some were in Italian but translated. It was difficult to focus on reading and at the same time watching what was happening in the videos.
Upon completion of the program, i was able to gain more knowledge that has improve my confidence in my present field of work and be able to compete in the international level. I wish to recommend this certification to persons who wish to start a carrier or improve on their carriers.

I have participated in the EIIS 2025 Food Talent Camp, and the experience was one of a kind.

During the first two days, I attended the EIIS Summit 2025, where decision-makers, entrepreneurs, academics, journalists, and representatives of agricultural organisations tackled the nexus between innovation and sustainability, with a specific focus on cooperation and communication.

For the following two days, together with my fellow Talents from all over the world, I could delve into practical, real-world challenges that Italian food companies are currently facing.
We worked with Barilla, debating the issue of sustainable packaging, and with Lactalis, discussing how to collect effective and accurate data from farms in order to reduce Scope3 emissions.
We finally visited Eataly, where we analysed its products and discussed how brands communicate their sustainability efforts.

All in all, I can easily say this experience was enriching and allowed me to learn and put into practice some key concepts of innovation and sustainability. I would happily recommend EIIS to anyone.

Sicuramente l'esperienza in oasi è stata la cosa più bella del corso. Ma non solo per l'esperienza on nature in sé, anche per la conoscenza diretta dei compagni di corso, dei ragazzi fantastici dell'Oasi e dei mitici Gabriele, Laura e Joelle. Il corso ti inserisce in una rete di conoscenze incredibile, oltre a metterti a disposizione tutti gli esperti Wwf e Eiis.

Esperienza fantastica, il corso di manager della biodiversità ha acceso in me la scintilla che cercavo per avvicinarmi al mondo natura e animali. Il corso è solido e ben strutturato, con ottime videolezioni e diapositive che fanno percepire le tante vie per cui la biodiversità è fondamentale e va preservata. La miglior parte va alle persone però, un'esperienza in oasi indimenticabile e un gruppo di persone che mi han fatto sentire parte di una famiglia, dai compagni di corso agli organizzatori e le direttrici del corso.

Ho frequentato il corso di Art Manager in EIIS e nel complesso l’esperienza è stata molto positiva. L'organizzazione è stata ottima fin dal primo momento: Valeria, Lada e Sveva sono sempre state disponibili, chiare e presenti per ogni esigenza. Il programma, curato da Marco Bassan e Ludovico Pratesi, è ben strutturato e affronta con chiarezza i principali aspetti del mercato dell'arte contemporanea, offrendo una panoramica completa utile a chi si avvicina o vuole consolidare le proprie conoscenze in questo settore. Ho apprezzato molto la formula mista: lezioni online che permettono la partecipazione da tutta Italia, ma anche incontri in presenza che hanno facilitato la conoscenza tra i partecipanti e la collaborazione nei lavori di gruppo, in particolare nel progetto finale. Molto valido anche il coinvolgimento di vari esperti per i diversi moduli, che ha reso i contenuti ancora più ricchi e stimolanti. Le giornate inaugurale e conclusiva, con visite in musei e luoghi d'arte a Roma, sono state un valore aggiunto concreto e coinvolgente. Nel complesso, ho trovato un ambiente giovane, dinamico, aperto e con uno sguardo attento all’innovazione, al digitale e alle nuove modalità di formazione. Un approccio che, pur partendo dalla realtà italiana, mostra una volontà concreta di avvicinarsi a standard più contemporanei e internazionali, in linea con le trasformazioni che sempre più caratterizzano il panorama artistico.

Nel programma, organizzato da Ludovico Pratesi, Marco Bassan e Valeria Ferlito, ho trovato esattamente quello che cercavo. Sono potuta entrare nel mercato dell'arte contemporanea, incontrando molte persone che attualmente svolgono ruoli diversi, ciascuno estremamente rilevante in questo settore; persone di cui ricordo la passione, la competenza e il desiderio di condividere la loro esperienza con noi. Ho trovato geniale l'organizzazione tra lezioni in presenza, da remoto, moduli off-line e anche esperienze dirette presso musei e gallerie d'arte. Il challenge based learning come metodo di apprendimento è decisamente servito a far capire quanto sfidante possa essere il settore dell'arte contemporanea. Infine, ma non certo per ultime, anzi, le persone che ho incontrato durante questo percorso rimarranno sempre per me un punto di riferimento per un confronto, un suggerimento su quello che ho in mente di fare. Grazie a tutti, è stata una bellissima esperienza!

Fin da subito, l'istituto mi ha accolto con grande gentilezza, guidandomi passo dopo passo attraverso tutte le fasi dell'iscrizione. Le comunicazioni sono sempre state puntuali e precise, sia per chiarimenti sulle lezioni che per questioni organizzative.
Ho trovato le lezioni in diretta con gli specialisti dei vari settori particolarmente interessanti. Ascoltare esperienze dirette e avere la possibilità di fare domande è, a mio parere, il miglior confronto che uno studente possa desiderare.
Ludovico Pratesi e Marco Bassan si sono rivelati due insegnanti eccellenti, capaci di motivarmi ulteriormente a trovare il mio spazio nel mondo dell'arte.
Valeria e Sveva sono le "braccia" che chiunque vorrebbe avere in un team!

The course is amazing. It splits between self learning and live calls with people from global brands talking about their strategies and experiences, giving you the opportunity to connect and ask questions. Plus, the in-person module is exceptional. Having the opportunity to go behind the scenes of all those factories and manufacturers, see how the fabrics are made, ask questions and connect with industry professionals in the fashion and textile industry is unmatched and unbelievable. If you're thinking of taking the Fashion Sustainability Management course, just do it. You won't regret it.

Since this course is almost entirely online, it's difficult to create connection with teachers and peers so being in Milan for this week was an amazing experience of meeting everyone in person. Getting to know each other in person was the number one highlight of the experience. Second, the visits to the companies and factories made the fashion supply chain so much more vivid. Being able to see the process of dyeing, knitting, weaving, and how these companies have optimized for sustainability was invaluable.

This was my first time in Italy, and I’m truly grateful to Martina and the entire EIIS team for ensuring smooth and timely communication throughout the trip. Experiencing Italian hospitality and meeting people so passionate about their country and culture was a real highlight.
However, the most impactful part of the journey was visiting the factories and engaging directly with industry specialists. Listening to their presentations, exploring new innovations, and discussing policy developments made this on-site experience the standout of the EIIS CP in Fashion & Sustainability – 6th edition.
I highly recommend that future students take part in the on-site experience—it brings the learning to life in a powerful way.

This course has taught me how complex our global food system is. I have gained insights from many different perspectives on sustainability, paradoxes, structures, and challenges. I have listened to many thought-provoking speakers who have shared insights on innovations, structural changes, and solutions to food waste and food loss.
The onsite event was truly memorable, with visits to a restaurant owner in central Rome and IFAD's office. We also had the opportunity to visit a dairy and a farm with innovative solutions. But above all, the highlight was meeting all the course participants and having the chance to talk and discuss what we care about the most—food and sustainability. Thank you, EIIS!

È stata davvero una bella esperienza! Frequentare il corso, significa approfondire tutti gli aspetti della biodiversità e provare a chiarire le complesse interazioni tra uomo, animali e ambiente. È stata senza dubbio un’esperienza arricchente. Ho avuto modo di confrontarmi con professionisti che lavorano in ambiti diversi ma condividono una visione comune e questo è stato davvero prezioso per la mia formazione.
