Easy sales process. Rayden Ramkisson was friendly and super helpful. His attention to the customer is excellent. He even sent me a form from the manufacturer of the wood stove I purchased so that I could take advantage of a special promotion, and then called me 2 days later to follow up. Although there was a hiccup with the shipping, it was entirely the fault of the shipping company, not Fire Pit Surplus. And for free shipping, it was a hell of a deal.

We ordered our concrete fire pit and despite the long shipping estimate it showed up significantly ahead of schedule. It was well packed and loaded on a palette, which was 400lbs total. The shipper hung around while we removed the packaging and inspected for damage, but it arrived in perfect condition. Setup was easy and we were up and running in 45 mins including leveling and tearing down the packaging.

The fire pit itself is solid, looks phenomenal, and is a massive positive addition to the ambiance of our patio. Outstanding experience!

Ordering the fire pit was a breeze. I ordered it in Sunday night and Friday morning it was in my backyard! The instructions for receiving the fire pit were so helpful. It’s beautiful and exactly what we wanted.

We wanted to send a final set of pictures showing how amazing everything turned out! The fire pillars and fire pit are perfect and provide us with a great view as well as extending our usability of the swim spa and deck year-round! We couldn't be happier! Super happy with the Pottery Works 48” firebowl in natural concrete with lava rock. The bowl is the centerpiece in our backyard space with seating and side tables surrounding it. Roasting s’mores was the highlight of one of our evenings as well as drinking wine with friends and watching the fire. Customer service was friendly and answered all my concern about installation and weight.

Fire Pit Surplus is almost assuredly a simple drop shipper. They’ve applied to be a dealer from a number of manufacturers and built a spiffy website, but don’t seem to have much if any actual hands-on experience.

They have an address somewhere in Wyoming. It’s a web host / tech incubator.

The second you sign up or purchase anything from them, they’ll start sending you barrels full of spam email from their “Founder”. As a Founder, she’s completely invisible on the internet, probably because she’s fabricated.

I had a massive run around from this company. I’d never buy anything from them ever again. Instead I walked into a brick and mortar store and ordered the item of interest. They said they hear about this kind of thing all the time in the outdoor supplies and furniture market. I don’t know how you’d go about dealing with any sort of after sales issue with a shadow company.

We installed the Dimplex Ignite XL 74" in our living room a few months ago, and honestly, it’s one of the best home upgrades we’ve made.
