Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service. Ordered parts 4.30pm one day, they were delivered to a named neighbour the following morning, with free postage! Excellent.
Great Experience
Had a really good experience with fowlers motorcycles, props to Neil Cairns. Will recommend this company any day!
Quick delivery of needed part
Managed to shear the sprocket bolt on my KTM and local dealer had no stock. eBay seller were about £12, £6.70 delivered in 2 days from Fowlers. Excellent.
Absolutely disgusting service!
Absolutely disgusting service!! Booked my bike in over 4 weeks ago for service. Mot. Rear tyre and check brakes. Dropped the bike off evening before. Next day 4pm I had heard nothing so I called to find out service and tyre are all completed but to be informed they could not MOT it as it’s the wrong class. This was not advised on booking or dropping off!! I then phoned back an hour later to be informed they were trying to get it booked in somewhere for MOT and they would call me next morning. 10am today I was called to say that the head race bearings were worn and needed replacement. I asked why this was not mentioned evening before and they couldn’t answer. Bear in mind the bike is less than 3 years old with only 5800 miles on. They tried to explain its wear and tear but how can this be at age and mileage and nothing was wrong when the bike went in. They couldn’t tell me how much it costs as didn’t have a quote ready and also couldn’t tell me what I owed so far. I asked them to check and call me back in half hour. This they did do and quoted £750 for head race bearings plus what I owed. I then informed them that I would collect the bike and get sorted elsewhere. I am a service manager in the motor trade for over 30years and have never seen this disgusting service. On collecting the bike now on ride home the steering is dangerous and was never like this before it went in. I’m now having to sort a dangerous bike out plus get it MOT somewhere else. To top it off they phoned me recently to see if I wanted to trade it in for another!! What an absolute joke!! I will make sure all my family and friends that have bikes through them never to use them for service or repairs!! Very very angry is an understatement!!
POOR SERVICE / LACK OF INTEREST
Bought a brand new husky from them on saturday..appointment at 11am , actually left at 2pm...no owners manual , service book or anything...it was as if they really were not interested. expected a little more when purchasing a new motorcycle. total lack of interest from the staff...in 50 years of motorcycle riding (and buying) this is the worst experience I have had....
Awful customer service
My problem lies with my visit today. My brand new moped wouldn't start today with what look like battery issues. RAC came out after about 3 hours and said it was battery problems. He was brilliant to be fair and offered to relay this to the service team at Fowlers, which he did.
Keep the bike running, get it to the service centre. Fine, on my way.
I arrive at reception to be greeted by the same guy from Fowlers that I spoke to on the phone. He then proceeded to process my bike or whatever he was doing for a good 5-10 minutes with no communication to me. He then abruptly handed me a form to sign (didn't even say what it was) and asked if I had my key. I asked well, what for? Is it something that's looked at while I wait or am I leaving my bike here?
"We'll ask a technician to look at it and let you know."
He then walked off and left me waiting... okay... I'll wait then I guess.
Waited a good hour with no update and quite frankly no idea what was actually happening in the first place. Asked a member of staff who was doing training and explained the situation (she was brilliant btw!). She said they're still waiting on a technician so might be a while. Absolutely fine, thanks for actually letting me know something!
Once it was all done, they replaced the battery after probably 90 minutes of waiting. I said I'm not happy with the fact it broke down to be honest given its a new bike. I said I hope it doesn't happen again because I use it for work.
The original agent, who I later found out was the MANAGER retorted, "We tried it in the shop and it started every time." I said well there was obviously an issue because it didn't start earlier did it? "Well it started every time for us... we replaced the battery anyway."
So not only had he been rude from the start he's now accusing me of lying?
The girl doing training was absolutely fantastic. She may not have the full understanding of processes yet but at least she had great customer service. I think this so called manager needs to take some training from the new girl on how to deal with customers!
I hope nobody else has to deal with service like this. After losing a full day's work and waiting several hours to get the bike sorted I'd expect at least decent customer service. Especially because it was a brand new bike that had broken down!
Very pleased with the service provided…
Very pleased with the service provided by Kevin in the KTM department. Many thanks. Pete
Good gesture by Fowlers
Further to my recent review I would like to thank Chris and Sarah for all their efforts
I returned my bike and was given a free first service a full tank of fuel and bike cleaner
the damaged fairing was ordered and arrived today
I am very happy with the customer service and will use them again
Thank you.
Tired ??
Outside cafe is great ! Shop service could be better but it is demanding times so an allowance needs to be made for that , world wide shortage of materials & uk staff
Terrible Customer Service
Booked my KTM 990 in for a service and repair. Two day job so got a train home. Called next day at the appointed time. Bike not ready, still working on it. Waited a couple of hours. By midday still not sign of fault being fixed. Had to be in Exeter by 3pm to collect grandchildren from school and childmind. By 1pm I asked for a courtesy vehicle and eventually they gave me a Honda 125. Drove flat out down the M5 to get to the school in the nick of time. Was stopped by Police on the motorway as the bike had L plates! Took bike back next day but mine was still not ready. After prolonged discussions I was given a 1200cc Honda to use until my bike was ready a few days later. Bike eventually fixed and returned. Happy with the work done but terrible service. Whilst I was waiting the numerous other people waiting shared their experiences, which were similar to mine.
Great customer service
Great customer service, was very impressed with the assistant that helped me,her knowledge was extensive. Came away with exactly what I wanted. Thankyou very much
very poor customer care
very poor customer care, staff not interested in sorting out any problems , they dont keep you imformed, took my brand new triumph street triple for service and rear tyre change due to puncture, they completed work after i caused a fuss, then gave my bike back to me covered in bird mess. i will not be using this company ever again, and will be taking my bike elswhere for servicing and repairs. why would i use them again?
Initially thought they were top tier…
Initially thought they were top tier when I bought my bike from them brand new, obviously I was wrong and it's only good service when you spending the big bucks.
My bike had to go in for damage repairs, it's been two weeks now and I've called them almost every day for an update, I still do not know how much it will cost, I still do not now how much longer it will take to be repaired, if the parts have been ordered or if this will take any longer. I have been given zero information over 2 weeks and every single time I call I get told it's not a problem and that they will call me back the next day. (Spoiler they never do) I also said if it's easier for them to reply with just an email then just so I know where I stand as I need my bike for work commuting I'm now stuck with taking Busses and Ubers in emergencies.
This is actually beyond ridiculous that after 2 weeks I can't be given a quote, a date or even an estimate.
I tried calling now (Saturday) when they're still open and sat on hold for almost 20 minutes listening to a dial tone and no response.
The service is actually appalling, I never write a bad review, so this just highlights how bad this has been.
Please sort this out.....
Love the alfresco dining plus 1st class 2nd hand bikes
Love the alfresco dining, great bikes and first class sales persons
I bought a 2015 CBR650F from Fowlers. The staff were wonderful and the bike has brought me so much joy since. Fowlers only keep the best of the part exchanges that they receive each year and it shows. My bike is so special and has been a superb since I brought it 8k miles ago, (pre Covid).
I also love the alfresco facilities that Fowlers erected in the car park due to the Covid19 restrictions. It is an absolute pleasure to sit having a drink watching the motorbikes arrive and leave. I can barely stop myself humming "siiting on the dock of a bay".
Finally, they have rearranged the gear ranges during lockdown and now the ladies section is next to the changing rooms. Yippee!!! :) . Could it get any better?
Fantastic service.
Web orders for Pan spares.
Website very easy to use.
All parts sorted and bike rebuild (or so I thought) discovered I had lost a pin bolt, bike already booked for MOT.
Phoned to clarify shipping times before I ordered, just to see if I needed to cancel MOT, and Penny who answered the phone couldn't have been more helpful.
Part arrived next day (5 days quicker than my local redwing dealer could offer), bike all back together whilst we still have good weather.
WILL DEFINITELY BE USING FOWLERS AGAIN!!
One happy grumpy old biker here :)
Awfull service
Cant belive a friend who i. With has just had a bike serviced.....gone home checked oil and well below level .
When he told the reception. They asked him to bring the bike in ...With oil below the min level ......or they would visit to check .....They wouldn't give him any oil as if he wasn't belive. I've typed this on his behalf ..
The best
Really great for mail order parts and the choice of delivery, dpd or Royal Mail is great. Quick despatch time even for aprilia parts that aren't in stock, if it's in stock usually next day delivery. Haven't used anyone else for for 10 years.
I have been using Fowlers for parts for…
I have been using Fowlers for parts for a number of years. The staff are always happy to help and do their utmost to find parts for older or more obscure bikes, even if it means digging around in their old library of parts catalogues.
Prices are always competitive and delivery is prompt.
Thank you Fowlers.
Excellent service.....Thank you
Fowlers E Mails re Dispatch are not what they seem
I have previously reviewed Fowler's spares operation as 5*--for speed and stocking accuracy.
All good things come to an end.
I ordered a sole O ring that was shown as in stock. After I received an invoice and a note of dispatch I subsequently received a communication that said they didn't have the item. These things happen but I didn't get notification till the day I expected it to arrive.
Odd I thought to get an invoice and e mail of dispatch in this situation. The explanation is contained in the following E Mail extract. ie Comms re posting are automatic and appear unrelated to any real activity. Go figure---
" Please Note: this message supersedes any other message you may have received - you may have been sent an order confirmation or despatch/shipment notification regarding the item/s shown above - these are automatically generated and should be disregarded.
