The company was launched in 2010 having previously provided the same service for 15 years when part of Bank of Scotland. Changing vehicle is a significant event in people’s lives. The compliance-led service is designed to provide important information and offer free financial services advice enabling customers to make informed decisions in relation to certain Financial Services products such as Mechanical Breakdown Insurance and GAP Insurance which is only available for a limited period after taking delivery of the vehicle. GID partner with dealers, lenders and brokers who prefer to outsource this work to a specialist firm.

Great product for full peace of mind
Mis leading policy
I was advised that the gap policy included extras such as key cover, excess cover, accident manager so I agreed to the cover .
When I received an email I can see that they are individual policies .
I only wanted GAP insurance so I believe I was mis sold the other aspects of the policy !
I received a call back from the original handler who confirmed that it is a complete package only.
The salesman was very informative and helpful .
I did explain to him that I felt that the policy wording showing that the gap insurance was a fraction of the cost was not good .
