I am not having a great experience with letting a property. They are often hard to get a hold of and I find myself having to deal with all steps of the process myself. The whole point of having a letting agent is to take away some of the stress... they are adding to it.

One of the poorest processes I've been through as a tenant. The agents were incredibly poorly organised and despite clearing us for our property brought up a myriad of issues just 1 week before moving in (despite providing all these documents a month earlier). We were then left with only hours to read and sign our contract and pay the deposit and first months rent. Clearly they are terribly organised yet they hound you over the phone to get everything sorted last minute. Completely avoid them if you can, they are rubbish.

Casey kept up with my barrage of emails as one tenancy was ending and a new one beginning. Helped fairly with the tenancy deposit decision and mediated communication between myself and my tenants.
Seamlessly set up the new tenancy agreement all done promptly and efficiently.

From the initial engagement right through to the signing of the tenant’s agreement, my car manager Casey Clifton ensured I was guided and updated throughout. All my potential tenants were checked for their suitability to meet the payments each month but also that they met the criteria I had stated for the let. The additional services such as the inventory check was far more thorough than I thought it would be and I highly recommend it as I do the other services.

the most childish stupid and customer unfriendly company. the only company that when you call asks you to show your number otherwise turn it off. if you are scared to speak to people why you have opened a business

Terrible experience as a landlord. Once I paid for full management, communication was really poor. After six weeks, they claimed 20 viewings with no feedback or records and told me I’d need to pay again to continue. Total waste of time and money—no refund, no results. I switched agencies and had proper updates and tenants within three weeks. Avoid at all costs.

I have to say I was sceptical with an online service but up to now without doubt the communication has been fantastic. I can always reach Casey. She responds promptly is helpful and guide me to use the online site.

Making the move from an agent that sold their services as fully managed to a model where we as the landlord are more actively involved was a bit daunting. We were paying the previous agent 15.6% annually of the rent. The problem we faced was they did not manage our property well. So we looked online at various agents and found lettingaproperty.com. The plan that we choose offered 3 months insurance for part of the rent, and legal cover up to £50k, which I hope to God we will never use. However, when you have a problem the last thing you need is large legal bill each month and no income.
We had an up front meeting via Team/Zoom. paid the upfront costs for our plan, £149, and the pictures and virtual tour, which i think cost us £119 each. We won't need doing that every year.
We arranged the viewings via their app, and I would say to reconfirm the day before as we had one no show due to an urgent matter!! After showing the property we had 2 offers. One of which has come to fruition and our plan covered, 2 * right to rent check, affordability check and reference check. Our previous agent charged us £60 for each of those.
The contract was drawn up in their tool within the App, and the previous agent charged us £360 for the contract.
We also found as part of the process that our ECIR was out of date and the previous agent had entered the wrong date in their system and exposed us to potential £30k fine.
All said, and done. Abigail, Talia, and Ryan were all great to work with and we are very happy to be with Lettingaproperty.com as we think we have joined a great team offering great products that offer autonomy allowing you to select the support model you need.
